  • This study developed digital literacy instruments and tested their effectiveness on college students' perceptions of AI technologies. In creating a new digital literacy test tool, we reviewed the concept and scale of digital literacy based on previous studies that identified the characteristics and measurement of AI literacy. We developed 23 preliminary questions for our research instrument and used a quantitative approach to survey 318 undergraduates. After conducting exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, we found that digital literacy in the age of AI had four ability sub-factors: critical understanding, artificial intelligence social impact recognition, artificial intelligence technology utilization, and ethical behavior. Then we tested the sub-factors' predictive powers on the perception of AI's usefulness and ease of use. The regression result shows that the most common powerful predictor of the usefulness and ease of use of AI technology was the ability to use AI technology. This finding implies that for college students, the ability to use various tools based on AI technology is an essential competency in the AI era.

Methods: Dental hygienists working at dental clinics distributed 220 questionnaires from the date of approval to October 31, 2019, at the dental hygienist maintenance training site and online. Data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 20.0 program with a significance level of 0.05. Results: Dental hygienists' perception of sponsorship, organizational attachment, and turnover intention were 2.97, 2.86, and 3.43, respectively. The turnover intention was higher when participants were unmarried, had high work intensity, a clinical career of 4-6 years, low organizational attachment, and a 53.7% explanation. Conclusions: To reduce the turnover intention, it is necessary to make appropriate compensations according to the long-term root of the experienced person, to adjust the work intensity, and to make efforts to increase the workers' attachment so that workers and organizations have the same values.

  • The purpose of this study is to survey Speech-Language Pathologists' perception on evaluation and treatment of "swallowing disorders". An online questionnaire was sent to the 279 subjects attending undergraduate/graduate programs in speech therapy department and/or SLPs who work in various settings. The survey consisted of three parts: 1) background information and educational/clinical experiences that are associated with dysphagia (swallowing disorder), 2) the current state of diagnosis and treatment of dysphagia of clinical practice (certified SLPs only), 3) the recognition of diagnosis, treatment, education for dysphagia. Each item of the survey was scaled by the participants on a five-point Likert scale of 1 to 5 (1 being not at all and 5 being extremely) or self-reported answers. The results of the survey showed that SLPs have high interest in "swallowing disorder", but most of them regarded them very difficult to diagnose and treat. The reason is that they have not been trained as a swallowing specialist. Therefore it is necessary to provide more opportunities for education and practice to establish the expertise of SLPs.

  • The purpose of this study was to suggest ways for practical food coordination, by examining restaurant-visitor' expectation factors for food coordination in restaurants. Statistical analyses were carried out based on the statistical data collected via survey from the restaurant. visitors. For the data analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, and ANOVA were applied, using the SAS 9.1(ver.) program. In the results for the general perception of food coordination, the degree of recognition by restaurant visitors for food coordination is not high. However, necessity for food coordination is highly recognized and a 70% of the respondents were positive in their response about an expropriation price. Fitty percent of the respondents indicated a positive response regarding the relationship between the visual effect of the food and a re-visit to the restaurant. Therefore, most restaurant visitors believe food coordination is necessary in restaurants, and expect to pay for it in price.

  • Despite the increasing recognition of the value of emotions and younger consumers in luxury market segments, little research has focused on the role consumer characteristics and emotions play in younger consumers' commitment to luxury brands. Drawing on the identity-motivation model and the idea of self-construal, this study identifies the contributing factors of younger consumers' commitment to luxury fashion brands. Specifically, this study examines the role of consumer characteristics (i.e., self-construal), the self-expressiveness of brands, and emotional factors (i.e., brand love and brand attachment) in developing consumer-brand relationships. The proposed model was tested with college students in the U.S., which supplied a representative group of younger consumers of luxury fashion brands. The data were collected using web-based surveys and analyzed using structural equation modeling method. The results showed that consumers who were characterized with interdependent self-construal had positive perceptions of self-expressive luxury fashion brands. Furthermore, the perception of self-expressive brands promotes the consumers' brand love of and brand attachmentto luxury fashion brands. Also, while both improved brand commitment, brand attachment had a greater impact on brand commitment than brand love. This study contributes to the literature by identifying driving forces of younger consumers' brand commitment. It also provides managerial implications for luxury fashion brands.

Methods: A convenience sample of 276 female college students agreed to complete a questionnaire. Data were collected from October 5 to October 15, 2009. The data were analyzed using SPSS win 18.0 program with descriptive statistics, Chi-square test and Logistic regression. Results: According to preferred body type, 86.9% of the students who preferred slim, 13.3% who preferred their own body type, and 4.2% who preferred chubby reported using weight control behavior. For weight control behavior according to satisfaction with body type, 82.9% of the students who were dissatisfied with their body type and 52.8% who were satisfied practiced weight control behavior. Variables influencing weight control behavior were body mass index (underweight OR 1.37, p=.050), cognition of the body (chubby/fat OR 2.68, p=.047), and preferred body type (slim OR 1.29, p=.006). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that, health providers need to educate female college students about appropriate body image and weight control behavior. Also, more studies are needed to identify other factor influencing weight control behaviors.
