The purpose of this paper is to propose a new localized imaging method of reduced imaging time luting a locally-linear gradient. Since most fast MR(Magnetic Resonance) imaging methods need the whole $\kappa$-space(Spatial frequency space) data corresponding to the whole imaging area, there are limitstions in reducing the minimum imaging time. The imaging method proposed in this paper uses a specially-made gradient coil generating a local ramp-shape field and uniform field outside of the imaging areal Conventional imaging sequences can be used without any RF/gradient pulse sequence modifiestions except the change in the number of encoding steps and the field of view.
We research properties of ternary numbers and hyperholomorphic functions with values in $\mathbb{C}$(2). We represent reduced quaternion numbers and obtain some propertries in dual reduced quaternion systems in view of Clifford analysis. Moreover, we obtain Cauchy theorems with respect to dual reduced quaternions.
We designed a novel ultra-miniaturized microcolumn structure having an stigmator to significantly improve throughput per unit time, which is the biggest disadvantage of microcolumns. We adopted the structure of the stigmator in the form of an electrostatic octupole electrode, and used an electrostatic quadrupole deflector with a relatively simple structure considering the increase in wiring due to the introduction of the stigmator. We have dramatically reduced the effect of astigmatism that occurs when the electron beam probe is scanned to the periphery of the target by introducing the stigmator between the control electrode and the deflector. As our numerical analysis simulation results, the field of view obtained as a result of this study is about 46.3% improved compared to our previous study, and the electron beam probe size of less than 10 nm was achieved in the entire field of view.

We have developed an ultra wide-field of view Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT) which has capability to 2D and 3D views of cross-sectional structure of in vivo human retina. Conventional OCT has a limitation in visualizing the entire retina due to a reduced field of view. We designed an optical setup to significantly improve the lateral scanning range to be more than 20 mm. The entire human retinal structure in 2D and 3D was reported in this paper with the developed OCT system. Also, we empirically searched an optimized image size for real time visualization by analyzing variation of the frame rate with different lateral scan points. The size was concluded to be $1024{\times}2000{\times}300$ pixels which took 9 seconds for visualization.
Simulator sickness is one of the important side effect of virtual reality. Simulator sickness is influenced by various factors, and field of view (FOV) is one of them. The FOV is a viewing angle limited by the screen, and when the FOV is reduced, the simulator sickness is reduced, and the presence is lowered. Previous study developed a Dynamic FOV Restrictor (Center-fixed FOV Restrictor) to reduce simulator sickness while maintaining presence. It is a method that limits the FOV dynamically by reflecting the speed and angular velocity of the avatar. We also developed Eye-tracking Based Dynamic FOV Restrictor (Eye-tracking FOV Restrictor) by adding head rotations and eye movements. This study attempts to compare the simulator sickness and the presence of the No FOV Restrictor condition, the Center-fixed FOV Restrictor condition, and the Eye-tracking FOV Restrictor condition. The results showed that the simulator sickness of the Center-fixed FOV Restrictor condition is significantly lower than other two conditions. The results also showed that there were no significant differences in presence in three conditions. The interpretations and limitations of this study are discussed in this paper.
The emergence of Cone Beam Computed Tomography(CBCT) in the late 1990s represented an innovative advancement in the field of dental and maxillofacial radiology because it greatly reduced the radiation exposure to patients and offered 3D images easily. The 3D information generated by this technique brings the potential of improved diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide range of clinical applications in dentistry. The use of CBCT includes diagnosis and surgical assessment of the orofacial hard tissue lesions, dental implant treatment planning and postoperative evaluation, TMJ assessment, diagnosis of craniofacial fracture, orthodontics, endodontics, and so on. All CBCT examinations should be justified on an individualized needs. The clinical benefits to the patient for each CBCT scan must outweigh the potential risks associated with exposure to ionizing radiation. CBCT scans should be taken with initially obtained medical and dental histories of patients and a close clinical examination. CBCT should be considered as an imaging alternative of other conventional radiography in cases where the anatomical structures of interest may not be seen. The smallest possible field of view(FOV) and the lowest setting of tube current and scan time should be chosen, and the entire images scanned should be interpreted by a qualified expert.

Early detection of cancer biomarkers in the blood is of vital importance for reducing the mortality and morbidity in a number of cancers. From this point of view, immunosensors based on nanowire (NW) and carbon nanotube (CNT) field-effect transistors (FETs) that allow the ultra-sensitive, highly specific, and label-free electrical detection of biomarkers received much attention. Nevertheless 1D nano-FET biosensors showed high performance, several challenges remain to be resolved for the uncomplicated, reproducible, low-cost and high-throughput nanofabrication. Recently, two-dimensional (2D) graphene and reduced GO (RGO) nanosheets or films find widespread applications such as clean energy storage and conversion devices, optical detector, field-effect transistors, electromechanical resonators, and chemical & biological sensors. In particular, the graphene- and RGO-FETs devices are very promising for sensing applications because of advantages including large detection area, low noise level in solution, ease of fabrication, and the high sensitivity to ions and biomolecules comparable to 1D nano-FETs. Even though a limited number of biosensor applications including chemical vapor deposition (CVD) grown graphene film for DNA detection, single-layer graphene for protein detection and single-layer graphene or solution-processed RGO film for cell monitoring have been reported, development of facile fabrication methods and full understanding of sensing mechanism are still lacking. Furthermore, there have been no reports on demonstration of ultrasensitive electrical detection of a cancer biomarker using the graphene- or RGO-FET. Here we describe scalable and facile fabrication of reduced graphene oxide FET (RGO-FET) with the capability of label-free, ultrasensitive electrical detection of a cancer biomarker, prostate specific antigen/${\alpha}$ 1-antichymotrypsin (PSA-ACT) complex, in which the ultrathin RGO channel was formed by a uniform self-assembly of two-dimensional RGO nanosheets, and also we will discuss about the immunosensing mechanism.

In this paper, we analyze the reconstruction error in the modeling of flow field on BFS(Backward Facing Step). In order for the mathematical modelling of a density on the field, the spatial and temporal modes are extracted by POD(Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) method. After formulating the modeling error, we summarize the relationship between the energy strength and the reconstruction errors. Moreover the allowable modeling error limits in the flow control point of view are confined by analysing in the frequency domain as well as time domain of the reconstructed data.

A lot of hardwares are allocated on the satellite to perform the attitude control. Sun sensor is very important hardware to acquire the initial attitude after separation from launcher and to maintain the safety attitude from the satellite anomaly operation. So the allocation of the sun sensor to acquire the field of view and the attitude control design using it, are critical work in the beginning of development. Number of Sun sensor for GEO-KOMPSAT2 is reduced with respect to COMS due to star tracker usage. The additional sun sensor using COMS heritage is considered. In this paper, it is described the analysis and the results on the method for the safety improvement which is to enlarge the field of view and to consider the harness connection of P/R-side of the sun sensor.

The subsurface stress field beneath the roller's contacting surface due to the contact pressure in lubricating condition has been calculated. Main purpose of this study in view of engineering is to prove the validity of the numerical profile roller presented by Koo et al. The Love's rectangular patch solution was used to obtain the subsurface stress field. The stress field of the numerical profile roller was compared with the one of the existing dub-off profile roller The analysis results show reduced subsurface stresses for the numerical profile roller.
