해석적 비용함수와 최대원리리에 의한 양수운전을 포함하는 최적전원계획 (Optimal Generation Planning Including Pumped-Storage Plant Based on Analytic Cost Function and Maximum Principle)

  • This paper proposes an analytic tool for long-term generation expansion planning based on the maximum principle. Many research works have been performed in the field of generation expansion planning. But few works can be found with the maxinmum principle. A recently published one worked by professor Young Moon Park et al. shows remarkable improvements in modeling and computation. But this modeling allows only thermal units. This paper has extended Professor Park's model so that the optimal pumped-storage operation is taken into account. So the ability for practical application is enhanced. In addition, the analytic supply-shortage cost function is included. The maximum principle is solved by gradient search due to its simplicity. Every iteration is treated as if mathematical programming such that all controls from the initial to the terminal time are manipulated within the same plane. Proposed methodology is tested in a real scale power system and the simulation results are compared with other available package. Capability of proposed method is fully demonstrated. It is expected that the proposed method can be served as a powerful analytic tool for long-term generation expansion planning.

ROS 기반 자율주행 알고리즘 성능 검증을 위한 시뮬레이션 환경 개발 (Development of Simulation Environment for Autonomous Driving Algorithm Validation based on ROS)

  • This paper presents a development of simulation environment for validation of autonomous driving (AD) algorithm based on Robot Operating System (ROS). ROS is one of the commonly-used frameworks utilized to control autonomous vehicles. For the evaluation of AD algorithm, a 3D autonomous driving simulator has been developed based on LGSVL. Two additional sensors are implemented in the simulation vehicle. First, Lidar sensor is mounted on the ego vehicle for real-time driving environment perception. Second, GPS sensor is equipped to estimate ego vehicle's position. With the vehicle sensor configuration in the simulation, the AD algorithm can predict the local environment and determine control commands with motion planning. The simulation environment has been evaluated with lane changing and keeping scenarios. The simulation results show that the proposed 3D simulator can successfully imitate the operation of a real-world vehicle.

  • 건축물이 고층화, 대형화 될수록 수직 양중 계획 및 운영에 관한 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 이에 프로젝트 초기 단계에 실제 모델과 유사한 건설용 리프트 양중계획을 수립하려는 노력이 계속되고 있지만 프로젝트 착수 후 리프트 운행을 컨트롤 할 수 있는 시스템은 부재한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 건설용 리프트 운영 효율증대를 위하여 센서를 사용한 리프트 운행 정보를 수집하고 실시간 분석이 가능한 건설용 리프트 최적화 운행 시스템 개발을 실시 및 검증 단계를 수행하여, 양중 효율의 지표가 되는 사용자 대기 시간의 단축을 도모하고 향후 무인 스마트 리프트의 초석이 되는 시스템을 제시하고자 한다.

  • This study presents a ready-to-use production planning and control (PP&C) system for the plastic extrusion industry of this country. From the view point of production management, the problems of the industry which are composed of small to midium size manufactures can be summarized as i) poor field data gathering ii) absence of systematic factory management. This study first attempts to devise a simple but useful field monitoring system. Then it presents a PP&C scheme that utilizes the special characteristics of plastic extrusion factory. Various algorithms for the scheme are devised. The resulting system is now realized and ready to implement.

  • Shipping companies consider most of the ship turnaround time as a critical factor when selecting a rolling port for reducing costs. So, many researchers have been studying for the optimization of preplanning and high~performance of the Gantry Cranes (GCs) in container terminals for faster loading and unloading. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) based RTLS (Real-Time Location System) for reducing the ship turnaround time in ubiquitous port environment. In addition, pre-planning based on ubiquitous computing environment will support the GC and Yard Tractors (YTs), and reduce ship turnaround time more effectively. Especially, the proposed method enormously enhances the productivity of loading for the twin-lift system It will reduce the whole lead-time in the process of port logistics.

  • Due to the complexities of the real-world system, a water resource management program has to deal with various types of data. It appears that management personnel who has to use the program usually suffers from the technical burdens of handling large amount of data and understanding the optimization theory when they try to interpret the results. By combining the capabilities of database technology and modeling technique with optimization procedure we can develop a reliable decision supporting tool for multi-reservoir operation planning, which yields operating schedule for each dam in a river basin. We introduce two special data handling methodology for the real world application. First, by treating dams, hydro-electric power generating facilities and demand sites as separate database tables, the proposed data handling scheme can be applied to general water resource system in Korea. Second, by assigning variable names using predetermined key words, we can save searching time for identifying the moaning of the variables, so that we can quickly save the results of the optimization run to the database.

  • Recently the construction of the ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system becomes accomplished actively from the many enterprises. But the many problems occur in acquisition of production data which is a fundamental data of system. Also to delay the acquisition of the production result is fatal in the efficient business operation. The construction of the POP(Point of Production) system which acquires production data at real time is become accomplished widely, In the POP system it is most important to acquire the production data which is accurate. But the many enterprises drop the competitive power with acquisition of the data which could not be trusted. In this paper, we analyze these causes and present the method which it can improve the reliability of production data. Also we introduce a real application case.

  • 본 논문은 UAV의 RF방식에 따른 정보 송수신의 한계를 극복하기 위해 이동통신 기반의 비행 중인 수 많은 UAV의 위치를 동시에 확인하고 관제를 N:N으로 할 수 있도록, LTE모뎀을 경량 및 저전력 기술을 활용하여 운행중인 UAV에 대한 정보를 수신하고 통제 할 수 있는 방안을 연구하였다. 본 연구를 통해 언제 어디서든지 네트워크에 접속하여 고해상도의 영상을 전송하여 실시간 위치추적 관제 할 수 있는 방안을 제시 하고, 이를 위해 LTE기반의 UAV의 통신 모듈 시스템을 제시함으로써 실시간 고속의 데이터 통신 기술을(3G, 4G LTE, 블루투스) 활용하여 LTE 모뎀의 요구사항 및 기준 요건을 제시하여 비행 중인 UAV의 동시 모니터링을 위한 N:N 관제 체계 개념 및 구현 기술(관제 시스템 구조, 관제 데이터 흐름도, 비행계획 수립 및 전송, 실시간 위치추적) 검증에 대해서 연구하였다.

  • Autonomous driving is no longer atechnology of the future since the development of autonomous vehicles has now been realized, and many technologies have already been developed for the convenience of drivers. For example, autonomous vehicles are one of the most important drive assistant systems. Among these many drive assistant systems, Cruise Control Systems are now a typical technology. This system constantly maintains a vehicle's speed and distance from a vehicle in front by using Radar or LiDAR sensors in real time. Cruise Control Systems do not only serve their original role, but also fulfill another role as a 'Driving Safety' measure as they can detect a situation that a driver did not predict and can intervene by assuming a vehicle's longitude control. However, these systems have the limitation of only focusing on driver safety. Therefore, in this paper, an Intelligent Cruise Control System that utilizes the path planning method and GIS is proposed to overcome some existing limitations.

  • 최근 교통 기술의 발전과 여가생활에 대한 관심이 늘어남에 따라 여행이 주요 여가 활동으로 자리 잡고 있다. 또한, 스마트폰이나 태블릿PC와 같이 GPS를 탑재한 모바일 기기 보급으로 인해 사용자의 위치를 실시간으로 수집하는 것이 가능해졌다. 이런 환경을 바탕으로 번거로운 여행 일정 계획을 대신 수립해주는 여행 일정 추천 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되었다. 그러나 기존의 연구들은 사용자들의 비용이나 시간에 대한 제약사항을 고려해 짧은 경로를 포함하는 여행 일정을 추천하거나 여행 목적지에서 가장 인기 있는 지역을 가장 많이 포함하는 일정을 추천하는 것을 목적으로 하기 때문에 개인의 만족도를 높이기 위한 개인화된 여행 일정 추천시스템에 대한 연구는 많지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사용자들의 만족도를 높이기 위한 개인화 서비스 연구의 일환으로 그 동안 다른 연구에서는 간과되었던 사용자들의 체류시간을 고려한 여행 일정 추천 시스템을 제안한다.
