Recently, it has been reported that recycling of wasted glasses should be a hot issue in related business field. Thus, the purpose of this experimental research is to recycle wasted glasses by substituting for the cement in mortar and concrete. As a pilot test, workability and the strength of mortar with recycled glass have been tested and analyzed according to replacement ratio of recycled glass with grain size of them. As a result, considering the workability and the strength of mortar containing recycled glass, the existence of the optimum replacement ratio and grain size of them have been obtained.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the utilization of recycled fine aggregates as a material to apply to a building finished walls or as a decorating material in combination with a polymer. The strengths of two resin mortars using recycled fine aggregates and natural fine aggregates was made. In order to improve the workability and the strength of the resin mortar with recycled fine aggregates, partial replacement of recycled fine aggregates with natural ones was made with the application of various type of fillers. The results, it show that the compressive strength and flexural strength of resin mortar using the recycled fine aggregates were about 70% to 100% of those of resin mortar using natural fine aggregates. It was enough to assure the utilization of the recycled fine aggregates as a material for the production of resin mortar. From the result of partial replacement of recycled fine aggregates with natural ones, the compressive strength was Increased from 5% to 15% and the flexural strength was much as 5% to 20% as a result of 70% substitution It was also found that the use of garnet powder shows a similar tendency in the compressive strength and slag powder does in the flexural strength and tensile strength.
This study aims to obtain technical data for improvement of utilization of Blast Furnace Slag(BFS), recycled aggregate in the future by complementing fundamental problems of BFS such as manifestation of initial strength and excessive alkali quantity as well as weakness of recycled fine aggregate through manufacturing of recycled fine aggregate mortar using BFS. Since hydroxide ion concentration of calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) ion erupted from recycled fine aggregate newly produced is over 12. In recycled fine aggregate mortar transposing and using BFS powder, calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) erupted from recycled fine aggregate played a role of stimulus from the day 3 and manifestation of compressive strength was slowly increased with mortar using natural fine aggregate and showed considerable increase from the day 7.
This study investigates the effect of partial replacement with cement on the properties of blast furnace slag-based mortar. Recycled fine aggregate with various contents was used to activate the hydration of blast furnace slag in the mortar and compared its effect on strength development. Results showed that increasing cement and recycled fine aggregate increased the strength of mortar specimens. However, this study found that the mortar made with partial replacement of river sand with recycled fine aggregate of 20% developed a similar strength to the strength that cement with 10% can achieved.
Mechanical properties and durability of recycled aggregate concrete was known to decrease due to the adhesive mortar of recycled aggregate. But in this study, As the result of chloride diffusion resistance of recycled fine aggregate mortar, the mechanical properties are reduced according to the increase of the substitute ratio of recycled fine aggregate. But the chloride diffusion coefficient was almost same with natural fine aggregate mortar.

ThThe purpose of this study is to investigate the compressive strength properties of fly ash using water eluted from recycled coarse aggregate. When fly ash come into contact with water, they have not a autonomously chemical reaction. But fly ash is a pozzolan reaction when fly ash come into contact with water and calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) in alkaline environment. For that reason, if water eluted from recycled coarse aggregate use mixture water, fly ash is expected to reaction of pozzolan reaction property in early stage. According to the experimentation result, ICP-MS analysis showed water eluted from recycled coarse aggregate has a high alkali-ash value of pH of 12 and over. And mixing ratio 30% fly ash mortar using water eluted from recycled coarse aggregate showed a similar strength of plain mortar due to the pozzolan reaction. Also, poor strength in initial age, disadvantage of mortar using fly ash, can be improved as hydration in early age is expedited due to calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and unhydrated cement component eluted from recycled aggregate mortar.
Recycled aggregate by the recycling construction waste has a lot of advantage such as the developing the alternative resource and protecting of environment. However, recycled aggregate is used as the low quality grade, because the technic to remove old mortar from aggregate is low level. To use the recycled aggregate as high quality grade, it is important to develop the technic to produce the high quality recycled aggregate. To manufacture the high quality recycled aggregate, old mortar attached on the aggregates should remove efficiently. Therefore, in this study, we suggested the optimum condition to remove old mortar effectively using sulfuric acid and low speed wet rotary mill for high quality recycled fine aggregate. The results shows that the recycled aggregate satisfy on the standards of KS F 2573 in density, absorption and solid volume when, adequate condition of sulfuric mole ratio and aggregate ratio are make.
Recently, the broken concrete lumps resulting from the demolition of concrete structures are creshed for reuse as aggregates(i.e. recycled fine and gravel). And also, in the processing of crusing, the recycled powder of an equivalent of between 20% to 30% by wt.% of the broken concrete lumps is generated. The extensive research of recycled concrete aggregates has been carried out in various parts of the world. But less reseatch on the reuse of recycled concrete powder has been carried out. It is the purpose of this report that the study on the quality evaluation of recycled aggregates for recycled concrete. In specially, this report deals with the properties such as flow, compressive strength, bending strength, drying shrinkage and wight loss rate of mortars replaced standard fine aggregate with recycled powders at the rate of 3, 7, 15, 20 and 30 wt.%. Since the characteristics of recycled mortars with the recycled powders were comparable to those of the normal mortar without the recycled powders as described above, its concretes could be found extensive application in such field as concrete products.
This study investigates the fundamental properties of bast furnace-based mortar made with recycled fine aggregate. Results showed that increasing recycled fine aggregate accelerated setting time, proportionally increased the compressive and flexural strength of mortar specimens. However, it is concluded that for quality and cost effectiveness, the optimum content of this recycled fine aggregate in mortar was found to be 80%.
