고속 수중 이동체의 심도 정보 전송을 위한 신호 동기화 기법 (Signal synchronization method for depth information transmission of high-speed underwater vehicle)

  • 본 논문은 수중 고속 이동체의 심도 정보를 전송하는 방법을 다룬다. 고속 이동체로부터 전송되는 심도 정보신호는 높은 주파수 변동성을 갖고 수신된다. 제안한 방법에서는 기존의 방법처럼 주파수 동기화뿐만 아니라 시간 축에서 추가로 동기화 하는 방법을 적용하였다. 최대 50 kn로 이동하는 환경에서 수행된 모의실험을 통하여 기존의 방법보다 낮은 해상도를 갖는 도플러 주파수 뱅크를 형성하고, 제안한 방법을 사용하여 심도 정보를 복구한 경우 기존에 6 % ~ 9 %이었던 오류율이 0.2 % ~ 1 %로 낮아진 오류 성능을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, we propose an integer frequency offset estimation and compensation method based on PLC preamble correlation in DOCSIS 3.1 Downstream system. The proposed method determines the PLC preamble subcarrier location recovered from PLC data and the one obtained from PLC preamble correlation. We showed the performance of PLC preamble detection in the received signal through the maximum value detection of PLC preamble correlation. Thus we can estimate and compensate for the integer frequency offset by computing the difference of PLC subcarrier locations.

ZigBee 응용을 위한 웨이블릿변환 기반 오디오 데이터 전송 (Audio Data Transmission Based on The Wavelet Transform for ZigBee Applications)

  • A transform coding scheme for the transmission of audio data in ZigBee based wireless personal area networks (WPAN) is presented in this paper. Here, wavelet transform is exploited to encode the features of audio data included mainly in the low frequency region. As a result, it is confirmed that the presented scheme recovers the original audio signals much accurately while it transmits the binary data compressed as 37.5% of the entire data generated without coding scheme. Especially, the mean-squared error between the recovered and original audio data approaches $10^{-4}$ when the signal-to-noise power ratio is sufficiently high. Hence, the presented coding scheme which exploits the wavelet transform is possibly applied for high-quality audio data transmission services in a small-scale sensor network based on ZigBee. Such a result is considered to be applicable as a basic material to update the technical specifications and develop the applications of ZigBee in WPANs.

Preparation of HMX by Catalytic Nitrolysis of DPT in AIL-N2O5-HNO3 System

  • Direct nitrolysis of 3,7-dinitro-1,3,5,7-tetraazabicyclo[3,3,1]nonane (DPT) is a feasible way to synthesize HMX, and it has multiple practical applications. In this paper, a new nitrolysis process involving the use of an $N_2O_5-HNO_3$ system catalyzed by acidic ionic liquids (AILs) was developed. The results show that [$Et_3NH$]TsO was the best catalyst among the 28 AILs used and that HMX was formed at a higher yield of 61%, compared to 45% without any AIL. Moreover, with the addition of $N_2O_5$, the yield was further increased to a maximum value of 69%. The AILs were also efficiently recovered by simple extractions without any apparent loss of catalytic activity, even after five runs.

전력선 통신을 위한 2-반송파 DS방식의 특성과 MODEM의 구현 (Performance of 2-Carrier DS system and its MODEM designed for Power Line Transmission)

  • 전력선 통신을 위한 간단하면서 융통성이 큰 2-반송과 DS방식의 데이터 전송모뎀을 구현하고, 그 특성을 해석적으로 검토하였으며 실험을 통해 이것을 확인 하였다. 제안된 시스템은 DS모뎀 출력에 극성에 따라 독립된 2개의 반송파 주파수를 할당하여 전송케 하므로서 완전한 DSSS 동작을 보장 하도록 한다. 수신단말기의 두 포락선 검파출력은 재래방식 처리 비교기에 입력되지 않고 먼저 DS 상관기에 입력시켜서 그 출력을 잡음과 비교판정 하게 된다. 이때, 역확산되어 약화된 잡음전략이 신호와 비교되기 때문에 데이터의 에러율은 현저하게 개선 된다. 이 시스템은 구성이 비교적 간단함에도 불구하고, 2400bps의 데이터를 전송 할때, 재래식의 FSK 방식에 비하여 10dB정도 더 높은 선로잡음아래에서도 에러율 10 정도를 유지할 수가 있다.

  • 영상 감시 카메라는 각종 범죄를 예방하고 범죄사건을 해결하는데 중요한 정보를 제공해 준다. 2차원 얼굴 영상을 확대 복원하기 위해서는 사용하는 보간법은 비트맵 이미지를 사용하기 때문에 높은 품질의 영상으로 복원하기에는 많은 문제점이 있다. 따라서 이러한 문제점을 보완하면서 좀 더 높은 품질의 영상을 복원하고자 벡터 이미지 방식을 도입하여 영상을 복원하고자 한다.

A 1.62/2.7/5.4 Gbps Clock and Data Recovery Circuit for DisplayPort 1.2 with a single VCO

  • In this paper, a clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit that supports triple data rates of 1.62, 2.7, and 5.4 Gbps for DisplayPort 1.2 standard is described. The proposed CDR circuit covers three different operating frequencies with a single VCO switching the operating frequency by the 3-bit digital code. The prototype chip has been designed and verified using a 65 nm CMOS technology. The recovered-clock jitter with the data rates of 1.62/2.7/5.4 Gbps at $2^{31}$-1 PRBS is measured to 7/5.6/4.7 $ps_{rms}$, respectively, while consuming 11 mW from a 1.2 V supply.

가시광통신에서 3-레벨 바이트반전 전송을 이용한 플리커 방지 (Flicker Prevention in Visible Light Communication Using Three-Level Byte-Inversion Transmission)

  • 본 논문에서는 가시광통신에서 플리커를 방지하기 위한 3-레벨 바이트반전 전송방식을 새로이 소개한다. 가시광 송신부에서는 3-레벨 LED 변조기를 사용하여 원신호와 반전신호를 차례로 전송하며, 데이터 전송과정에서 LED의 평균광출력이 일정하게 유지되어 플리커가 발생하지 않는다. 가시광 수신부에서는 간단한 비교기를 사용하여 원신호가 쉽게 복구된다. 이 방식에서는 플리커 방지를 위하여 별도의 클럭이나 캐리어가 필요하지 않아 구조가 매우 간단하며, 저렴한 비용으로 플리커가 없는 실내의 가시광 시스템을 구축하는 데에 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

Molecular Characterization of Gastrothylax crumenifer (Platyhelminthes: Gastrothylacidae) from Goats in the Western Part of India by LSU of Nuclear Ribosomal DNA

  • The rumen parasite, Gastrothylax crumenifer (Platyhelminthes: Gastrothylacidae), is a highly pathogenic trematode parasite of goat (Capra hircus). It sucks blood that causes acute disease like anemia, and severe economic losses occur due to morbidity and mortality of the ruminant infected by these worms. The study of these rumen paramphistomes, their infection, and public health importance remains unclear in India especially in the western part of state Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), Meerut, India, where the goat meat consumption is very high. This paper provides the molecular characterization of G. crumenifer recovered from the rumen of Capra hircus from Meerut, U.P., India by the partial sequence of 28S rDNA. Nucleotide sequence similarity searching on BLAST of 28S rDNA from parasites showed the highest identity with those of G. crumenifer from the same host Capra hircus. This is the first report of molecular identification of G. crumenifer from this part of India.

Majorization-Minimization-Based Sparse Signal Recovery Method Using Prior Support and Amplitude Information for the Estimation of Time-varying Sparse Channels

  • In this paper, we study the sparse signal recovery that uses information of both support and amplitude of the sparse signal. A convergent iterative algorithm for sparse signal recovery is developed using Majorization-Minimization-based Non-convex Optimization (MM-NcO). Furthermore, it is shown that, typically, the sparse signals that are recovered using the proposed iterative algorithm are not globally optimal and the performance of the iterative algorithm depends on the initial point. Therefore, a modified MM-NcO-based iterative algorithm is developed that uses prior information of both support and amplitude of the sparse signal to enhance recovery performance. Finally, the modified MM-NcO-based iterative algorithm is used to estimate the time-varying sparse wireless channels with temporal correlation. The numerical results show that the new algorithm performs better than related algorithms.
