Purpose: This study was conducted to identify the status of health management and to evaluate the need for health professionals in day care centers in the South Korea. Method: Data were obtained from 360 child care providers in 16 provinces from May to August, 2007. Data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 14.0. Results: Safety education (traffic. 83.8% general safety. 71.6%) was provided more often than the other topic of education. All health related education was provided by child care providers. When minor health problems occurred, the most common management strategy was to send the child home (36.1%). During emergency conditions, majority of child care providers preferred taking the children to medical centers without giving any emergency care and 19.4% reported sending the child home without any immediate care. Child care providers recognized the need for health care professionals. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest the need for services of health professionals in day care centers to satisfy the needs and expectations for health management in these centers. As health professionals, public health nurses or pediatric nurse practitioners may play an important role in health management of children in day care centers.
The current study is a meta analysis study to identify the factors related to infection management performance and the effect size according to the factors. Data collection was included from the data of KMBASE, RISS, KISS, DBpia, National Library of Korea, Pubmed, and EMBASE. R3.5.1 was used for the data analysis. A total of 22 factors were identified. The meta analysis showed the effect size as follows: gender(.16), age(.30), education(.32), beds(.28), needs of education in infection management(.44), participating in education of infection management(.25), recognition/knowledge in infection management(.70). Based on the findings, evidence based programs need to be provided to improve the infection management performance of health workers at Long-Term Care Hospitals.
This study was conducted to evaluate the sanitary performance and education of elementary and middle school food service employees, by administering questionnaires to 358 elementary school food service employees and 171 middle school food service employees in Seoul. The collected data were subjected to descriptive analysis and $X^2$ tests using the SPSS package program. On the questionnaire, items pertaining to personal hygiene, ingredient control, process control, safety management, and sanitation education were used to measure sanitary performance, with a maximum possible rating of 5 per each category. The results can be summarized as follows. Elementary school food service employees' had the following sanitary performances scores: personal hygiene(4.75), ingredient control(4.82), process control(4.73), safety management(4.69) and sanitation education(4.29). Middle school food service employees' had the following performance ratings: personal hygiene(4.62), ingredient control(4.71), process control(4.71), safety management(4.61) and sanitation education(4.05). In the elementary school employees, 59.8% received regular sanitation education once per month, while 67.3% of middle school employees received regular sanitation education more than once per month. At the elementary schools, food service sanitation education was conducted verbally(39.4%), while middle school sanitation education was principally carried out through the distribution of leaflets(41.5%). The average effectiveness scores for food service verbal education were 2.97 out of a possible 5 at the elementary schools and 2.94 out of 5 at the middle schools. In both elementary and middle schools, the majority of the employees attributed the low level of sanitation knowledge in food service to a lack of facilities and equipment.

Purpose: This study was aimed to investigate educational need of nursing managerial competency in the hospitals. Method: The data were collected from 296 nurses(nurse manager and nurse) who had worked in 9 hospitals using the structured questionnaires. Data was analysed by the SPSS for Windows 12.0 program. Results: Educational needs of the nurse managerial competency development were very high. Most of items in the areas of 'human resource management', 'leadership', 'ethic/ law responsibility' and 'quality improvement' were needed for nurse managerial competency development. Current level of the nurse managerial competency level in practice was lower than education need. However nurses had moderate level ability in the areas of 'ethic/ law responsibility', 'human resource management' and 'nursing information management'. There were significant differences in current level and need of the nurse managerial competency(p=.000). Education needs of the nurse managerial competency were influenced by age, clinical career, position, education level, experience of nurse manager education(p<.05). 5) Education program operations were preferred to 'the theme course', 'lecture', 'external education institution'. Conclusion: Education program of the nursing managerial competency development is urgently needed for nurses who have worked in a hospital.

The advancements in scientific technology and information network in the 21st century allow us to easily acquire a desired knowledge. In the midst of today's informatization, globalization, and cultural diversification, adolescents experience emotional confusion while accommodating diverse cultures and information. This study aimed at examining three aspects of character suggested by the Ministry of Education, which are ethics, sociality, and emotion, and the actual sub-factors required for character education. To that end, a survey was conducted with adolescents who were at a character-building age, and social network analysis (SNA) was performed to determine the effect of character education on the sub-factors. The statistics program SPSS was used to investigate the general traits of the subjects and the validity of the research variables. The 2-mode data that were finally selected were converted to 2-mode data using NetMinder 4, which is a network analysis tool. Furthermore, a data network was established based on a quasi-network that represents the relationships between ethics, sociality, and emotion. The results of this study showed that the subjects considered honesty and justice to be the sub-domains of the ethics domain. In addition, they identified sympathy, communication, consideration for others, and cooperation as the sub-domains of the sociality domain. Finally, they believed that self-understanding and self-control were the sub-domains of the emotion domain.
Purpose - Recently, entrepreneurship education has been revitalized with interest in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship education is an educational service activity that is provided for entrepreneurship and individual start-up success within a certain period of time. According to previous studies on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship, the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education affects entrepreneurship and as a result increases entrepreneurship. In recent years, the number of female entrepreneurs has also increased as the number of entrepreneurial issues has increased. Based on previous studies, this research proposed the theoretical framework about the structural relationships among mentoring quality (career development, psychological social, role modeling), education satisfaction, recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. This study is to find out the possibility of attempting to create a theoretical basis for entrepreneurial mentoring education in entrepreneurship education program. Research design, data, and methodology - In this model, mentoring quality consists of three sub-dimensions such as career development, psychological social, and role modeling. In order to test research model and hypotheses, the data were collected from 203 female college students who participated in entrepreneurial education. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equational modeling with SPSS 24.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical program. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, role modeling has a positive effect on recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. Second, career development has a strong negative effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Third, career development and role modeling had a positive effect on educational satisfaction, and educational satisfaction had positive influence on recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. Conclusions - As women's social advancement becomes more active, start-up support programs including entrepreneurship mentoring are increasing. The results of this study suggest how to use the mentoring program mix and how to allocate the resources for the education program when the entrepreneurial education manager plans and executes the mentoring education program. For example, this study shows that career development and role modeling enhance educational satisfaction, and in turn increase recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. This means that entrepreneurship education should consist of contents that include career development functions such as sponsorship, guidance, protection, and provision of challenging work. In addition, the findings of this study indicate that mentors should perform the function of allowing the participants to have confidence and professional thinking ability at the time of start up based on their experiences.
This qualitative research on women in multi-cultural families aims to analyze their clothing weight, habit, management and purchasing of clothing as well as their children's in order to provide fundamental data or literature for their adjustment in Korean clothing culture and health management. The research was conducted by interviews to eleven married foreign women with nationality of various climates, and subsequently by categorical analysis and subject analysis. The final outcome in terms of subjects included 'heating/cooling system as to environmental temperature', 'scope of climate adaptation differences in the amount of clothing', 'sleepwear and bedding' and 'clothing purchasing behaviour'. The empirical survey showed that those who came from colder regions or warmer regions had difficulties adjusting to the climate. And their clothing weight & clothing habits, originated from their home countries, were found to be kept stable and to be systematically transferred to their children as well. When it comes to sleepwear and bedding, the women seemed to be less interested in them than normal outerwear, but they tended to like to cover the belly of their babies while they didn't have sufficient nightwear for themselves. And shopping and management of clothing were another area with differences between those women and Korean ones. These results imply that further research on the multicultural families, in particular on their clothing behavior, and on changeability of the behaviour through education or through evolution is needed.
In this paper, we studied the four stages of quality related education and training and identified alignment factors that have influence on successful TQM education and training. Based on extensive literature reviews the four stages are extracted such as quality concepts training, quality tools training, special topics training, and leadership training. Also we determine the alignment factors. A framewok of research model including above factors is developed and tested statistically. The perceived data are collected from managers of quality departments of 140 Korean firms through survey. The results show that alignment factors which achieve success in Quality related education training are using relevant examples and implementing training at the top in quality concepts training, providing time and opportunity to master skills in quality tools training, organizing courses into a logical curriculum in special topics training, and providing ongoing feedback in leadership training. We also offered numerous suggestions that can help organizations develop effective training programs to meet their objectives.

This study aimed to analyze the content of Records Data Management (RDM) training programs provided by 51 out of 121 university libraries in North America that implemented RDM services, and to provide implications from the results. For the content analysis, 317 titles of classroom training programs and 42 headings at the highest level from the tables of content of online tutorials were collected and coded based on 12 data literacy competencies identified from previous studies. Among classroom training programs, those regarding data processing and analysis competency were offered the most. The highest number of the libraries provided classroom training programs in relation to data management and organization competency. The third most classroom training programs dealt with data visualization and representation competency. However, each of the remaining 9 competencies was covered by only a few classroom training programs, and this implied that classroom training programs focused on the particular data literacy competencies. There were five university libraries that developed and provided their own online tutorials. The analysis of the headings showed that the competencies of data preservation, ethics and data citation, and data management and organization were mainly covered and the difference existed in the competencies stressed by the classroom training programs. For effective RDM training program, it is necessary to understand and support the education of data literacy competencies that researchers need to draw research results, in addition to competencies that university librarians traditionally have taught and emphasized. It is also needed to develop educational resources that support continuing education for the librarians involved in RDM services.
Purpose: Research and development of human capital in countries bring sustainable development to the nations. Especially for developing countries, the attraction of foreign direct investment not only brings economic growth to the country but also contributes to improving human capital. This study aims to assess the impact of foreign direct investment on human capital in ASEAN countries. Research design, data and methodology: With data collected from ASEAN countries from 1990 to 2019, panel data analysis is performed with revised model types (the Pooled OLS, Fixed effect model, Random effect model and regression with Driscoll-Kraay standard errors). Result: The results of the regression analysis show that FDI has a positive impact on human capital. At the same time, the study also found that public investment in education also positively affects human capital; the life expectancy factor does not affect human capital. Conclusions: With this research result, the authors also proposed a number of solutions to improve human capital by attracting FDI and improving the efficiency of investment for the education of ASEAN countries. Besides, public expenditure on education also plays an important role in raising human capital. Therefore, investment in education should be promoted further in the future.
