  • This study analyse the quantitative relationships between the compositive factors of the residential interior space in the view point of physical aspects. The proposed analytical methods are focused on finding the quantitative relationships between the human dimensions of the static and dynamic life style situations and the compositive factors of the architectural interior spaces. As a result, the major analystical methods are ; the analysis of Space-human Body System for finding the quantitative relationships between the human dimensions and the order of architectural structures ; the analysis of Space-Objects-Human Body System for finding the quantitiative relationships between the human dimensions and furniture dimensions of the interior space ; the analysis of Space-Objects - Life Activities of Human Body System for finding the quantitative relation ships between the human dimensions of daily or non daily life activities including static furniture systems.

  • In this study, the relationships between the interior space of the upper class residence of Korean late Chosun dynasty and human dimensions based on their life styles of that era are analized. As an object of the study, the interior space of Yunkyungdant in Changduk palace is selected. The major analytical frame works of this study are : the analysis of Space-Human Body System, the analysis of Space-Objects-Human Body System, and the analy-sis of Space-Objects-Human Body System, and the analy-sis of Space-Objects-Life Activities of Human Body System. As a result, it was verified that there are certain quantitative relationships between the interior space of the residence and the human dimensions of Koreans lived up to their life styles and activities of Chosun dynasty era, specialized as 'Confucian life style'.

  • This research is progressed on the premise that there is a basic rule to organize a space in form generation process. In this study first, antecedent researches are inquired, and formal vocabularies related with form generation in space design are founded. Generally in the organizing process of spatial form designer could have selectively combined formal vocabularies consciously or unconsciously, and these formal vocabularies related with form generation are classified with 'formal elements' and 'spatial relationships'. First, as formal elements '2-dimensional line elements(rectilinear, oblique-linear, curvilinear)' are chosen. Second, formal vocabularies of 'spatial relationships' are 37 extracted from literatures related with architectural language or spatial language. Among them there are several vocabularies with similar or same meaning, they are unitized to representative one. Thereupon 20 vocabularies are finally selected as the formal vocabularies of 'spatial relationships', they are addition, subtraction, intersection, superimposition, juxtaposition, shifting, rotation, reflection, scaling, stretching, shear, bending, folding, distortion, articulation, deconstruction, symmetry, repetition, proportion, and asymmetry.

  • Most of the previous game development has proceeded in the approaches of the temporal-oriented synchronization because of producing game objects by using general authoring tools, and ad hoc or trial and error methods has been devised for representation of spatial concept. This paper is a study on the unification notation for spatio-temporal synchronization to conquest this fault. First of all, we classify game space as temporal object, spatial object, absolute/relative spatio-temporal space. The spatio-temporal relationships are divided into temporal extent, temporal location, spatial extent, and spatial location. In the paper the temporal and spatial relationships of game scene are defined to represent the synchronization, and we propose new unification notation by temporal and spatial concept to represent two concepts putting emphasis on space. Their relationships are presented on 3D by creating time axis related with time in scene unit of the two dimensional plane in the pivot on space. The usability of this representation method are shown by applying examples of game scenario.

  • Relationships between the Ricci curvature and the squared mean curvature and between the shape operator associated with the mean curvature vector and the sectional curvature function for slant submanifolds of an S-space-form are proved, particularizing them to invariant and anti-invariant submanifolds tangent to the structure vector fields.

  • This paper considers chronologically the discourse of space as one of key concepts in geography, and then argues that geography education ought to be the critical pedagogy of space. Recent social science including geography and education has more empathized the sociality and spatiality of space than the physicality of space, and argues that space is constructed socially. Thus, it has been considered that space is no longer empty container to be filled with social relationships, but is concerned with the production and reproduction of social relationships through political struggles with diverse meanings. Now, geography education has to examine the different ways which space has been conceptualized, and develop geography education as critical pedagogy of space that focuses on reading the multiple and contested nature of space.

  • Three-dimensional modeling of cities in the real-world is an essential task for city planning and decision-making. And many three-dimensional city models are being developed with the development of wireless Internet and location-based services that identify the location of users and provide the information increases for consumers. Especially, in case of urban areas of Korea, indoor space modeling as well as outdoor is needed due to the high-rise buildings densities. Also location-based services should be provided through spatial analysis such as the shortest path based on a space model. Many studies of three-dimensional city models are feature models. In a feature model, space is represented by combining primitives, and relationships among spaces are represented only if shared primitives are detected. So relationships between complex three-dimensional objects in space is difficult to be defined through the feature models. In this study, Navigable space-relation model(NSRM) is developed, which is topological data model for efficient representation of spatial relationships between objects based on the network structure.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the direction and recognition for applying to component of Emotion of the elementary school space with characteristics of child development. For the accomplishment of the study is to deduce types of emotional component and characteristics of child development based on literature and advanced research related to 'Child development and behavior', 'The elementary school space', and concept of 'children' and 'emotion'. In addition, The level of recognition of teachers and students about creation plan of school space by types of emotion component and preference and relationships of students on emotion component of elementary school space is investigated. The space environment has great influence in childhood going through big changes in physical, cognitive, emotional and social ways, Providing space environment built with emotion component such as 'affordance', 'diversity', 'territoriality', and 'relationships' considering characteristics of child development is most important of all, In particular, when building indoor space in elementary schools where students going through various development stages live, providing friendly environments for emotion of children put top priority on students in the decision-making process and guaranteed the participation of students is expected.
