This study examined the perception of life felt by low-income people in middle-aged and elderly people by enhancing the population structure of Korea, which is entering an aging society. For the analysis, the variables that need from the 2019 welfare panel data provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare were selected. The final 1,684 samples were selected from the panel samples of 14,918 people, from the '60-70s' of 'low income class', by removing the unresponsive and insincere samples. In particular, this study defined as a dependent variable as a 'ladder of life' measured in panel data, and analyzed the personal characteristics and life satisfaction factors affecting 'ladder of life'. As a result of the analysis, most of the personal characteristics were found to be influential factors of the "ladder of life" when considering only personal characteristics as an influential factor for the dependent variable "ladder of life". Also, as a result of examining the interaction effect on the economic state variable, there was no significant interaction effect. This shows that the health condition is more important than the economic condition as the influential factor on the ladder of middle-aged elderly people. Therefore, the recognition of the elderly 'ladder of life' should improve the awareness of the elderly's life by various 'environmental factors', both internal and external, rather than the personal conditions and environment of the elderly. In other words, a plan to present a positive alternative to their perception of life will be needed.
The purpose of this study is to identify the impact on patient safety management activities. In this study, 134 nurses from three local hospitals were investigated for patient safety culture recognition, patient safety capacity, and patient safety management activities, and the impact on patient safety management activities was thus attempted. The patient safety culture recognition level was 4.25/5, the patient safety capacity was 4.37/5, the patient safety management activity was 4.26/5, and the patient safety awareness and patient safety capability(r=.765, p<.001) and Patient Safety Capacity and Patient Safety Management Activity (r=.837, p<.001) and Patient Safety Capacity and Recognition of Patient Safety Culture(r=.728, p<.001) had a significant amount of correlation. Factors affecting patient safety management activities(β=.582, p<.001), Patient Safety Culture Recognition(β=.3632, p<.001), position(β=-.132, p=.009) Patient safety requires strengthening the capabilities of nurses and systematic training and evaluation of continuous patient safety activities.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate perception, acceptance and satisfaction of dessert menu in elementary school children. Five hundred students (246 male, 254 female) were recruited at the elementary schools in Seoul. The results show that dessert menus of elementary school lunches are needed to satisfy diverse acceptance and preference levels of children. For dessert items chocolate milk among beverage items, peaches among fruits, chocolate cookies among cookies, piece cake among breads and honey rice cake among rice cakes presented high acceptance scores. Furthermore, fruits, ice creams, juices and cookies were the most liked food items. Taste and health of desserts were important factors in perception of dessert. Rice cake (48.6%), a Korean traditional food, was the most preferred food item, followed by tea punch (31.2%), Korean cracker (10.0%) and Shanja (4.0%). Taste (51.4%) was considered as the most important factor for improvement of dessert, and increasing variety of dessert items (43.4%) was considered as the most important factor affecting demand of dessert. It is suggested that continuous update of school dessert menus is needed to meet consumers' demands and health aspects. Furthermore, Korean traditional desserts might be the key for improving satisfaction in desserts in elementary school lunches.

The purpose of this study is to analyze elementary, middle and high school teachers' perceptions and experiences on school library services, to obtain basic information and to draw implications for setting the contents and direction of school library services. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 498 teachers working at elementary, middle and high schools in the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education for reading status, recognition and emotion of the school libraries, school library experience, teaching experiences using school libraries, and the role of teacher-librarians. As a result of the analysis, there was a difference in teachers' perceptions, emotions, and experiences of school library services according to school level and school library personnel. In particular, the school library personnel was found to have a significant influence on teachers' perception, emotion and experience of school library service.

Despite growing interest in Korean foods, South-east Asian consumers' perception and acceptance of Korean foods have not been well elucidated. This study was conducted to understand South-east Asian Muslim consumers' perception and acceptance of Korean foods and the association with their food neophobia level. Ninety-three Muslim consumers (mean ages 25.2, men 35.5%, women 64.5%) from Malaysia (72%), Indonesia (16.1%), and Singapore (11.9%) rated their degree of food neophobia as well as recognition and acceptance of representative Korean menu items. Background data such as duration of stay and Korean food consumption habits were collected. Overall, participants perceived Korean foods positively (4.04 on a 5-point hedonic scale). Most well-recognized Korean foods were gimbap and bulgogi, whereas less-known spicy foods such as ojingoe deopbap were most liked among items that were actually consumed. A neophobic group rated Korean foods less favorably than neutral and neophilic groups (p<0.05). Future studies are required to identify whether or not South-east Asian Muslim consumers' food neophobia is formed under the influence of religious regulations or reflect individual consumers' personal traits.
The study investigated the perception and experience of infection control targeting dental users. During July-August 2020, 198 adults over the age of 20 were surveyed on general characteristics, infection control awareness and experience, and improvement. Analysis was performed using PASW Statistics ver 18.0. The research results, 91% of dental users recognized that infection control was important. In the recognition of infection control were highly investigated oral treatment equipment sterilization, hand hygiene and glove replacement before and after treatment by dental staff. And dental users was relatively low the replacement of disposable gowns and safety glasses for each patient by medical staff. The dental staff are doing well in personal protection and instrument sterilization. Surface disinfection and water quality management needed improvement. It was meaningful to suggest improvement in infection control based on the perception and experience from the perspective of dental users. It is expected to be used as basic data necessary for high-quality medical services through infection control in dental medical institutions.
Background: Radiation is used in a variety of areas, but it also poses potential risks. Although radiation is often used with great effectiveness in many applications, people perceive potential risks associated with radiation and feel anxious about the possibility of radiation exposure. Various methods of measuring radiation doses have been developed, but there is no way for the general public to measure their doses with ease. Currently, many people use smartphones, which provide information about the location of an individual phone through network connections. If a smartphone application could be developed for measuring radiation dosage, it would be a very effective way to measure individuals' radiation doses. Thus, we conducted a survey study to assess the social acceptance of such a technology by the general public and their intent to use that technology to measure radiation doses, as well as to investigate whether such an intention is correlated with anxiety and attitudes toward the use of radiation. Materials and Methods: A nationwide online survey was conducted among 355 Koreans who were 20 years old or older. Results and Discussion: Significant differences were found between the genders in attitudes, perceptions of radiation risk, and fears of exposure to radiation. However, a significant difference according to age was observed only in the intent to use a smartphone dose measurement application. Attitudes towards the use of radiation exerted a negative effect on radiation risk perception and exposure anxiety, whereas attitudes towards the use of radiation, risk perception, and anxiety about exposure were found to have a positive impact on the intent to use a smartphone application for dose measurements. Conclusion: A survey-based study was conducted to investigate how the general public perceives radiation and to examine the acceptability of a smartphone application as a personal dose monitoring device. If such an application is developed, it could be used not only to monitor an individual's dose, but also to contribute to radiation safety information infrastructure by mapping radiation in different areas, which could be utilized as a useful basis for radiation research.
With rapid economic growth, the urban environment has created a problem of human physical and mental illness. In order to solve these problems, urban forests have emerged as a way to mitigate the environmental risks through improving the polluted environment of the city and improve the quality of life. As the urban forests have expanded, the school forests movement has also been taking an important place recently. The study focused on the performance of school forests by comparing the perceptions among teachers and students about their functions. The questionnaire was composed of 4 questions concerning human matters, 10 questions for space recognition, 4 questions for thermal environment, 2 questions for health promotion, and 20 total questions for composition of survey items. The reliability of the school forest function, number of tree planting areas and quantities, the harmony of the planting, and the satisfaction of the school forest were analyzed in the questionnaire conducted by the school members. Although it does not recognize school forests, it has a positive response to the green space that is built outdoors. It is considered that outdoor education and environmental education are sufficient in school forests and green spaces. The results showed that the outdoor green space was more satisfactory when compared with the general school. Teachers and students' preferences were similar to 'seasonal changes' and' trees of various colors and shapes'. The reliability analysis between each item shows that the coefficient for cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .700 to .834. The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of forest function among school forest members and to utilize them as a basic data in the future.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to examine senior citizens' perception of medical welfare service in Daejeon, and to investigate the level of Korean Medicine University students' satisfaction about medical services that they have done. Methods : We visited Daejeon city hall and Dae jeon Seo-gu community health center, and interviewed them. After that we select two population and did two different surveys. First, to investigate the current state of medical services and medical welfare in Daejeon, we select neglected class senior citizens who were serviced at social welfare center. Second, we select Daejeon Korean Medicine University student to investigate the level of satisfaction about medical services and pre-education. In first population, we random select 25 of 34 senior citizen who visits mere social welfare center. In second population, we random select 78 of 115 Korean Medicine University student who belongs to medical welfare club. Results : We found some advantages and problems in medical services. A lot of senior citizen who were serviced at social welfare center showed high level of satisfaction about medical service. But there were few citizens who knows about health & medical welfare. And most Korean Medicine University student who services medical service to neglected class senior citizens showed high level of satisfaction. Conclusion : We concluded that medical welfare for senior citizen needs more publicizing. Because result of our survey, many senior citizens showed not only low level of recognition in medical welfare service, also showed low utilization rate in public health center. And most Korean Medicine University students were satisfied with themselves about medical service that they have done, it seemed medical service gives beneficial influence to not only senior citizen but also Korean Medicine University student.
The aim of this study is to highlight the importance of the correct food choices and nutrition management through nutrition labeling and provide basic data for building a nutrition labeling system for Korean restaurants. In the study, a survey was conducted from February 5th to February 27th in 2010 involving adults over the age of 20 living in part of the Gyeonggi-do area. The data was used to analyze the general characteristics, the awareness of nutrition labeling and the nutrition labeling contents by using the SPSS 18.0 package program. Among the 268 people surveyed, the total number of women was greater (60.4%) than men (39.6%). The perception of the necessity of nutrition labeling was a relatively high score of 3.99 on a 1 to 5 scale and the motivation to utilize nutrition labeling scored 3.89. The study found that females perceived nutrition labeling to be more important than did the males. In addition, the perception varied according to the level of education and age. In conclusion, since customers have a high demand for nutrition labeling in Korean restaurants and are motivated to utilize labeling when eating-out is relatively strong, labeling would be a good educational tool for leading a healthy food life. Furthermore, since the study found that differences occur between nutrition labeling contents or nutrients according to general characteristics, food service companies might be able to gain benefits through differentiated nutrition labeling that is catered for their main customers.
