Development of Wireless Integrated System for Managing Water Tank (저수조 무선 통합 관리 시스템 개발)

  • Most water tanks operating have been managed by people's five senses. A human material resource have been wasted awfully at this. In the present study, we suggest the wireless integrated system for managing water tank of reducing the wastage human resources and on-line real time managing efforts of water tanks. Water level sensor works the pump sending the data from water tank control to the wireless control on sensing water level. At this time, every kind data which happens in the water tank transmits the line transmission modem. Data to be received from the line transmission modem is stored at the database after we record the logs by each hour. We display the result to the web pages, after checking the pump motion, the pump error, the water level, the solar battery error, the chemicals, and the telephone line to the foundation data to be saved. Furthermore, this paper suggests empirical applications of the proposed wireless integrated system for managing water tank in order to verify its feasibility.

  • As smart phones have became popular in recent years, use rate of smart phones application of mobile subscribers is now gradually increasing. Smart phones have a considerable effect on real life of users. Especially, mobile payment service using smart phones is outstanding in convenience because of its simple way to check out online. Therefore, in this paper, the database was designed for inquiring and making pre-order for take-out products based on connivence. This paper offers pre-order design to have order information standardized, menus which store owners can register and manage, and statistical data based on sales. It can be cost and time-efficient by using integrated pre-order system across all franchises. If this take-out pre-order system becomes more widely available, it will increase profit for both users and franchises due to cost and time efficiency.

  • In this paper, we propose a new logging and recovery scheme that is suited for the high-performance transaction processing system base on flash memory storage. The proposed scheme is designed by considering flash's I/O characteristic of asymmetric costs between page update/read operations. That is, we substitute the costly update operation with writing and real-time usage of snapshot log, which is for the page-level physical redo. From this, we can avoid costly rewriting of a dirty page when it is evicted form a buffering pool. while supporting efficient revery procedure. The proposed scheme would be not lucrative in the case of HDD-based system. However, the proposed scheme offers the performance advance sush as a reduced number of updates and the fast system recovery time, in the case of flash storage such as SSD (solid state drive). Because the proposed scheme can easily be applied to existing systems by saving our snapshot records and ordinary log records together, our scheme can be used for improving the performance of upcoming SSD-based database systems through a tiny modification to existing REDO algorithms.

  • Recently, the retail industry has been increasingly demanding information technology convergence and utilization to respond to various external environmental threats such as COVID-19 and to be competitive using AI technologies, but there is a very lack of research and application services. This study is a CCTV video data-driven AI application case study, using CCTV image data collection in retail space, object detection and tracking AI model, time series database to store real-time tracked objects and tracking data, heatmap to analyze congestion and interest in retail space, social access zone.We present the orientation and verify its usability in the direction designed through practical implementation.

A Study on the Characteristics of Re-Organized Shortform Contents (재가공형 숏폼 콘텐츠의 특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the meaning and characteristics of re-organized shortform contents, which is centered on media companies to edit and service existing broadcast content. For this, KBS, MBC, SBS, JTBC, and tvN's entire drama videos and representative entertainment programs opened on the Naver TV platform from 2014 to 2021 were selected for analysis and a synchronic and diachronic approach was conducted at the same time. As a result of the analysis, quantitative and qualitative expansion was made, with the number and form of videos provided by both dramas and entertainment programs diversifying from a synchronic approach. In particular, in the case of special videos, the meaning as independent content was also strengthened, such as sequencing centered on characters, themes, and materials. It was confirmed that thumbnails and titles were also formalized as tags as paratexts that act as curation for searches. From a diachronic point of view, it was found that re-organized shortform contents is considered to be character-oriented contents and independent viewing context through comparison with real-time views and original videos. This study is significant as an attempt to capture the meaning and phase change of shortform contents, which was considered incidental.

An Index-Based Approach for Subsequence Matching Under Time Warping in Sequence Databases (시퀀스 데이터베이스에서 타임 워핑을 지원하는 효과적인 인덱스 기반 서브시퀀스 매칭)

  • This paper discuss an index-based subsequence matching that supports time warping in large sequence databases. Time warping enables finding sequences with similar patterns even when they are of different lengths. In earlier work, Kim et al. suggested an efficient method for whole matching under time warping. This method constructs a multidimensional index on a set of feature vectors, which are invariant to time warping, from data sequences. For filtering at feature space, it also applies a lower-bound function, which consistently underestimates the time warping distance as well as satisfies the triangular inequality. In this paper, we incorporate the prefix-querying approach based on sliding windows into the earlier approach. For indexing, we extract a feature vector from every subsequence inside a sliding window and construct a multidimensional index using a feature vector as indexing attributes. For query processing, we perform a series of index searches using the feature vectors of qualifying query prefixes. Our approach provides effective and scalable subsequence matching even with a large volume of a database. We also prove that our approach does not incur false dismissal. To verify the superiority of our approach, we perform extensive experiments. The results reveal that our approach achieves significant speedup with real-world S&P 500 stock data and with very large synthetic data.

S-XML Transformation Method for Efficient Distribution of Spatial Information on u-GIS Environment (u-GIS 환경에서 효율적인 공간 정보 유통을 위한 S-XML 변환 기법)

  • In u-GIS environment, we collect spatial data needed through sensor network and provide them with information real-time processed or stored. When information through Internet is requested on Web based applications, it is transmitted in XML. Especially, when requested information includes spatial data, GML, S-XML, and other document that can process spatial data are used. In this processing, real-time stream data processed in DSMS is transformed to S-XML document type and spatial information service based on web receive S-XML document through Internet. Because most of spatial application service use existing spatial DBMS as a storage system, The data used in S-XML and SDBMS needs transformation between themselves. In this paper, we propose S-XML a transformation method using caching of spatial data. The proposed method caches the spatial data part of S-XML to transform S-XML and relational spatial database for providing spatial data efficiently and it transforms cached data without additional transformation cost when a transformation between data in the same region is required. Through proposed method, we show that it reduced the cost of transformation between S-XML documents and spatial information services based on web to provide spatial information in u-GIS environment and increased the performance of query processing through performance evaluation.

  • Geospatial information data came recently in use to build the location-based service in various fields. These data were shown via a 2-D map in the past but now can be viewed as a 3-D map due to the dramatic evolution of IT technology, thus improving efficiency and raising practicality to a greater extent by providing a more realistic visualization of the field. In addition, many previous GIS applications have been provided under desktop environment, limiting access from remote sites and reducing its approachability for less experienced users. The latest trend offers service with web-based environment, providing efficient sharing of data to all users, both unknown and specific internal users. Therefore, real-time information sensors that have been installed on steep slopes are to be integrated with 3-D geospatial information in this study. It is also to be developed with web-based environment to improve usage and access. There are three steps taken to establish this system: firstly, a 3-D GIS database and 3-D terrain with higher resolution aerial photos and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) have been built; secondly, a system architecture was proposed to integrate real-time sensor information data with 3D Web-based GIS; thirdly, the system has been constructed for Gangwon Province as a test bed to verify the applicability.

Development of Environmental Safety Real-Time Monitoring System by Living Area (생활권역별 환경안전 실시간 모니터링 시스템의 개발)

  • In this paper, a real-time monitoring system for environmental safety by living area is proposed. The proposed system is designed to measure radiation, fine dust and basic living information (temperature) using fixed and mobile measuring equipment, and constitutes a web database that stores data received from the equipment. It also develops web programs for displaying received data on PCs and mobile phones. The results of testing the performance of the system by an authorized testing agency showed that the radiation measurement range was measured in the range of $10{\mu}Sv/h$ to 10mSv/h, which is comparable to the world's highest level, and that the accuracy was measured between ${\pm}6.7$ and ${\pm}8.7$ percent of the measurement uncertainty was measured and normal operation at or below the international standard of ${\pm}15$ percent. In addition, the temperature test was conducted on a section of $-20^{\circ}C$ to $50^{\circ}C$ and normal operation was confirmed in response to the temperature change. Stability of radiated electromagnetic waves was ensured by a suitable judgment. The product's testing in general and high and low temperature environments for about four months after the prototype was made confirmed to be more than five years of durability. The measurement range and accuracy of fine dust sensors are compared with those of companies that measure the air environment, and the performance level is similar through the air quality measurement register.
