In this paper, we present a QRS-complex detection algorithm to calculate an accurate heartbeat and clearly recognize irregular rhythm from ECG signals. The conventional Pan-Tompkins algorithm brings false QRS detection in the derivative when QRS and noise signals have similar instant variation. The proposed algorithm uses amplitude differences in 7 adjacent samples to detect QRS-complex which has the highest amplitude variation. The calculated amplitude is cubed to dominate QRS-complex and the moving average method is applied to diminish the noise signal's amplitude. Finally, a decision rule with a threshold value is applied to detect accurate QRS-complex. The calculated signals with Pan-Tompkins and proposed algorithms were compared by signal-to-noise ratio to evaluate the noise reduction degree. QRS-complex detection performance was confirmed by sensitivity and the positive predictive value(PPV). Normal ECG, muscle noise ECG, PVC, and atrial fibrillation signals were achieved which were measured from an ECG simulator. The signal-to-noise ratio difference between Pan-Tompkins and the proposed algorithm were 8.1, 8.5, 9.6, and 4.7, respectively. All ratio of the proposed algorithm is higher than the Pan-Tompkins values. It indicates that the proposed algorithm is more robust to noise than the Pan-Tompkins algorithm. The Pan-Tompkins algorithm and the proposed algorithm showed similar sensitivity and PPV at most waveforms. However, with a noisy atrial fibrillation signal, the PPV for QRS-complex has different values, 42% for the Pan-Tompkins algorithm and 100% for the proposed algorithm. It means that the proposed algorithm has superiority for QRS-complex detection in a noisy environment.

In this paper, the concerned existing blind equalizer convergence rate and residual inter-symbol interference using constellation reduced and cost function by separation the real part and an imaginary part, the dual structure CR-CMA(constellation Reduction CMA). The CMA methed compensates amplitude but does no compensate phase, On the other hand, The CMA method compensates both the amplitude and the phase but it has the convergence rate problem, and the MCMA method is a way to solve the phase problem of CMA method compensates both the amplitude and the phase after respectively calculating the real part and imaginary part components. Proposal a new method that the dual structure of CR-CMA, the cost function and error function and respectively calculating the real part and imaginary part components can advantages by improving the CMA and the MCMA algorithms so that the amplitude and phase retrieval and constellation reduce the residual ISI and faster convergence rate and performance is good SER (Symbol Error Ratio) was confirmed by computer simulations.

Typical power electronic converters employ only pulse width modulation (PWM) to generate specific switching patterns. In this paper, a novel control strategy combining both pulse-width and amplitude modulation strategies (PWAM) has been proposed for power converters. The Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM), used in communication systems, has been applied to power electronic converters. This increases the degrees of freedom in eliminating or mitigating harmonics when compared to the conventional PWM strategies. The role of PAM in the novel PWAM strategy is based on the control of the converter's dc sources values. Software implementation of the conventional PWM and the PWAM control strategies has been applied to a five-level inverter for mitigating selective harmonics. Results show the superiority of the proposed strategy from the THD point of view along with a reduction in the inverter power dissipation.
The amplitude and phase lag of surface deformation were determined for a compliant coating under the action of turbulent pressure fluctuations. For this purpose, pressure fluctuations were measured experimentally. The amplitude and duration of coherent wave train of pressure fluctuations were investigated using digital filtration. The transient response was calculated for stabilization of forced oscillations of the coating in approximation of local deformation. The response of coating was analyzed with considerations of its inertial properties and limited duration of coherent harmonics action of pressure fluctuations. It is shown that a compliant coating interacts not with the whole spectrum of pressure fluctuations, but only with a frequency range near the first resonance. According to the analysis, with increasing elasticity modulus of the coating material E, deformation amplitude decreases as 1/E, and dimensionless velocity of the coating surface decreases as $1/\sqrt{E}$. For sufficiently hard coatings, deformation amplitude becomes smaller than the thickness of viscous sublayer, while surface velocity remains comparable to vertical velocity fluctuations of the flow.
In this paper, an accurate characterization of a fabricated X-band transmit/receive module is described with the process of generating control data to correct amplitude and phase deviations in an active electronically scanned array antenna unit. In the characterization, quantization errors (from both a digitally controlled attenuator and a phase shifter) are considered using not theoretical values (due to discrete sets of amplitude and phase states) but measured values (of which implementation errors are a part). By using the presented procedure for the characterization, each initial control bit of both the attenuator and the phase shifter is closest to the required value for each array element position. In addition, each compensated control bit for the parasitic cross effect between amplitude and phase control is decided using the same procedure. Reduction of the peak sidelobe level of an array antenna is presented as an example to validate the proposed procedure.
Experimental studies using tuned liquid damper(TLD) and multiple tuned liquid damper(MTLD), which are passive control devices consisting of a rigid tank filed with liquid, are used to suppress vibration of structures. This TLD and MTLD are attributable to several potential advantage -low costs, easy; easy to install in existing structures: effective even for small amplitude vibrations. For this, we conducted shaking table experiments for two natural frequencies (0.44Hz, 0.55Hz) according to the excitation amplitude(1mm, 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, 20mm) So, the majority of studies suggested optimized natural frequence and excitation amplitude for control devices.(TLD and MTLD type : circle, rectangular) As the analysis result, we verified vibration reduction effects of a MTLD by analyzing the performance experiment of TLD and MTLD
Applying the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction, we consider spectral stability of small amplitude stationary periodic solutions bifurcating from an equilibrium of the generalized Swift-Hohenberg equation. We follow the mathematical framework developed in [15, 16, 19, 23] to construct such periodic solutions and to determine regions in the parameter space for which they are stable by investigating the movement of the spectrum near zero as parameters vary.

The interlayers, either softer or stiffer than the surrounding layers, are usually overlooked during field investigation due to the small thickness. They may be neglected through the analysis process for simplicity. However, they may significantly affect the dynamic behavior of the soil-foundation system. In this study, a series of 3D finite-element Direct-solution steady-state harmonic analyses were carried out using ABAQUS/CAE software to investigate the impacts of interlayers on the dynamic response of a cast in place pile group subjected to horizontal harmonic load. The experimental data of a 3×2 pile group testing was used to verify the numerical modeling. The effects of thickness, depth, and shear modulus of the interlayers on the dynamic response of the pile group are investigated. The simulations were conducted on both stiff and soft soils. It was found that the soft interlayers affect the frequency-amplitude curve of the system only in frequencies higher than 70% of the resonant frequency of the base soil. While, the effect of stiff interlayer in soft base soil started at frequency of 35% of the resonant frequency of the base soil. Also, it was observed that a shallow stiff interlayer increased the resonant amplitude by 11%, while a deep one only increased the resonant frequency by 7%. Moreover, a shallow soft interlayer increased the resonant frequency by 20% in soft base soils, whereas, it had an effect as low as 6% on resonant amplitude. Also, the results showed that deep soft interlayers increased the resonant amplitude by 17 to 20% in both soft and stiff base soils due to a reduction in lateral support of the piles. In the cases of deep thick, soft interlayers, the resonant frequency reduced significantly, i.e., 16 to 20%. It was found that the stiff interlayers were most effective on the amplitude and frequency of the pile group.

Stay cable has a strong axial rigidity due to large initial tension and, on the other hand, it has a weak laterally flexural rigidity. Wind loads or traffic loads cause the cables to vibrate significantly and affect the mechanical properties and the performance of cables of cable-stayed bridge (CSB). Therefore, the development of vibration reduction design is an urgent task to control the vibration vulnerable long-span bridges. As Friction damper (FD) shows to reduce the amplitude and duration time of vibration of cable of CSB from measured date in field test, friction damper can be considered that it is effective device significantly to reduce the amplitude and duration time in vibration of cable of CSB under traffic load, wind load and so on. Vibration characteristics of cable can change according to manufacturing method and type of established form. Nevertheless, analysis method in this study can present the design of friction damper for vibration reduction of cable of cable-stayed bridge from now on.
The active noise cancellation system offers a better low frequency performance with a smaller and lighter system compared to a passive one. This paper presents an active noise control system capable of reducing the noise in a helmet after attenuating the external noise using the helmet as the passive noise reduction system, which consists of a controller for inverting and compensating the phase delay, a microphone for picking up the external noise, and a loudspeaker for radiating the acoustic anti-phase signal to reduce the external noise. In this paper, external noise can be reduced by noise controller by compensating the phase difference to be 180°in the frequency of maximun value in the amplitude response. The noise of the phase delay covered from 50°to 310°was reduced in this system and it is possible to obtain a noise reduction of up to approximately 20 dB at the ears in the enclosure.
