슬래밍 충격하중을 고려한 선체 휘핑 해석 (Whipping analysis of hull girders considering slamming impact loads)

  • 본 연구에서는 대파고 파랑 중을 항해하는 선박의 슬래밍 충격에 대한 선체 전체의 동적 탄성응답 해석법을 개발하였다. 선체구조는 전단효과를 고려하는 박판보 유한요소이론을 활용하였으며, 선체 각 단면에 작용하는 유체력은 통상의 선형 운동체 이론에 덧붙여 물체 경계의 비선형성을 고려하여 추정하였다. 즉 매 순간 선체와 파 입자간의 접수 형상을 고려하는 비선형 유체력 추정법을 모멘텀 슬래밍 이론에 근거하여 정식화하였다. 개발된 해석법의 검증을 위해 V형 단면 선형과 S-175 선형 모델을 대상으로 수치해석을 수행하였다. 시간 영역에 있어 각 단면에서의 파면에 대한 상대 변위 성분과 속도 성분들을 계산하였으며, 선체 중앙 단면에서의 굽힘 모멘트 값의 시간이력을 검토하였다.

이단 평행봉 YEGA 동작의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematical Analysis of the YEGA Motion on the Uneven Parallel Bars)

  • This study was intended to assist athletes in having a technical understanding of the Yega motion and provide basic material for improving their competitive ability by analyzing the kinematic variable of the Yega motion during the competition of the uneven parallel bar of female gymnastics. For this purpose, the game of female gymnastics participating in the uneven parallel bar game was personally videotaped using the DLT(direct linear transformation) method. An attempt was made to make a comparative analysis of the Yega motion by dividing the final first to third places into the upper group('A' group) and the sixth to eighth places into the lower group('B' group). Based on the results of actual analysis on the scenes of actual game, the following conclusion was concluded: 1. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the shorter required time on the flight phase(P3) than counterparts in the 'B' group. 2. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the little width in the horizontal displacement of the center of gravity than counterparts in the 'B' group. But athletes in the 'A' group exhibited the somewhat greater relative vertical height of the center of the body. 3. Athletes in the 'A' group showed the greater resultant velocity at the lowest point of the center of the body(E2) and at the point in time of release(E3) compared to counterparts in the 'B' group.

하천흐름해석을 위한 상향가중의 3차원 유한요소모형 개발 (Development of Three-Dimensional Finite Element Model Using Upwind Weighting Scheme for River Flow)

  • Even though the relative importance of length scale of flow system allow us to simplify three dimensional flow problem to one or two dimensional representation, many systems still require three dimensional analysis. The objective of this study is to develop an efficient and accurate finite element model for analyzing and predicting three dimensional flow features in natural rivers and to offend to model spreading of pollutants and transport of sediments in the future. Firstly, three dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations with the hydrostatic pressure assumption in generalized curvilinear coordinates were combined with the kinematic free-surface condition. Secondly. to simulate realistic high Reynolds number flow, the model employed the Streamline Upwind/Petrov-Galerkin(SU/PG) scheme as a weighting function for the finite element method in conjunction with an appropriate turbulence model(Smagorinsky scheme for the horizontal plain and Mellor-Yamada scheme for the vertical direction). Several tests is performed for the purpose of validation and verification of the developed model. A simple rectangular channel, 5-shaped and U-shaped channel are used for tests and comparisons are made with RMA-10 model. Runs for each case is converged stably without a oscillation and calculated water-surface deformation, longitudinal and transversal velocities, and velocity vector fields are in good agreement with the results of RMA-10 model.

Numerical simulation of 3-D probabilistic trajectory of plate-type wind-borne debris

  • To address the uncertainty of the flight trajectories caused by the turbulence and gustiness of the wind field over the roof and in the wake of a building, a 3-D probabilistic trajectory model of flat-type wind-borne debris is developed in this study. The core of this methodology is a 6 degree-of-freedom deterministic model, derived from the governing equations of motion of the debris, and a Monte Carlo simulation engine used to account for the uncertainty resulting from vertical and lateral gust wind velocity components. The influence of several parameters, including initial wind speed, time step, gust sampling frequency, number of Monte Carlo simulations, and the extreme gust factor, on the accuracy of the proposed model is examined. For the purpose of validation and calibration, the simulated results from the 3-D probabilistic trajectory model are compared against the available wind tunnel test data. Results show that the maximum relative error between the simulated and wind tunnel test results of the average longitudinal position is about 20%, implying that the probabilistic model provides a reliable and effective means to predict the 3-D flight of the plate-type wind-borne debris.

Wind tunnel study of plume dispersion with varying source emission configurations

  • The concentration fields in the proximities of a local gas emission source are experimentally analyzed in several combinations of wind incidences and source emissions. These conditions are determined by the plume buoyancy, emission velocity and incident flow wind speed. Concentration measurements are performed by an aspirating probe in a boundary layer wind tunnel. The analysis included the mean concentration values and the intensity of concentration fluctuations in a neutral atmospheric boundary layer flow. Different configurations are tested: an isolated stack in a homogeneous terrain and a stack with a bluff body in close proximity, located windward and leeward from the emission source. The experimental mean concentration values are contrasted with Gaussian profiles and the dilution factor is analyzed with respect to the empirical curves of the minimum dilution. Finally, a study on the plume intermittency is performed in a cross-sectional plane near the emission source. It is possible to highlight the following observations: a) plume vertical asymmetry in the case of an isolated emission source, b) significant differences in the dispersion process related to the relative location of the emission source and bluff body effects, and c) different probabilistic behavior of the concentration fluctuation data in a cross-sectional measurement plane inside the plume.

양궁 백 텐션 국면에서 최우수 양궁선수의 동작특성 평가 (Evaluation on Motion Features of the World's Second Archer during Back-Tension in Archery)

  • It has been reported that Back-Tension played a significant role in archery (Lee & Bondit, 2005; Kim, 2007) but there are a few researches related Back-Tension in Korea recently. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate archery back tension technique for the second ranked archer in the World and to find ways to improve performance. A subject(height: 185cm, mass: 82kg, years: 21yrs, careers: 12yrs) who is a number of national team and the second ranked archer in the World authorized by FITA (Federation Internationale de Trial Arc) was perticipated in this experiment. When shooting 60 shots($12{\times}5$), shooting motions were recorded with 7 infrared cameras and 2 ultrahigh-speed cameras. A QTM and an Auto Track were used to acquire raw data. The sampling rates of both cameras were 200 Hz. and 1000 Hz. respectively and data were filtered using a fourth order Butterworth low pass filtering with a cutoff-frequency of 30Hz. The parameters were calculated with Matlab6.5 and analyzed with SPSS11.0. After Pearson's correlations between 8 parameters were analyzed, 5 parameters from 13parameters that affected records were analyzed with multiple regression analysis (Enter order: x1, x2, x3, x4, x5). The results were as follows: 1. Comparing between parameters according to scores, the patterns of horizontal and vertical angular velocity(av.) of scapular relative angle was different between 8 score and 9 or 10 scores. 2. The correlations of parameters that affected records were a horizontal av.(x1, p=.032<.05) and a vertical av.(x3, p=.033<.05) of scapular from release to delivery in KB back-tension (anchoring-delivery). 3. The decision coefficients(R2) of above two parameters and three parameters selected by experts that may affect record, that is, an absolute trunk angle(x4) from in KKC back-tension (anchoring-release) and a horizontal relative scapular angle(x2) and an absolute trunk angle(x5) from release to delivery in KB back-tension were 7.7%(x1), 0.1%(x2), 8.5%(x3), 0.7%(x4) and 0.9%(x5) in sequence. 4. The multiple regression equation was a y= -1.16E-2 x1 + 0.109 x2 + 3.437E-2 x3 + 6.139E-2 x4 + 0.117 x5 + 3.420 In conclusion, a total contribution was low, that is, R2(17.9%) suggested that on the one hand, Lim's motion may not depend on a certain factor because his postural factors affected shooting motion are some stable on the other hand, unknown factors may exist(e.g. psychological, physiological factors etc.). Further study of EMG patterns of muscles and anatomic consideration related to shoulder girdle and scapular bones may help to identify mechanism of Back-Tension.

2011년 5월 관측된 고농도 황사 사례 연구 (A Case Study of the Heavy Asian Dust Observed in May 2011)

  • 2011년 4월 29일부터 30일까지 몽골에서 발원한 황사의 영향으로 우리나라는 4일간 전국적으로 고농도의 황사가 관측되었다. 본 연구는 몽골의 황사발원지에서 황사 발생 시 기상 조건과 고농도 황사 사례의 원인 및 특성을 알아보기 위한 것으로, 황사 일기도 자료, 황사감시기상탑 자료, 위성 자료, 후방공기궤적 자료, 관측자료(PM10 및 광학입자 계수기 자료), ECMWF 재분석 자료를 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 종관 분석에서는 몽골 중부지역에 등압선의 간격이 조밀하게 분포하고 기압경도력이 강해지면서 강풍에 의해 황사가 발원하였다. 황사 발원과 기상 조건의 관계에서 황사 발원 직전에는 10℃ 이상으로 비교적 높은 기온을 나타내다 황사 발원과 동시에 급감하였으며, 상대습도는 약 40% 이하의 낮은 값을 지속적으로 나타내다 황사 발원 후에는 50% 이상으로 급격히 높아지며 황사의 발생이 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. COMS에서 관측된 황사지수는 황사발원지에서는 25 이상을 나타내면서 고농도의 황사가 탐지되었고, 실황에서 목측으로 관측된 지점과 일치하였다. 72시간 후방공기궤적에서는 모두 북서 기류가 한반도로 유입되었고, 5월 2일 흑산도에서는 PM10의 시간평균농도가 1,025 ㎍ m-3으로 최고 농도를 보였다. 특히 운동학적 연직 분석에서, 상층에서 발달한 기압골과 저기압성 소용돌이도에 의해 지상 저기압이 강화되고 동시에 상승 기류의 발달이 고농도의 황사 발생에 큰 역할을 한 것으로 판단된다.

강관말뚝의 수평거동에 대한 모형실험 연구(I) -대구지역 낙동강 모래에 대하여 (Model Tests on the Lateral Behavior of Steel Pipe Piles(I) in the Nak -dong River Sand)

  • 본 논문은 낙동강 유역의 사질토 지반에서 수평하중을 받는 강관 말둑의 수평거동을 모형실첨을 통해 관찰하였다. 븐 연구의 목적은 말뚝의 수평거동(하중-변위 잔계,지반내 말뚝의 모멘트 분포, 최대 모멘트-변위 관계 등)에 대한 말뚝의 강성, 말뚝의 근입길이, 지반의 상대밀도, 하중 재하속도, 말뚝두부의 구속조건, 그리고 지반내의 비균질토의 영향에 관하여 실험적인 연구를 수행하고 이러한 영향들을 정량화 할 수 있는 결과들을 얻고자 한다. 비선형적인 하중-변위 관계는 모형실험의 결과들로부터 2차 곡선방정식으로 회귀분석하여 구하였으며, 임의 수평 변위에 대한 수평하중, 항복하중, 극한하중 그리고 최대 휭모멘트와 항복쉽모멘트는 상대밀도를 포함하는 지수함수식의 형태로 회귀분석하여 구하였다. 수평 극한하중에 관한 Brom's의 이론 결과와 실험결과 비교에서, 짧은 말뚝과 긴 말뚝의 결과가 서로 반대로 나타난 것은 가정한 지반반력이 깊은 지점에서 낙동강 사질토의 지반반력보다 작아서 나타나는 것으로 판단된다. 균질충과 비균질토 지반의 수평거동 비교에서, 하부지반의 상 대밀도보다 상부지반의 상대 밀도가 하중-변위관계에 더 큰 영향을 끼치고 있으며, 하부와 상부 지반의 상대밀도 차가 클수록 그런현상은 뚜렷하게 나타났다.

전도공법에 의한 축소모형 철근콘크리트 구조물의 붕괴거동 (Collapse Behavior of Small-Scaled RC Structures Using Felling Method)

  • 발파해체 되는 철근콘크리트 구조물은 교대하중에 의해 정형구조에서 비정형구조로 변환되며 붕괴거동은 비선형적인 대변위 거동을 한다. 철근콘크리트 구조물의 붕괴거동에 대한 많은 수치 모델링 연구가 수행되었지만, 비선형적인 대변위 거동을 해석하기에는 아직 부족한 수준이다. 본 연구에서는 실제 철근콘크리트 구조물을 1/5로 축소한 축소모형 구조물을 제작하였다. 전도공법으로 1층, 3층, 5층 축소모형 구조물을 발파하여 상부 자중에 의한 구조물의 붕괴 가능성을 고찰하였으며, 구조물의 붕괴거동을 X 방향(수평방향)의 변위, Z 방향(수직방향)의 변위, 상대 변위각으로 분석하였다. 실험결과 자중에 의한 구조물의 붕괴를 유도하기 위한 상부 자중의 크기를 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 구조물의 붕괴에 따른 X 방향의 변위와 Z방향의 변위는 발파 후 67 ms, 300 ms부터 서서히 증가하였고, 교대하중에 의해 3층 구조물의 초기 붕괴 속도가 5층 구조물보다 크게 발생하는 것을 확인하였다.

랜덤 감쇠기법을 이용한 분할모형의 접수 감쇠계수 추정 (Wet Damping Estimation of the Segmented Hull Model using the Random Decrement Technique)

  • This paper presents the wet damping estimation of the segmented hull model using the random decrement technique together with the continuous wavelet transform. The tested 16 sea states are grouped together based on the speed of the ship in order to figure out the possible influence of the ship speed on the damping ratio. The measured time histories of vertical bending moment for each tested sea state were processed with random decrement technique to derive the free decay signal, from which the damping ratios are estimated. Also, the autocorrelation functions of the filtered signal were calculated and comparison was made with the free decay signal obtained from the random decrement technique. Then the wet damping ratios for each sea state group, as well as precise wet natural frequencies, are estimated by using continuous wavelet transform. It turned out that the wet natural frequencies derived from the measured signal did not show any significant discrepancy compared with those obtained by wet hammering test, whereas the damping ratio did. It was considered that the discrepancy of the damping ratio between in calm and moving water may be attributed to the viscous effects caused by dramatically different flow pattern and relative velocity between the vibrating structure and surrounding fluid particles.
