Tendency Analysis of Indoor Natural Ventilation by PST(Particle Streak Tracking) System (PST(Particle Streak Tracking)시스템을 통한 실내자연환기 경향분석)

  • Ventilation of buildings provide occupants with comfort and plays a very informant role in supplying indoor ventilation requirement. Also, natural ventilation is more comfortable than forced ventilation taking account of mental comfort. Especially factors, airflow velocity and direction etc., should be reflected in establishment of comfortable indoor environment because indoor airflow can directly affect comfort of occupants. However, a device which enables indoor air movement to be analyzed has not existed until now. Hence, it has mostly depended on simulation results of fluid analysis but the results often differ far from reality. PST(Particle-Streak-Tracking) System, an alternative to improve this problem, is currently applied to natural ventilation in building, air conditioning, and airflow analysis in the inside of a plane etc. This study closely examine the property and strength and weakness of PST that is first introduced into KICT and then evaluate applicable possibility.

Development of Web-based Virtual System to Simulate Forging Operation (Web 기반형 단조 가공 가상 생산 시스템 개발)

  • This paper presented a web-based virtual system to simulate forging operation. The system utilized simulation techniques of Finite Element Method (FEM) to analyze the forging process and Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) to visualize the simulation results in the web. The analysis using FEM could show mechanical information such as stresses and deformation profiles of a specimen during forging process and the analysis results were transferred into virtual space using VRML. Since the forging machine and specimen were modeled using Java and VRML, the forging machine and analysis results were browsed and integrated on the web that is interfaced to users through EAI to show the whole forging simulation. The developed system realized the working environment virtually so that education and experiment could be performed effectively even on the PC.

  • The Ministry of National Defense announced 'Defense Reform 2.0' that aims to strengthen the country's security for decrease of regional uncertainties, growing requirements for advanced technologies, and a need for more efficiency in the Republic of Korea(RoK) Armed Forces this year. It said RoK Armed Forces have to change efficiently in preparation for rapid decline in military service resources as demographic cliff turning into reality, and the rapid evolution of the "battlefield environment" caused by developments in military science and technologies. RoK Navy combat Management System(CMS) made by domestic proprietary technology since 2000s and development centered on Agency for Defense Development require design changes for added requirements. So in this paper, I propose method of design a low cost and high efficiency navy CMS architecture based on high performance server and virtualization technology. And I create a test environment for analysis performance and compare the performance of proposed navy CMS and existing navy CMS.

  • The construction industry is in the process of changing from the existing labor-intensive production system to a construction automation system using advanced information and communication technologies. Accordingly, in order to identify key research areas and utilization technologies in the field of construction automation, this study collected the latest 17 years (2000-2016) of papers published in International Symposium on Automation and Robotics in Construction (ISARC) and conducted a correlation analysis between the construction management areas and automation technologies based on the keyword frequency. As a result, the BIM, WSN, and Augmented reality were extracted as the technology keywords with high correlation with various areas of construction management.

  • This study intends to propose an evaluation tool for analyzing the sense of immersion of realistic VR game contents in the metabus game industry, which is rapidly increasing recently. This paper presents an analysis tool to measure the degree of immersion after selecting three types VR games for research, and analyzing the immersion way method of the game. The research method analyzes how the user and the sense of immersion formed in the storytelling in the game can have an effect. Based on the results, we present an sense of immersion analysis and measurement method for evaluating the usability of VR game contents, which is a key element in the metaverse era. Furthermore, it expands the immersion element that appears in storytelling to the game industry and seeks a new direction of development through connection with the VR game industry.

  • Planning and Scheduling in Korean has been developed from Bar Chart to CPM, integrated management and EVM were attempted. As growing of overseas projects, Scheduler was also recognized as important one. However, the reality is that most Korean construction projects still remain in the preparation of construction plan and construction schedule in 1990s. The global Planning and Scheduling trend is EOT claims. I would like to understand the global trend of EOT claims and EOT analysis, and to find out Planning and Scheduling measures to successfully promote EOT claims.

  • Based on the survey analysis of safety accidents at construction sites that occur every year, most of them are caused by temporary structures. While analyzing in detail, it is confirmed that the main factors for such accidents are the quality problem of temporary equipment, unstable construction, and arbitrary change. As temporary structure is installed only for the construction of main structure, the reality is that no attention is paid to the construction of temporary structures.

The Reality and Alternative of Gender Inequality to Female Golf Leader (여성골프지도자의 젠더 불평등 현실과 대안)

  • This study examines the inequality of female golf leaders in recruitment and promotion and investigates alternatives to overcome them. It consisted of in-depth interviews and observations of the participants of this researcher by 9 female golf instructors who were employed in the driving range and had more than 10 years of teaching experience. Area analysis and classification analysis were used, and expert consultation, triangulation verification, and reconfirmation with participants were performed. The results first, Female golf leaders were unable to compete equally in the network of male golf leaders who advanced first. Second, female golf leaders were faithful to the role theory of women who have been educated in Confucian culture in Korean society. Third, to overcome the gender inequality reality, education was selected and self-esteem was raised through education. Fourth, fair opportunities should be given through job postings and job standardization. Lastly, it was confirmed that the proportion of athletes soon leads to the proportion of leaders, and that the number of leaders becomes a condition for equality.

Frame Analysis on Risk Reporting: Food Safety Reports from 1989 to 2005 (위험보도의 위기구축 기제 프레임 분석: 식품안전 보도를 중심으로)

  • This frame analysis attempts to shed light on the process by which the Korean press constructs crisis as social reality through a series of risk reporting on food safety. Based on the FSSI(Food Safety Sentiment Index) developed by KIHASA(Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs), 11 cases of food safety reports from 1989 to 2005 were collected from the Korean Integrated News Database System(KINDS) and analyzed to yield the following salient features: risk diffusion frame; attribution of responsibility frame; conflict frame. It was observed that the press exhibited a tendency to approach the food safety incidents from a bi-polarized perspective, amplifying dichotomy between the victim and the perpetrator rather than treating them as scientific, or environmental hazards that require precise and synthesized information for resolution. This occupational habit of attributing status to agents of news was also found to contribute towards construction of crisis as social reality.

Research Trends in University Library Information Services in Korea (국내 대학도서관 정보서비스 연구동향)

  • With the purpose of looking into the information service study tendency, targeted at university library, this performed a content analysis of the articles in print from 2006 to 2015 on major four academic journals of Library and Information Science. Investigation items were study number of information services, subsidiary themes classified with information service functions, study method, collection method, user object, and theory study vs. service study in reality. As a result, information service studies were performed more than other areas. Information service functions targeted at the study were that of information supply. Major subsidiary themes were electronic information service, information literacy instruction, and information (reference) services general. Major study methods were survey research method,, case study, and major material collection methods were questionnaire and web-based research methods. Major user studies were targeted at undergraduates, and service study in reality took a great share.
