목재의 연소 특성(2)(연소형태와 연소특성) (Combustion Characteristics of Wood Chips(Flame Shape of Combustion and Ignition Delay))

  • Combustion Characteristics of the wood chips(balsa chips) were experimental studied as fundamental investigation of the thermal recycle system of the urban dust. The urban dust contains plastics vegetable and lot of wood material. Then, a wood was chosen as an example of the component of urban dust. A small wood chip was burned in a electric furnace and mass reduction rate during volatile and combustion states were recorded by the micro-electric balance and the combustion flame shape took a photograph by video camera at the mass of wood chips and ambient temperature in the furance. Ignition delay took the minimum value when the mass of the test chip was 0.3g. When a mass of the test chip was smaller then 0.001g, combustion with flame did not burnt.

  • Although extruded aluminium bumper beam has been commonly used in advanced car makers, there are not so much precedent for it's localization. For the localization of aluminum bumper beam of 7XXX series, benchmarking, material modifications of 7XXX series aluminum alloy, section design of beam, impact analysis had been performed in this study. High fuel efficiency and weight reduction could be achieved by using aluminum bumper beam of which the weight is lighter than that of steel. Moreover, it is expected to reach higher recycling rate by substituting aluminum for steel.

  • In this paper the stress-strain curves of bearing steels at hot working conditions are obtained by compression test with a computer controlled servo-hydraulic Gleeble 3800 testing machine and elongations and reductions of area of the bearing steels are obtained by tensile test with a computer controlled servo-hydraulic Gleeble 1500 testing machine. These tests have been focused to obtain the flow stress data and optimal hot forging conditions under various conditions of strain rates and temperatures. The strain rate sensitivity exponent and reduction of area of the materials are evaluated. Experimental results are resented for various conditions of temperatures and strain rates.

취급자재의 무게와 성별이 균형 능력에 미치는 영향 (An Effect of Load and Genders on Postural Stability)

  • The purposes of this paper are to investigate an effect of weight of material and gender on postural stability and to introduce formulas for those. There were five levels of weights 0, 9, 18, 27 and 36 kg, and two levels of genders were conducted. Eight male and five female subjects participated in this experiment, ten tests were performed for each level of weights to measure the postural stability by using the stability platform. The effect of the genders and the load on the postural stability were statistically analysed by the two way ANOVA test and the regression analysis. The ANOVA test showed that the effect of weights was statistically significant on postural stability to the both male and female subjects. And the postural stability of female subjects was better than that of male subjects. A linear regression formula for the balancing time and the load and a formula for the reduction rate postural stability and the relative load were introduced by the regression analysis.

엔진 냉각 시스템 개선에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Engine Cooling System Improvement)

  • This paper describes the improvement of engine cooling system. To improve engine cooling performance, the authors approached in two ways. One is to increase water pump performance, changing of impeller shape and lightening of material were carried out. The second one is cooling efficiency rise, which were investigated with head gasket coolant flow passage optimization with flow visualization technique. The test results show that water pump performance was increased effectively, reduction of pump drive torque, and increase of pump flow-rate and pressure rise. Gasket hole pattern optimization test results represent an optimized head coolant flow which stands cross flow from exhaust to intake port side and small vortex were removed.

Numerical study on the impact response of SC walls under elevated temperatures

  • A thermal-mechanical coupling finite element model of the steel-plate concrete composite (SC) wall is established, taking into account the strain rate effect and variation in mechanical and thermal properties under different temperatures. Verifications of the model against previous fire test and impact test results are carried out. The impact response of the SC wall under elevated temperatures is further investigated. The influences of the fire exposure time on the impact force and displacement histories are discussed. The results show that as the fire exposure time increases, the deflection increases and the impact resistance decreases. A formula is proposed to calculate the reduction of the allowable impact energy considering the fire exposure time.

SNCR의 N Ox 제거효율 향상을 위한 Hybrid SNCR/SCR 공정 응용 (Application of Hybrid SNCR/SCR process for Improved N Ox Removals Efficiency of SNCR)

  • The objective of this research was to test whether, under controlled laboratory conditions, hybrid SNCR/SCR process improves N $O_{x}$ removal efficiency in comparison with the SNCR only. The hybrid process is a combination of a redesigned existing SNCR with a new downstream SCR. N $O_{x}$ reduction experiments using a hybrid SNCR/SCR process have been conducted in simple NO/N $H_3$/ $O_2$ gas mixtures. Total gas flow rate was kept constant 4 liter/min throughout the SNCR and SCR reactors, where initial N $O_{x}$ concentration was 500 ppm in the presence of 5% or 15% $O_2$. Commercial catalysts, $V_2$ $O_{5}$ -W $O_3$-S $O_4$/Ti $O_2$, were used for SCR N $O_{x}$ reduction. The residence time and space velocity were around 1.67 seconds and 2,400 $h^{-1}$ or 6000 $h^{-1}$ in SNCR and SCR reactors, respectively. N $O_{x}$ reduction of the hybrid system was always higher than could be achieved by SNCR alone at a given value of N $H_{3SLIP}$. Optimization of the hybrid system performance requires maximizing N $O_{x}$ removal in the SNCR process. An analysis based on the hybrid system performance in this lab-scale work indicates that a equipment with N $O_{xi}$ =500 ppm will achieve a total N $O_{x}$ removal of about 90 percent with N $H_{3SLIP}$ $\leq$ 5 ppm only if the SNCR N $O_{x}$ reduction is at least 60 percent. A hybrid SNCR/SCR process has shown about 26∼37% more N $O_{x}$ reduction than a SNCR unit process in which a lower temperature of 85$0^{\circ}C$ turned out to be more effective.be more effective.

무기질계 가소성 TBM 뒤채움재 개발 및 성능 (Development and performance of inorganic thixotropic backfill for shield TBM tail voids)

  • 본 논문에서는 가소성 특성을 지니는 TBM 뒤채움재의 개발과 성능을 연구하기 위하여 실험한 내용을 다루고 있다. 쉴드 TBM 굴진 시 배면을 충전하는 방법으로 현재 LW 뒤채움재를 사용해오고 있는데, LW 뒤채움재는 강도 저하로 인한 침하발생, 지하수에 의한 재료분리, 가소성 저하와 같은 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 개발한 무기질계 가소성 뒤채움재의 성능을 분석하기 위해 실내시험과 모형실험을 수행하였다. 실내시험 결과, 무기질계 가소성 뒤채움재는 LW 뒤채움재 대비 재령 1시간의 일축압축강도가 12배 이상 높게 나타났고 블리딩률은 8.3배 이상 낮게 측정되었으며 플로우 값은 27배 이상 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 미루어볼 때 무기질계 가소성 뒤채움재가 강도 저하, 재료분리, 주입성면에서 LW보다 성능이 우수한 것으로 판단된다. 또한 충전 성능을 분석하기 위해 모형 주입장치 시험기를 제작하였고, 수중에서 재료분리 발생여부를 육안으로 확인하였으며, LW 뒤채움재보다 ITB의 충전율이 20% 이상 높게 나타났다. 이는 무기질계 가소성 뒤채움재가 지하수에 의한 재료분리를 방지하며, 터널의 공동 발생을 억제시킬 것으로 판단된다.

자동변속기용 가변 용량 베인 펌프의 파워 절감 효과 평가에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research on the Power Saving Effect Evaluation of a Variable Displacement Vane Pump for an Automatic Transmission)

  • A variable displacement vane pump is possible to improve the fuel economy by varying the pump capacity with a vane mechanism according to the engine operating speed range and reducing its driving torque. In general the experimental evaluation of the vane pump for the transmission has been performed mainly not with the vehicle or dynamometer test rig but with component test rig due to the implementation and safety problems. In this paper, in order to evaluate the performance of the developed vane pump as well as the compatibility with other rotary and hydraulic components of the target transmission, the transmission dynamometer based test rig is implemented where the developed pump is built into it and then the variable pump capacity and effect of power reduction are investigated experimentally.

산화/환원 소성분위기에서 석회석 및 시멘트 원료물질의 소성거동 특성 (Calcination Properties of Cement Raw Meal and Limestone with Oxidation/Reduction Condition)

  • 시멘트 산업의 질소산화물 배출량 감축을 위해 소성로에 다단연소공정을 적용할 경우, 질소산화물을 질소로 환원시키고 미연소 물질을 완전히 연소시켜 연소효율을 증대할 수 있는 산화/환원 구간이 필수적이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 시멘트 소성로 calciner에 산화/환원 구간 설정 시 최종 생산품인 시멘트 클링커의 품질안정성을 확보할 수 있는 최적 산화/환원 소성분위기를 거시적으로 관찰하고자 하였으며, 소성조건에 따른 원료물질의 질량변화, 탈탄산률, 소성완료율 등을 조사하였다. 실험결과, 대체로 환원분위기보다 산화분위기에서 원료물질의 열분해가 촉진되는 경향을 나타내며, 원료물질 자체 성분특성에 따라 비교적 CaO 함량이 높은 석회석의 열분해가 시멘트 조합원료보다 늦게 진행되는 것을 알 수 있었는데 이는 소성로 내 CO2 분압에 의한 현상으로 생각된다. 산화/환원 소성분위기에 따른 원료물질의 열분해 특성은 일반적인 석회석 열분해 온도보다 낮은 온도범위에서 비교적 큰 차이를 보였는데, 소성온도 750℃ 구간에 산화분위기 형성에 따라 원료물질의 열효율 향상을 기대할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 다만, 본 연구의 경우 실험실 규모의 연구로서 현장공정과는 차이가 있기 때문에, pilot plant 규모의 실검증결과가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
