  • When a input image is extensively magnified on the computer system, it is almost impossible to replicate the original shape because of mismatched coordinates system. In order to resolve the problem, the shape of the magnified image has been reconfigured using the bilinear interpolation method, low pass special filtering interpolation method and B-spline interpolation method, Ferguson curve interpolation method based on the CAD/CAM curve interpolation algorithm. The computer simulation main result was that. Nearest neighbor interpolation method is simple in making the interpolation program but it is not capable to distinguish the original shape. Bilinear interpolation method has the merit to make the magnified shape smooth and soft but calculation time is longer than the other method. Low pass spatial filtering method and B-spline interpolation method has an effect to immerge the intense of the magnified shape but it is also difficult to distinguish the original shape. Ferguson curve interpolation method has sharping shape than B-spline interpolation method.

  • It is important that proving ground damage is correlated with target customer usage. This paper describes the test mode for durability test of active suspension control system for proving ground correlation and optimization. Acceleration, strain, wheel force and other types of data are collected on a vehicle as it traverses different proving ground surfaces. The primary objective of the analysis is to determine which mixture of proving ground surfaces offers the best representation of customer usage while minimizing the total test time. And durability testing offers the best way to assess the capability of a product to reach its reliability target. The test should be representative of the real environmental load and replicate the same customer usage.

이온 크로마토그래피법에 의한 강수 중 철, 구리, 아연의 정량 (Determination of Iron, Copper, and Zinc in Rainwater by Ion Chromatography)

  • A method is developed for the simultaneous determination of dissolved iron, copper, and zinc in rainwater. The method involves 25-fold evaporative concentration, ion chromatographic separation and subsequent spectrophotometric detection after post-column reaction with 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol. Analytical sensitivities, being defined by the slopes of calibration curves, are 0.93, 0.54, and 0.11 Abs/ $\mu$g/ml for iron, copper, zinc, respectively. Detection limits render around a few tenth of one ng/ml. Precisions evaluated by replicate analysis of real sample are better than 10% RSD. Due to the lack of certified standards for rainwater, the accuracy of the method could not be assessed directly. However, the results of this method agree well with those by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Analytical results for a suite of Seoul rainwaters are presented herein.

Response spectrum analysis for regular base isolated buildings subjected to near fault ground motions

  • This paper presents a response spectrum analysis procedure suitable for base isolated regular buildings subjected to near fault ground motions. This procedure is based on the fact that the isolation system may be treated separately since the superstructure behaves as a rigid body on well selected isolation systems. The base isolated building is decomposed into several single-degree of freedom systems, the first one having the total weight of the building is isolated while the remainder when superposed they replicate approximately the behavior of the superstructure. The response of the isolation system is governed by a response spectrum generated for a single isolated mass. The concept of the procedure and its application for the analysis of base isolated structures is illustrated with an example. The present analysis procedure is shown to be accurate enough for the preliminary design and overcomes the limits of applicability of the conventional linear response spectrum analysis.

  • Videophone service was developed and marketed by AT&T in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The market did not respond to the service offering, and the service was withdrawn. However, Videophone returned in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Due to the technological advance, establishment of ITU standards and fall of videophone price, many analysts are very optimistic about videophone market. But on the other hand, some analysts anticipate that recent videophone will only replicate the past with the same results: namely, market failure. First, this article reviews the history of videophone service, the recent development trend and reasons for its market failure. Second, this article reviews prospects for videophone service. Finally authors examine some of the technological and service features that might shift the value of videophone service.

Bragg 구조를 갖는 Polystyrene 박막필름의 제조방법과그들의 광학적 특성 조사 (Preparation of Polystyrene Thin Films Containing Bragg Structure and Investigation of Their Photonic Characteristics)

  • Polystyrene thin films containing Bragg structures have been successfully obtained by the removal of DBR porous silicon films from the DBR structured porous silicon/polystyrene composite film in HF/$H_2O$ mixture solution and by replicating the nano-structures of porous silicon containing Bragg structure. Polystyrene thin films containing Bragg structures displayed unique optical reflection resonances in optical reflection spectrum. This optical reflection band was resulted from the interference of reflection wavelength at Bragg structure of polystyrene thin films. The wavelength of reflection resonances could be modified by the change of Bragg structure of the master. Polystyrene thin films containing Bragg structures were flexible and maintained their optical characteristics upon bending. The Polystyrene thin films replicate the photonic features and the nanostructure of the master.

Well Defined One-Dimensional Photonic Crystal Templated by Rugate Porous Silicon

  • Well defined 1-dimentional (1-D) photonic crystals of polystyrene replicas have been successfully obtained by removing the porous silicon from the free-standing rugate porous silicon/phenylmethylpolysiloxane composite film. Rugate porous silicon was prepared by an electrochemical etching of silicon wafer in HF/ethanol mixture solution. Exfoliated rugate porous silicon was obtained by an electropolishing condition. A composite of rugate porous silicon/phenylmethylpolysiloxane composite film was prepared by casting a toluene solution of phenylmethylpolysiloxane onto the top of rugate porous silicon film. After the removal of the template by chemical dissolution, the phenylmethylpolysiloxane castings replicate the photonic features and the nanostructure of the master. The photonic phenylmethylpolysiloxane replicas are robust and flexible in ambient condition and exhibit an excellent reflectivity in their reflective spectra. The photonic band gaps of replicas are narrower than that of typical semiconductor quantum dots.

Statistical Considerations in the Design of Biosimilar Cancer Clinical Trials

  • When a patent of an innovative (brand-name) small-molecule drug expires, generic copies of the innovative drug may be marketed if their therapeutic equivalence to the innovative drug has been shown. The small-molecule drugs are considered therapeutically equivalent and can be used interchangeably if two drugs are shown to be pharmaceutically equivalent with identical active substance and bioequivalent with comparable pharmacokinetics in a crossover clinical trial. However, the therapeutic equivalence paradigm cannot be applied to biosimilars since the active ingredients of biosimilars are huge molecules with complex and heterogeneous structures, and these molecules are difficult to replicate in every detail. The European Medicine Agency(EMEA) has introduced a regulatory biosimilar pathway which mandates clinical trials to show therapeutic equivalence. In this paper, we discuss statistical considerations in the design and analysis of biosimilar cancer clinical trials.

초음파 패턴성형시 유동방향 구속에 따른 미세패턴의 성형특성 고찰 (Effect of Material Flow Direction on the Replication Characteristics of the Ultrasonic Patterning Process)

  • The present study addresses a direct patterning process on a plastic film using ultrasonic vibration energy. In this process, a tool horn containing micro-patterns is attached to an ultrasonic power supply, and is used with ultrasonic vibration to replicate micro-patterns on the surface of a plastic film. To improve the replication characteristics of the micro-patterns, the effect of the die shape of the ultrasonic patterning process was investigated with respect to the flow direction control. Finite element analyses were performed to predict the flow characteristics of the polymer with variations in die design parameters. Experiments were conducted using the optimally-designed die, from which it was possible to attain much improved pattern replication.

참전복 치패용 배합사료의 단백질원로서의 밀배아박 첨가효소 (Utilization of Wheat Germ Meal As a Protein Source of Formulated Diet for Juvenile Abalone (Haliotis discus hannai))

  • A growth trial was conducted to investigate the utilization of wheat germ meal as a protein source of formulated diet for juvenile abalone (Haliotis discus hannai). Four replicate groups of the abalone average weighing 150mg were fed one of four isonitrogenous (33%) and isolipidic (6%) diets containing 0%, 10%, 20%, or 30% wheat germ meal for 18 weeks. In addition, these formulated diets were compared with commercial diet. Survival rate, weight gain, soft body weight , and shell growth of abalone fed diets containing 0%, 10%, 20%, or 30% wheat germ meal were not different (P>0.05) from those of abalonn fed the control diet and commercial diet. There were no significant differences (P>0.05) in soft body composition of moisture, protein and lipid. It si concluded that wheat germ meal were be used as a partial protein source of formulated diet for juvenile abalone.
