The purpose of this study, by surveying the status of firms, measurement-related investment and the defect rate, is to analyze the effect of measurement-related investment and to propose a scheme of efficient measurement-related investment which reduces the defect rate. For this project we obtain the data of the status of the measurement-related investment and the defect rate of 928 firms in Korean manufacturing industry by mailing survey. One of our results shows that the firms which have measurement standard laboratory, i.e, which invest in measurement-related area comparatively high, have the defect rate about 0.8% lower than those firms which don't have measurement standard laboratory. Also we find that the small-and-middle size firms have worse measurement-related facility than the large firms and the firms in the heavy-chemical industry have higher measurement-related investment effect than the firms in the light industry.

The current standard cost for recycling applied under the Extended Producer Responsibility(EPR) institution, is not coping with continuously increased number of obligatory subject items as well as a variety of variable cost changing factors regarding the recycling treatment cost caused by price fluctuation such as increased material and labor cost entirely across the society; changes in recycling treatment process following the developing technologies; and changes in the required work forces and equipments followed by the trends of automated facilities. Despite such various cost fluctuation factors, the current EPR is not coping with the trends, making the re-calculation process difficult, which causes differences between the real treatment cost for recycling. In this study, the analysis was made on main factors affecting on the related cost and the related price changing index was calculated, by conducting the influence evaluation on the standard cost factors of the current standard cost for recycling. Through theses results, more objective standard will be set for the re-calculation of standard cost for recycling to greatly contribute to setting up the midterm and long-term strategies in the future towards efficient institution.

Objectives: HRA (Health Risk Assessment) is an important tool for measuring the health impacts of air pollution. HRA is already being used widely as an important reference for crafting air pollution policies. However, the absence of a domestic CRF (Concentration Response Function) standard, which is a main component for HRA, could cause confusion amongst policy-makers. The purpose of this study is to tabulate a domestic CRF standard for a PM (Particulate Matter)-related HRA. Methods: This study suggested a domestic CRF standard for HRA thorough a literature review. The literature review for meta-analysis was limited to the English language for epidemiological studies published from January 1980 to March 2016. This meta-analysis was conducted by assuming both fixed- and random-effects of CRF. In addition, studies that reported HRA of air pollution for WHO (World Health Organization), the EC (European Commission), and the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) were reviewed to compare the CRFs of South Korea to the recommended CRFs of WHO, the EC, or the EPA. Additionally, a domestic CRF standard was supplemented by these. Results: Nineteen studies were selected for the CRF for South Korea. Fifty-three CRFs were derived for meta-analysis. CRFs with a standard for PM-related HRA were divided according to the following four criteria: air pollution, exposure characteristics, type of health impact, and age group. Finally, a domestic CRF standard was created comprised of 21 CRFs. Among these, six CRFs were derived from the results of foreign HRA studies. Conclusions: This study is important in that a domestic CRF standard is first suggested. In addition, this study suggests a further area of study for using HRA as a policy tool and a direction of epidemiological study.

Recently, landscape lighting is more and more installing in many places such as park, cultural heritages, large-scale structures, bridges, apartment, and so on. However, there is no the government-set official estimation for standard wages constructing luminaries for landscape lighting. The cost of construction is estimated based on the standard wages of related-similar installations such as internal lighting fixtures or the designer's subjective decision. Sometimes, it is overestimated or underestimated. In this paper, the fundamental process for estimating the standard wages constructing luminaries for landscape lighting is studied. The estimation method of standard wages constructing lighting fixtures was examined on the basis of the type and capacities of luminaries, installation places, type and shapes of installation auxiliary materials, worker's skill, and etc. As a result, some results obtained in this work were significantly, different with the standard wages for internal electric wiring published by Korea Electric Association. In the future, to improve the accuracy of the estimation of the standard wages for constructing luminaries for landscope lighting, detailed factors related to the installation condition and dimensions and types of luminaries should be considered.

This study is one of the research series for providing basic data that would contribute to the development of the field of fishing industry through the systematic fishing management, protection of fishery resources and healthy fishing culture with safety measures for fishermen in Jeju island according to the implementation of "Fishing Management and Support Act". As a result of analyzing the related acts, the contents of this study are related with provisions of "Fishing management and Support Act" on acts on fishing management, fish bait management, support for fishing and fishing related industries and with provisions of "Act of the preservation and management of desert island" on the preservation, use and development of desert island (use and development in a desert island, behavior in usable desert island). As a result of the survey, the rocks on the seashore showed the highest popularity with 52.6% for fishermen and the seawall was the highest with 47.1% for Maritime police as their fishing place in the fishing related activity data. And as the survey result about the awareness of "Fishing management and Support Act", 65.2% of general fishermen, 36.0% of maritime police and 70.5% of fishing related agencies answered that they knew the act. It was also surveyed whether they consider its contribution to fishing related industry development and positive result was shown by general fishermen and maritime police with 46.8%, 48.0% respectively whereas fishing-related enterprises showed negative answer with 47.7%. In the survey of fishing related regulation standard, general fishermen, maritime police and fishing related agencies all showed different opinions regarding the regulation standard. It is recommended that regulation standard needs to be set up after detailed review.

Purpose - This research is to review the state of standard labeling compliance and identify the factors that are conducive to compliance with the Labeling Standards of the Health Functional Foods Act in internet distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - We checked 9 labels including product name, expiration date, manufacturing date, raw material, ingredient, operative dose, nutritional information, daily intake, and functional effect which are based on Labeling Standards of the Act from 100 health functional foods in the internet shopping malls. These 9 structure & function claims were compared using a Chi-square test. Results - There was a statistically significant difference in the use of standard labeling between domestic product and imported products (p<.001). The related strength between these two variables showed a moderate effect size. Also, there was a statistically significant difference between accredited advertising/unaccredited advertising distinction and use of standard labeling (p<.001). The related strength between these two variables showed a moderate effect size. Conclusions - The Labeling Standards of the Act were not followed and found to be related to imports or unauthorized advertising in internet distribution. The information displayed according to the Labeling Standards was only about 2 on the average, so many labels have been posted unreadably without arrangement.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a practical way to measure and report corporate social performance as public interest in corporate social value pursuits increases. In particular, we will look for ways to measure and report on the financial and social performance of a company based on the concept of the Double Bottom Line (DBL), which has recently spread to big companies. For this purpose, this study analyzed the theoretical background and practical techniques related to measuring and reporting corporate social performance, and examined methods for measuring and reporting social performance in the existing financial performance measurement system. As a result, SROI was the most suitable method for measuring social performance of a company. It is recommended that social performance reporting follows the disclosure method of the accounting system, and the details of reporting suggest that using the standard of GRI Standard, an international standard related to sustainability reporting, is the most reasonable alternative to 'Double Bottom Line' performance reporting.

IEC 61800 is an international standard on adjustable speed electrical power drive systems, which consists of three parts. IEC 61800-1 and IEC 61800-2 apply to DC power drive systems and AC power drive systems, respectively, which include power conversion, control equipment, and also a motor or motors. IEC 61800-3 specifies EMC ( Electro Magnetic Compatibility ) requirements for adjustable speed AC or DC motor drives connected to main supplies up to AC 1,000 volts. This paper studies the standards related to EMC and the text summary of international standard IEC 61800-3 which is an EMC product standard including specific test methods.

The 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) mobile communication standard has emerged as a leading standard in the market over the past 20 years, driving continuous development in protocol stacks and libraries that support the standard within simulation software for communication network research. We summarize and analyze seven communication network simulators that support the 3GPP standard specifications related to core network technologies. Through comparisons, we aim to offer valuable insights for researchers and engineers engaged into research and development related to mobile communication networks based on 3GPP standards. Our findings can provide assistance for making informed decisions on simulator selection.
