  • In this paper, simulated annealing technique was used to estimate the rock joint characteristics, RMR(rock mass rating) values, to overcome the defects of ordinary kriging. Ordinary kriging reduced the variance of data, so lost the characteristics of distribution. Simulated annealing technique could reflect the distribution feature and the spatial correlation of the original data. Through the comparisons between three times simulations, the uncertainty of the simulation could be quantified, and sufficient results were obtained.

  • In this paper, machine cell formation problem is discussed. To reflect precisely actual manufacturing situations such as routing sequences, production quantities, and machining (or operation) characteristics, a new network presentation (or the problem is proposed. It is formulated as a simple 0-1 quadratic programming model with linear constraints. Then, the model is converted into a 0-1 integer programming model using a variable transformation technique. Lastly, some computational results are presented.

  • Since countability is a grammatical notion, the distinction between count and mass nouns may not reflect countability in the real world. Based on this, Chierchia (1998a; 1998b) provides a typological study of plurality and genericity, which does not account for countability in Korean. Nemoto (2005) revises Chierchia's analysis to deal with count and mass nouns in Korean and Japanese. This study discusses problems with the previous analyses and proposes that the semantic feature of humanness is the main criterion for countability in Korean.

  • In this paper, contents related to problem solving in 7th elementary mathematics curriculum analyzed in five aspects: problem solving stages, problem solving strategies, problems, problem posing, and assessment on problem solving abilities. From the results and processes of analysis, following conclusions are obtained: First, it is difficult to say the contents related to problem solving in 7th elementary mathematics curriculum are prepared organically. Second, it is difficult to say that contents related to problem solving in 7th elementary mathematics curriculum reflect results of recent researches.

  • This is a study on perception errors of Korean stops in word initial position. This study will show how listeners perceive manipulated Korean stops through two experiments and I will analyze why they are confused. In addition, 1 will show those perception errors not only reflect the relationship between the place and manner of articulation but also ate deeply related to the length of aspiration.

  • In this study, we propose a system for setting a Destination on CNS(Car Navigation System) or PNS(Personal Navigation System). The present Navigation does set the destination by only static method like name search, address search and wire telegraph telephone number search. But, the kind of setting a static destination does not reflect the dynamic moving situation. So we suggest setting the destination of navigation using Identifier of moving terminal. And it includes privacy protection on personal position information

  • In order to characterize the migration of DNAPL in rock fractures, the dynamic macromodified invasion percolation (DMMIP) model, that is able to reflect the viscous force of groundwater in a fracture network, is suggested. DMMIP simulations are verified against the laboratory expenments, which shows a good qualitative and quantitative agreement.

  • This paper describes a neural-network-based methodology for providing a potential solution in the area of process fault diagnosis. The existing neural network for fault diagnosis learn fault node by using pairs of single-symptom-single-cause only. But in real plants, the effect of a fault propagates continuously from it's origin; different sensor values reflect this. In this paper, we suggest a new method which can handle the effect of symptom propagation. The proposed method can find the exact origin of the fault of which the symptom is propagated continuously with time.

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the experience and perception of sexual violence based on the right to women's body. For empirical analysis the data on 376 female students and 320 male students on two universities were collected. The major findings were as follows; Most of male students usually did sexual violence to women and lots of female students easily were invaded her right to body. The range of conception which the students perceived as sexual violence was wider than that of related laws Thus in order to secure sexual equity this study proposed that laws should reflect widely the right to women's body and that male students should be educated to respect it.
