Replica Technique regarding research for Bit-Line tracking (비트라인 트래킹을 위한 replica 기술에 관한 연구)

  • Replica bit-line technique is used for making enable signal of sense amplifier which accurately tracks bit-line of SRAM. However, threshold voltage variation in the replica bit-line circuit changes the cell current, which results in variation of the sense amplifier enable time, $T_{SAE}$. The variation of $T_{SAE}$ makes the sensing operation unstable. In this paper, in addition to conventional replica bit-line delay ($RBL_{conv}$), dual replica bit-line delay (DRBD) and multi-stage dual replica bit-line delay (MDRBD) which are used for reducing $T_{SAE}$ variation are briefly introduced, and the maximum possible number of on-cell which can satisfy $6{\sigma}$ sensing yield is determined through simulation at a supply voltage of 0.6V with 14nm FinFET technology. As a result, it is observed that performance of DRBD and MDRBD is improved 24.4% and 48.3% than $RBL_{conv}$ and energy consumption is reduced which 8% and 32.4% than $RBL_{conv}$.

A Active Replica LDO Regulator with DC Matching Circuit (DC정합회로를 갖는 능동 Replica LDO 레귤레이터)

  • In this paper, an active replica Low-dropout(LDO) regulator with DC voltage matching circuit is presented. In order to match the voltage between replica and output of regulator, DC voltage matching circuit is designed. The active replica low dropout regulator has higher Power Supply Rejection(PSR) than that of conventional regulator. The designed DC voltage matching circuit can reduce the drawback that may be occurred in replica regulator. And using fully active element in regulator can reduce the chip area and heat noise with resistor. As results of HSPICE simulation with 0.35um CMOS parameter, the designed active replica LDO regulator achieves Power Supply Rejection, -28@10Hz better than -17@10Hz of conventional replica regulator without DC matching circuit. And the output voltage is 3V.

  • When we develop 2D pattern from replica of human body with small pieces, it is inevitable to have some replica pieces overlapped or departed. In this study, the optimized method of 2D pattern development from the 3D replica pieces was investigated using dress-form. Among six arrangement methods, anchoring two vertexes of a replica to neighboring vertexes of a next replica induces the optimized 2D pattern by evenly distributing stress across the 3D replica pieces. Anchoring neighboring vertexes resulted in automatic widening k overlapping (W & O) the interspaces among replicas of dress-form, thereby stress was distributed more evenly than any other method. W&O arrangement method was verified to be the best by examining the 3D space distribution images between body surface and twelve experimental garments.

  • 단순한 데이터통신을 위한 넷(Net)이 정보 교환의 혁명을 일으켰던 웹(Web)으로 발전하였고, 현재 웹은 신경망 형태의 인터넷 구조를 갖는 그리드(grid)를 향해 발전하고 있다. 정보의 교환 및 분산된 자원을 공유하기 위한 그리드 컴퓨팅은 자원의 발견 뿐 만 아니라, 접근 속도와 제한된 자원의 공유를 비롯한 여러 문제점을 가지고 있다. 특히, 데이터에 대한 접근 속도와 제한적인 데이터 공유 문제를 해결하기 위해 Replica 서비스가 제안되었으나, 이러한 Replica 서비스를 원활하게 지원하기 위해서는 Replica 경로 및 정보들을 목록으로 구성해야만 한다. 현재 그리드 컴퓨팅 분야에서 이러한 목록을 구현하는 것과 동시에 최적의 조건을 찾아가는 기법에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 Replica 서비스를 최적화하기 위한 기존의 연구들을 분석하고 Data Location Service를 이용하여 Replica 서비스를 최적화하는 방법을 제안하였다.

Availability-based Server Redirection System for Effective Content Delivery on Web (웹상에서의 효과적인 콘텐츠 전송을 위한 가용율 기반의 서버 재설정 시스템)

  • The server redirection system replicates contents on replica servers in the distributed network environment. When users make a request for contents, the system can provide the contents much faster than the client-server network system. In the server redirection system, it is the most important to select the optimal replica server with user's information because many replica servers are geographically distributed. And, the system can serve contents to users flexibly if a redirector is well constructed. In this paper, the redirector makes a list of candidates suitable for user conditions by the decision tree method and calculates the availability of each replica server. And, the redirector selects the replica server with the highest availability. This paper also proposes an availability-based server redirection system that predicts the availability of each replica server in order to reduce the workload of replica servers and the repetitive communication messages between a redirector and replica servers. If a user accesses the network path for the replica server selected and noticed by the proposed system, the user can get contents effectively and efficiently.

  • This paper described a replica-delay adaptive lock-acquisition scheme for high-speed DLLs. The proposed scheme provides the fast and correct locking cycle that is variable according to the magnitude of the arbitrary replica delay (fixed delay). The scheme guarantees the wide operation range and the fast lock-aquisition time. It has been confirmed by HSPICE simulations in a 0.35${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS process.

Marginal and internal fit of all ceramic crown using the replica technique and the triple-scan protocol (Replica technique과 Triple-scan protocol을 이용한 지르코니아 전부도재관의 변연 및 내면 적합도에 관한 비교 연구)

  • This study was conducted to compare the marginal and internal fit of all ceramic crown using the replica technique and the triple-scan protocol. Materials and methods: Twenty zirconia ceramic crowns were fabricated using titanium abutment model. All crowns were divided into two groups of 10 each, depending on the replica technique and the triple-scan protocol. The internal and marginal fit of 10 zirconia ceramic crowns were measured at 17 points for each specimen using the replica technique. The other 10 ceramic crowns were measured using the triple-scan protocol. Statistical analysis was performed by t-test (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: The mean and standard deviation of marginal and internal fit were significantly different between the replica technique ($49.86{\pm}29.69{\mu}m$) and triple-scan protocol ($75.35{\pm}64.73{\mu}m$, P<.001). The mean and standard deviation of internal fit except marginal fit were $58.38{\pm}31.77{\mu}m$ and $64.00{\pm}46.43{\mu}m$, respectively (P>.343). Conclusion: There was a statistically significant difference in the marginal fit measured by the two methods. However, there was no statistically significant difference in the internal fit between the two methods.

  • In this study, the degree of creep damages on the weldment accelerated creep degradation was nondestructively evaluated by replica method. The frequency of creep cavities occurrence has been observed highly at the intercritical HAZ. The life fraction of weldment damaged by creep has shown from 0.25(damage grade: 2) to 0.75(damage grade: 4) when it reptured. The degree of creep damages is considered to be evaluated by the metallographic replica method which is one of nondestructive evaluation methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 PSRR특성을 향상할 수 있는 능동 Replica LDO레귤레이터 회로를 설계하였고, 능동 Replica LDO레귤레이터의 Replica단과 출력단에서 발생할 수 있는 DC전압 부정합을 최소화하기 위하여 DC정합이 가능한 전압제어회로를 설계하였다. 설계된 회로에서 DC정합을 위한 전압제어회로를 사용함으로써 PSRR 특성향상과 함께 안정된 출력특성을 얻을 수 있었다. HSPICE 시뮬레이션 결과, 5V 가변입력할 때, DC출력특성은 3V∼3.12V까지 일정한 값을 유지함을 알 수 있었으며 PSRR특성은 -28@10HZ로 확인되었다.

A Study on Polymer Replica Materials for Nanotransfer Printing (패턴전사프린팅용 고분자 복제 소재 연구)

  • For the past several decades, various next-generation patterning methods have been developed to obtain well-designed nano-to-micro structures, such as imprint lithography, nanotransfer printing (nTP), directed self-assembly (DSA), E-beam lithography, and so on. Especially, nTP process has much attention due to its low processing cost, short processing time, and good compatibility with other patterning techniques in achieving the formation of high-resolution functional patterns. To transfer functional patterns onto desirable substrates, the use of soft materials is required for precise replication of master mold. Here, we introduce a simple and practical nTP method to create highly ordered structures using various polymeric replica materials. We found that polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polystyrene (PS), and polyvinylpyridine (PVP) are possible candidates for replica materials for reliable duplication of Si master mold based on systematic analysis of pattern visualization. Furthermore, we successfully obtained well-defined metal and oxide nanostructures with functionality on target substrates by using replica patterns, through deposition and transfer process. We expect that the several candidates of replica materials can be exploited for effective nanofabrication of complex electronic devices.
