  • Customer behavior pattern discovery is the fundament for conducting customer oriented services and the services management. But, the composition, need, interest and experience of customers may be continuously changing, thereof lead to the difficulty in refining a stable description of their consistent behavior pattern. This paper presented a new method for the behavior pattern discovery from a changing collection of customers. It was originally inspired from the swarm intelligence of ant colony. By the adaptive clustering, some typical behavior patterns which reflect the characteristics of related customer clusters can extracted dynamically and adaptively.

  • We attempt to make regional innovative capability indices for overall understanding of regional innovation. We'll analyze various indicators on it using fuzzy set theory and compare regional innovative capabilities of 16 regions in Korea. The fuzzy set theory can reflect more normally the uncertainty of the stakeholder's responses than other decision making analysis methods. The overall results suggest that experts on regional innovation rank GRDP most important and Daejeon is the most innovative region. Building up regional innovative capabilities should be made for more balanced national land development.

  • A metric is a measure of one factor of a company's performance. The metrics are used to monitor the overall performance of the company for achieving business objectives. Insufficient metrics cannot reflect company's conditions. Therefore, it is important to be equipped with 'good' metrics. This study introduces the concept of metric quality and proposes its dimensions. The study also presents application scenarios that show the role and usefulness of the metric quality.

  • When a modeling process is applied to an actual commodity market in the real world, interactions over closely related commodities through the marketing channel should also be formulated into the model to reflect the information that exists in the whole market system, otherwise unreliable estimates and test statistics may be produced by ignoring those effects. Single-equation type model in this case tends to yield inefficient estimates, and sometimes biased and inconsistent, which will mislead us. A system of equation method to examine the structure of the imported commodity market system is developed and its emtirical results are analyzed, then followed by some policy experiments and its implications.

  • The glucose transport across the mammalian plasma membranes is carried out by members of two distinct gene families, $Na^+$/glucose to transporter (SGLT) and glucose transporters (GLUTs). The energy requiring SGLT utilizes the sodium gradient to transport glucose and galactose against the concentration gradient. The energy independent transport (Facilitative transport) of glucose down the concentration gradient is mediated by the members of GLUTs. The facilitated transport of glucose is saturable, sterospecific and bidirectional across the membrane. To date, 6 kinds of isoforms of facilitative glucose transporters are found. These proteins are expressed in a tissue and cell specific manner, and shows distinct properties that reflect their specific functional roles.

  • Remodeling of agricultural facilities can be defined as follows; it is received newly social needs which calamity is reduced, its function is improved, ecosystem is maintained, water-friendly space is preserved. By those remodeling, environment water and tour water with role as a place of rest and leisure sports, and so forth can be ensured. Therefore, on this study, we would propose the approach of the repair and enhancement of agricultural facilities which can reflect those social demands.

  • Design factors such as design objects establishment, analysis, synthesis, production, test and evaluation should be educated in a systematic way. Also design ability to reflect practical restrictive conditions such as industrial standards, economic feasibility, environmental impact, aesthetics, safety and reliability, ethical impacts and social impacts should be cultivated. In this paper, we explain the meaning of these terms and propose a systematic engineering design education framework satisfying Korean engineering education accreditation criteria. We also present a simple implementation in information network engineering.

  • Although DC ground resistance is a good index of performance for a grounding system, it does not reflect the grounding performance during the transient states. Besides, impulse ground impedance, which is defined by a ratio of the peak value of transient ground potential rise to the peak value of impulse current, cannot be an absolute performance index due to its dependence on impulse current shape. In this paper, a grounding performance of needle-typed ground rod has been compared with simple ground rod using HIFREQ[1], which is an engineering electro-magnetic code based on MoM (Method of Moment).

  • In general, two types fuzziness of human judgements should be incorporated in multiobjective programming problems. One is the expert's ambigjous understanding of the nature of the parameters in the problem formulation process and the other is the fuzzy goals of the decision maker for each of the objective functions. In this paper, we present a new interactive fuzzy approach for obtaining the satisficing solution which efficiently reflect both types of fuzziness. An illustrative numerical example nonlinear programming problems with fuzzy parameters is demonstrated along with the corresponding computer outputs.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for elderly women's clothing design and to develop dress forms that can reflect the characteristics of their bodies. Three hundered twenty subjects, between the ages of 60 .approx. 85, were chosen and the data were collected from anthropometric data. Principal component analysis which is one of the basic methods in factor analysis was applied to the interpretation of anthropometric data. As a result of analysis, the data are able to be decided into appropriate group.
