In this study, we developed a method to assess quantitatively the amount and the economic value of water quality regulating service of ecosystem services. Numbers of species and aquatic organisms such as fish increased because of the improved water, but it was due to complex factors such as water quality regulation services of ecosystems, installation of environmental facilities for water quality treatment, and water quality regulation. Therefore we sought ways to quantitatively estimate the value of ecosystem regulation services. In this study, we propose a method to estimate the quantitative value of water quality regulation service of ecosystem by utilizing the total amount of water pollution. In addition, the economic value evaluation method was proposed by multiplying the estimated the quantitative value of water quality regulation service of ecosystem by the unit cost per unit capacity. Finally, the ecosystem water quality regulation service was estimated by using the evaluation method for BOD and T-P in Nakdong river watershed.

IEEE 802.16 Wireless MAN standard specifies the air interface of fixed point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access systems providing multiple service. Among the service classes supported by the wireless MAN, the BE class is ranked on the lowest position in priority and is usually deployed by multicast and broadcast polling MAC scheme. In provisioning such BE service, the delay performance is influenced by a number of components including restrictions on resource request per SS, the number of request opportunities in upward frame, scheduling requests at BS, and contention resolution method. As candidate components of MAC function for BE service, we propose single and multiple request schemes (for controling the number of requests per SS), exhaustive and limited request schemes (for regulating the amount of grant per request) and FCFS, H-SMF, pure SMF, SS-wise Round Robin, and pure Round Robin (for scheduling requests at BS). Then, we construct MAC schemes by combining the above components and evaluate the delay performance exhibited by each MAC scheme using a simulation method. From numerical results, we investigate the effect of MAC components on average delay and delay variation and observe the dissonance on collision reduction in a resource - limited environment.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of tuberculin test and associated various environmental factors on the quantity and quality of milk production of daily cows. The change of milk quantity followed to tuberculin test was investigated on 109 daily farms in south Gyeonggi, and the change of milk quality was also studied on 48 daily farms. The result of this study showed that the quantity and quality of milk production was decreased after tuberculin test (P<0.05). The amount of loss of the milk production due to tuberculin test was, however, only 0.92 L per cow. In terms of milk quality, the level of total protein was statistically significantly decreased. This study also showed that the milk quality was further decreased when the cows were restraint after veterinarians arrived compared to the case that cows were stayed restraint before the veterinarians visited the farm. In addition, milk quality and quantity were lowered worse when relative humidity of the location of tuberculin test was lower than 50% or higher than 70%, or when the milk production of a farm is higher than its quarter. This study showed that stress on daily cows and the farmers induces the decrease of milk yield and milk quality, and these losses can be minimized by regulating various environmental factors to the direction to maximize productivity.

Cooperative associations are established in order to enhance the rights and the interests of their members and serve the local communities, and actually do much for the local society. And among these, consumer cooperatives are spontaneously founded, particularly in the spirit of mutual help, in order to promote the common welfare of the members. Meanwhile, because the current medical law qualifys noncommercial corporation to open medical institution, consumer cooperative and noncommercial- corporation cooperative which are established under the Cooperative Act have the right to do. However, though cooperative association should be founded for common interests of the members who are weaker parties of society, it became rapidly to be abused as means of circumvention of law. Especially as National Health Insurance Corporation stepped up the investigation and the collection of unfair profits against the hospital owned by non-medical personnel who are unable to establish a medical institution, setting up medical institutions as a roundabout way to avoid the restricts dramatically increased in number. In this study, we are going to introduce the current dualised normative system regulating the establishment of a medical cooperative association, and find a way to improve the system and make up for the week points. And we will look though the present situation about medical cooperative association's opening, operating, and closing, and review the normative and systematic improving plans.

The objective of this study was to discuss child privacy issues at Web sites targeting children, Specifically, the study examined l)types of information required for join the membership, 2)whether privacy policies at Web sites for children abide by privacy guideline, and 3)specific examples of recommendable privacy policy and problematic privacy policy from Web sites, Total of 305 Web sites targeting children were used for content analysis, Selected Web sites included recommended sites by Korea Council of Children's Organizations and food business Web sites, The results showed that more than 70% of Web sites required private information when children join the membership. Most of these Web sites provided mailing service for children. Generally, Web sites showed problems in parents' approval procedures. Also, privacy policies at Web sites frequently omitted purpose specification principle and the security safeguard principle. Regulating online service provides and marketers targeting children would be necessary for protecting child privacy. Further, education program targeting parents and children could help them make right choices to protect children's online privacy.

The article is devoted to the formation of approaches to improving the system of administration of customs payments in modern conditions. It is established that important components of the administration of customs payments are customs expertise, customs value assessment, and control over the declaration of goods to ensure the completeness and timeliness of customs duties payments to the budget. It is found that the practice of customs administration shifts the emphasis of foreign trade regulation to the use of the principles of work implying the use of the latest technologies for the preliminary electronic exchange of information, remote customs clearance of goods without the physical presence of an official, and consistent application of risk management. It is established that an important place in the structure of the state authorities regulating the foreign economic activity is given to the customs service. Furthermore, the existing problems in the implementation of international trade operations necessitate the improvement of approaches to the customs regulation of export-import activities of enterprises.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious lung disease that occurs predominantly in men. Genistein is an important natural soybean-derived phytoestrogen that affects various biological functions, such as cell migration and fibrosis. However, the antifibrotic effects of genistein on pulmonary fibrosis are largely unknown. The antifibrotic effects of genistein were evaluated using in vitro and in vivo models of lung fibrosis. Proteomic data were analyzed using nano-LC-ESI-MS/MS. Genistein significantly reduced transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1-induced expression of collagen type I and α-smooth muscle actin (SMA) in MRC-5 cells and primary fibroblasts from patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). Genistein also reduced TGF-β1-induced expression of p-Smad2/3 and p-p38 MAPK in fibroblast models. Comprehensive protein analysis confirmed that genistein exerted an anti-fibrotic effect by regulating various molecular mechanisms, such as unfolded protein response, epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT), mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) signaling, cell death, and several metabolic pathways. Genistein was also found to decrease hydroxyproline levels in the lungs of BLM-treated mice. Genistein exerted an anti-fibrotic effect by preventing fibroblast activation, suggesting that genistein could be developed as a pharmacological agent for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.

In this paper, we consider the frequency sharing feasibility of Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) with Microwave Landing System (MLS) allocated in the C-band. On the basis of characteristics of MLS and FSS suggested by ITU and safety standards of MLS by ICAO, three interference scenarios are built and numerical simulations are carried out for investigating the frequency sharing between the two systems. From the simulation results, we calculate the separation distance between MLS and FSS ground antennas, required for frequency sharing by employing standard protection limits regulating the interference to noise ratio (I/N) of the receiver.

There is a growing controversy on whether and how to regulate real-time broadcasting services carried on smartphone. Some advocates strict regulation on them but the others minimal regulation. This study aims to suggest guiding rules for how to regulate broadcasting services in smartphone. For this, the study interviewed fourteen (14) executives of broadcasting companies, content providers, policy research center and regulatory body. The analysis indicates that linear channel service in smartphone is similar in form to traditional broadcasting but they should not be regulated at this moment. The supporting reasons are 1) regulating them is technically not effective, 2) they were already regulated in their primary service platforms, 3) they don't have a significant impact on a society. Consequently, the study suggests that the service providers are categorized as value added common carriers as defined in the Telecommunication Business Act.

The basic legislations regulating the private security in Korea are Private Security Business Act and Private Policeman Act. But this dualistic system of private security causes difficulties in unity and efficiency of private security operation and makes it complicated to supervise each personnel with effect. Besides despite similar service and duty, there is all the difference between private security guard and private policeman in regard of social position, pay, authority, and so on. Therefore it is suggested that the two Acts should be unified and the united private security act should be enacted. Legislating new private security act will lead to considering the detail legislative definition on qualification of personnels and business range.
