  • The modern society of the 21century is becoming a discussion as spaces appearing as ambiguous boundaries caused by complexed cultural phenomenon. As for the spacial factors we recognize, which appears as phenomenon in which is emphasizing the existing system of cognizance and thinking through drawing inviable parts of the effort within escaping the limits of gravity. This Merleau-Ponty and Gilles Deleuze refines it as theories called "Perception" and "Sense", and through the 'visible and invisible' of Merleau-Ponty and the 'Nonsense and paradox' of Gilles Deleuze, this study object is forming these inviable representations into space. Using the similarities of these two theories as a tool, we will analyze the examples of space with drawing the force that forms invisibility into embodiment, building a possibility of improvement in future spaces.

The Urgency of Reforming the Healthcare System for the Aged Society (고령사회에 대응한 보건의료체계 개편의 시급성)

  • Korea, which entered the aged society in 2018, is accelerating the progress of the aged society due to the rapid decrease in birth. Although the low birth rate is the important issue, comprehensive measures to cope with the aged society should be established. In particular, the reform of the healthcare system in response to the aged society is very urgent. The reorganization of the healthcare system in response to the aged society should focus on improving the functional abilities of the elderly and should be transformed into integrated older person-centered health service. The benefit package of National Health Insurance should be diversified and appropriate payment of each benefit package should be applied. The ageism should be overcame, and it is important to recognize that the measures for the older person are investments in future society. The reform of healthcare system for older person are very urgent in Korea, which is advancing into a rapidly aged society.

A Study on the Medical Devices in Korea, U.S., and China (한.미.중 의료기기에 관한연구)

  • This study has analyzed the international trade flow of medical devices in Korea, China, and U.S. more theoretically and systematically through a mutual connection of the medical device export structure of Korea and the import structure of China and U.S. organically, with an intensity approach on the bilateral international trade flow. Also, it is meaningful to find a solution to boost exports of Korea to China and U.S.. Therefore in this study, we recognize the importance of the medical device market in China and U.S., which is the main competition for Korea and its market, and look into the trade situation of these three countries. We also look into the relative market stream and the trade intensity of the main medical devices in Korea, China and U.S., and seek measures for the steady growth of the medical device market in these three countries.

Women's Street Fashion in World Fashion-Leading Cities (Classification and Style Analysis)

  • Recently, street fashion has been regularly introduced in many fashion media because both consumers and marketers began to recognize the importance of street fashion as a meaningful and objective fashion information source. As the globalization proceeds in fashion field,' the street fashion informations in major cities which has led world fashion trends become more influential on domestic fashion, but little concern has been paid on it. This study classified women's street fashion in 4 major world fashion cities such as Paris, London, New York, Tokyo and identified style characteristics of each group. For data collection, 795 front-view photos were selected from the two fashion trade publication 'STREET' and 'VIEW' which has introduced street fashion photos in those cities from 1996. Classification process went on three stages: sorting, naming and grouping. 49 undergraduate students were divided into 12 teams and about 80 photos were given to each team to sort into several sub-groups by overall images or common style characteristics. Then each sub-group was named according to common images or characteristics. Final groups came out after grouping each sub-group with a similar or same title together. For each group, common style characteristics were analyzed.

Types of Changes in Overt Aggression and Their Predictors in Early Adolescents : Growth Mixture Modeling (초기 청소년의 외현적 공격성 변화유형과 예측요인 : 성장혼합모형의 적용)

  • Growth mixture modeling was used to identify types of changes in overt aggression from Grades 4 to 7 among a sample from the Korean Youth Panel Survey. Three discrete patterns were found to adequately explain changes of overt aggression in both boys and girls : Persistent intermediate aggression; Increasing aggression; and Decreasing aggression. Most boys (93%) fell into the Persistent intermediate aggression group and 49% of girls were found to fall into the Increasing aggression group. This suggests that prevention programs should recognize that girls are at risk of increasing aggression in their early adolescence. Multinomial logistic regression analysis shows that self-control, child abuse, peer support, and involvement with deviant peers at Grades 4 were all strongly associated with trajectory class membership. These associations did not differ by gender. These findings suggest that prevention programs should focus on the multiple risk factors of both boys and girls.

  • Recently pictorial information processing has become increasingly important So, this paper described that feature points of fingerprint used to recognize fingerprints for identification in a government or arresting criminals in an institution like a police station related to crime. We apply an algorithm based on minimization of fuzzy theory to thinning and then the image into a certain size of squares. We have got some information about cores and deltas from the data encoding Into one of the eight directional codes. We could extract about $80\%$ feature points as the result of the experiment.

  • In this paper, we would like to discuss the signal processing and the algorithm for ECG analysis. The ECG gives us information about the condition of the heart muscle, because myocardial abnormality or infarction is inscribed on the ECG during myocardial depolarization and repolarization. Analyzing the ECG signal, we can find heart disease, for example, arrhythmia and myocardial infarction, etc. Particularly, detecting arrhythmia is more important, because serious arrhythmia can take away the life from patients within ten minutes. The wavelet transform decomposes the ECG signal into high and low frequency component using wavelet function. Recomposing high frequency bands including QRS complex, we can detect QRS complex and eliminate the noise from the original ECG signal. To recognize the ECG signal pattern, we adopted the curve-fitting partially and statistical method. The ECG signal is divided into small parts based on QRS complex, and then, each part is approximated to the polynomials. Comparing the approximated ECG pattern with some kinds of heart disease ECG pattern, we can detect and classify the kind of heart disease.

  • In this paper, an algorithm is presented to recognize lane and obstacles based on highway road image. The road images obtained by a video camera undergoes a pre-processing that includes filtering, edge detection, and identification of lanes. After this pre-processing, a part of image is grouped into 27 sub-windows and fed into a three-layer feed-forward neural network. The neural network is trained to indicate the road direction and the presence of absence of an obstacle. The proposed algorithm has been tested with the images different from the training images, and demonstrated its efficacy for recognizing lane and obstacles. Based on the test results, it can be said that the algorithm successfully combines the traditional image processing and the neural network principles towards a simpler and more efficient driver warning of assistance system

  • In order to prevent the belt from being damaged by metal pieces, we developed multicoil-type metal detection system. This detects the presence of belt clips and position of metal pieces in ores being transported on conveyor belt. In this research, our coil sensor of multicoil-type metal detection system is divided into two parts, exciting part (transmitter coil) and sensing part composed of two receiver coils. Each receiver coil has several coils in the direction of belt width. Multicoil-type metal detection system is operated by supplying a transmitter coil with electric power resources to generate magnetic field, and then the change of magnetic flux resulted from a metal piece on the conveyor be a is induced into sensing coils. We can prevent detector from failing to catch metal pieces due to high threshold level produced by steel belt clips and male the sensitivity of belt-width direction uniform by using multicoil-type metal detection system. Besides, this developed system can recognize precise position and size of metal piece. The experiments shows that our multicoil-type metal detection system has better performances than the conventional metal piece detector.

Color Pattern Recognition with Recombined Single Input Channel Joint Transform Correlator

  • Joint transform correlator (JTC) is a well known tool for color pattern recognition for a color image. Color images have red, green and blue components, thus in conventional JTC, three input channels of these color components are necessary for color pattern recognition. This paper proposes a new technique of color pattern recognition by decomposing the color image into three color components and recombining those components into a single gray image in the input plane. This new technique needs single input channel and single output CCD camera, thus a simple JTC can be used. We present various kinds of simulated results to show that our newly proposed technique can accurately recognize and discriminate color differences.
