  • As software is varied and grew in size, the importance of clear understanding and representing customer's need, has been emphasized. It is not easy to drive and define critical system needs, since requirements in early stage of the development, is and conceptual. Technical perspective view, Several theoretical analysis methods and validation techniques are introduced, but in practice, it is hard to drive clear customer's requirement. In this paper, to drive clear customer's requirements, Macrostruktur concept of textlinguistics is used. First, Macrostruktur of textlinguistics is used to analysis descriptive requirements. Second, Macrostruktur-rule is applied to analyzed Macrostruktur data in order to derive Macrostruktur-propositions. Finally, it is proposed to generating Use-case model using derived Macrostruktur-propositions.

  • The complex documentation involved in power system analysis software require a well-defined and friendly database system. We have developed an object-oriented database management system for power system analysis, and have described load flow analysis and transient stability analysis using object-oriented database(OODB). Database management systems are widely used and achieve high reliability of data management in the engineering fields. However relational database system have shortcomings in application to power system analysis. ill relational database, the data model is too simple for modeling complex data and database languages are very different from programming languages. Object-oriented techniques are sufficiently powerful to support data-modeling requirements of GUI applications. The GUI is implemented using C++ on a MS windows platform. The OODB supports data modeling requirements of GUI applications and the performance is well acceptable for Gill applications.

  • Several studies have focused on Ca and P requirements for pigs. These requirements are estimated from their retention and bone formation. However, modern pig breeds have different responses to dietary Ca and P than traditional breeds, and their requirements are expected to change on an annual basis. Besides individual Ca and P needs, the Ca to P ratio (Ca/P) is an important factor in determining requirements. This study aimed to implement a linear and quadratic regression analysis to estimate Ca and P requirements based on average daily gain (ADG), apparent total tract digestibility (ATTD) of Ca (ATTD-Ca), ATTD of P (ATTD-P), and crude protein (CP) digestibility. Results show that Ca/P had linear and quadratic effects on ADG in the phytase-supplemented (PS) group in both the 6-11 kg and 11-25 kg categories. In the latter category, the CP digestibility was linearly increased in response to increasing Ca/P in the without-phytase (WP) group. In the 25-50 kg category, there was a linear response of ADG and linear and quadratic responses of CP digestibility to Ca/P in the PS group, while a linear and quadratic increase in CP digestibility and a quadratic effect on ATTD-Ca were observed in the WP group. In the 50-75 kg category, Ca/P had significant quadratic effects on ADG in the PS and WP groups, along with significant linear and quadratic effects on ATTD-Ca. In addition, Ca/P had significant quadratic effects on ATTD-P and led to a significant linear and quadratic increase in the CP digestibility in the WP group. In the 75-100 kg category, analysis showed a significant decrease in ATTD-Ca and ATTD-P in the PS and WP groups; in the latter, ATTD-P and ATTD-Ca were linearly decreased by increasing Ca/P. In conclusion, our equations predicted a higher Ca/P in the 6-25 kg bodyweight categories and a lower Ca/P in the 50-100 kg category than that recommended in the literature.

  • When a system is developed, requirements document is generated by requirement analysts and then translated to formal specifications by specifiers. If a formal specification can be generated automatically from a natural language requirements document, system development cost and system fault from experts' misunderstanding will be decreased. A pronoun can be classified in personal and demonstrative pronoun. In the characteristics of requirements document, the personal pronouns are almost not occurred, so we focused on the decision of antecedent for a demonstrative pronoun. For the higher accuracy in analysis of requirements document automatically, finding antecedent of demonstrative pronoun is very important for elicitation of formal requirements automatically from natural language requirements document via natural language processing. The final goal of this research is to automatically generate formal specifications from natural language requirements document. For this, this paper, based on previous research [3], proposes an anaphora resolution system to decide antecedent of pronoun using natural language processing from natural language requirements document in Korean. This paper proposes heuristic rules for the system implementation. By experiments, we got 92.45%, 69.98% as recall and precision respectively with ten requirements documents.

  • In recent years, numerous studies have attempted to extract quantity data by using Building Information Modeling (BIM). In terms of open-BIM based quantity take-off at the early design stage, only few studies were conducted in the field of cost engineering. A lack of compatibility of open BIM for information exchange is postulated as the cause. The Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) extension model has been developed to accommodate the interoperability with quantity take-off software. Improvement of open BIM for quantity take-off needs exchange requirements and model guidelines. For this purpose, the quantity data of IFC models were analyzed using BIM analysis tools. This paper also provides a proposal of requirements on open BIM based quantity take-off at the early design stage. Further this study have been develop the interface system for open BIM based quantity take-off requirements with the results on this study.

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to make the taxonomy for classifying diverse touchless gestures and establish the design requirements that should be considered in determining suitable gestures during gesture-based interaction design. Background: Recently, the applicability of touchless gestures is more and more increasing as relevant technologies are being advanced. However, before touchless gestures are widely applied to various devices or systems, the understanding on human gestures' natures and their standardization should be prerequisite. Method: In this study, diverse gesture types in various literatures were collected and, based on those, a new taxonomy for classifying touchless gestures was proposed. And many gesture-based interaction design cases and studies were analyzed. Results: The proposed taxonomy consisted of two dimensions: shape (deictic, manipulative, semantic, or descriptive) and motion(static or dynamic). The case analysis based on the taxonomy showed that manipulative and dynamic gestures were widely applied. Conclusion: Four core requirements for valuable touchless gestures were intuitiveness, learnability, convenience and discriminability. Application: The gesture taxonomy can be applied to produce alternatives of applicable touchless gestures, and four design requirements can be used as the criteria for evaluating the alternatives.

  • Recently, companies are trying to gain a competitive advantage in the market to meet the voice of customer. For this purpose, QFD has been used as product development technology in many areas to include the customer' requirements. Also, Kano model has been used to understand the customer' requirements for an effective way. Therefore integration of Kano model and QFD can more efficiently reflect the customer' requirements when designing a new service. This paper proposes PI index by taking into account the current satisfaction position of our company and competitors while IR (Improvement Ratio) value was set uniformity. This study suggests a more accurate index to predict potential improvements and calculates the final importance or priority. Through case studies targeted at elevator maintenance companies, we can have a general idea how much to improve in the near future and estimate the final importance of customer requirements.

  • Recently, UAV manufacturers are developing UAV system in a form that can be controlled by CS regardless of UAV kind and using STANAG 4586 interface standard considering Interoperability. STANAG 4586 is a NATO military standard developed to control various UAVs with standardized equipment. In such a case, UAV handover will inevitably occur and it is one of the most important function for safe UAV flight in platform using STANAG 4586. In the future combat situation where collaboration between AV and UAV is anticipated, seamless handover of UAV is a part of continuous research. In this paper, we propose requirements for UAV handover based on ARP 4761 safety assessment and analyze feasibility of the requirements by comparing UAV handover process in STANAG 4586. As a result of the comparative analysis, the proposed handover requirements based on ARP 4761 includes all the handover procedures of STANAG 4586 and present additional considerations for SOP creation and CS development. Applying the proposed handover requirements in the UAV development process can reduce the probability of loss of UAV control over the handover process and it can be expected to help improve the safety of UAV.
