Main machinery in the factory have various digital indicator to display its operating data for the manager. It is useful to control these datum at the remote office for factory automation in order to increase machine productivity. It is easy to use Ethernet infrastructure for remote communication. But most of all machinery in domestic factories still support RS232c or RS485 serial communication way. In this case to control machinery datum on the ethernet base, it is need to change RS232C or RS485 data to ethernet base. In this paper, in order to develop a remote progress management system through the wireless Internet, we show a design method to make easy maintenance by developing the system with both the JAVA language and RxTx Package for RS232c serial communication. For the system implementation, we added the digital indicator connect with a thermo couple to a machine which provide the real time status data of temperature. To connect machines management server program, we set up a convertor to change the RS485 data to the RS232c and also another convertor to change the RS232c data to wireless ethernet.
In this paper, an A-team(Asynchronous Team ) based approach for Reactive power and volage control considering static security assessment in a power system with infrastructural deficiencies is proposed. Reactive power and voltage control problem is the one of optimally establishing voltage level given several constraints such as reactive generation, voltage magnitude, line flow, and other switchable reactive power sources. It can be formulated as a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP) problem without deteriorating of solution accuracy to a certain extent. The security assessment is to estimate the relative robustness of the system in Its present state through the evaluation of data provided by security monitoring. Deterministic approach based on AC load flow calculations is adopted to assess the system security, especially voltage security. A security metric, as a standard of measurement for power system security, producting a set of discrete values rather than binary values, is employed. In order to analyze the above two problems, reactive power/voltage control problem and static security assessment problem, in an integrated fashion for real-time operations, a new organizational structure, called an A-team, is adopted. An A-team is an organization for agents which ale all autonomeus, work in parallel and communicate asynchronously, which is well-suited to the development of computer-based, multi-agent systems for operations. This A-team based approach, although it is still in the beginning stage, also has potential for handling other difficult power system problems.

Currently, the quality measurement of the work is carried out by the supervisor's visual inspection, as the workers individually judge the number of resolutions, thickness, speed and vibration. After work, we are conducting follow-up work through traditional spot test, which is less representative. Therefore, it is impossible to check the results of the resolution, and there is always the possibility that problems will arise due to poor construction. This study demonstrates the feasibility of using the continuous compaction strength measurement method by comparing the continuous compaction strength measurement method and the conventional compaction strength measurement method after performing the compaction in the actual field scale in various test conditions. The validity is verified by analyzing the Compaction Meter Value of an Intelligent Compaction roller composed of a Global Positioning System and an accelerometer, Based on the proven results, a full range of quality can be confirmed without a single test. The quality confirmation is visualized in the compaction control program developed in this study, This enables the field manager to perform real-time quality monitoring at the same time as compaction.
The external weather conditions including temperature and wind speed in the Saemangeum reclaimed land is different from that of the inland, affecting the internal environment of the greenhouse. Therefore, it is important to select an appropriate covering material considering the insulation effect according to the type and characteristics of the covering material considering the weather condition in the Saemangeum reclaimed land. A hexahedral insulation chamber was designed to evaluate the insulation efficiency of each glass-clad material in the outside weather condition in reclaimed land. In order to evaluate the insulation effect of each covering material, a radiator was installed and real-time power consumption was monitored. 16-mm PC (polycarbonate), 16-mm PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), 4-mm greenhouse glass, and 16-mm double-layered glass were used as the covering materials of the chamber. In order to understand the effect of the external wind directions, the windward and downwind insulation properties were evaluated. As a result of comparing the thermal insulation effect of each greenhouse cover material to single-layer glass, the thermal insulation effect of double-layer glass was 16.9% higher, while PMMA and PC were 62.5% and 131.2% higher respectively. On average the wind speed on the windward side was 53.1% higher than that on the lee-wind side, and the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the chamber at the wind ward side was found to be 52.0% larger than that on the lee ward side. During the experiment period, the overall heating operation time for PC was 39.2% lower compared to other insulation materials. Showing highest energy efficiency, and compared to PC, single-layer glass power consumption was 37.4% higher.

Valve leak accidents in petrochemistry plants and gas utilities cause human and property damage. The main reason why happen gas inhalation, poisoning, fire and explosion accidents is gas valve leakage. To prevent gas leakage, inspectors check the facilities in the field. And they are at risk of gas leak accidents. So we applied IoT-based risk assessment, monitoring and automatic control system. It can detect both internal and external gas leakage, do real-time monitoring of industrial valve in the plant by using hybrid sensor. As the new safety management system for industrial valve is developed, it needs method to evaluate device performance and environmental components for the system. This study is about development of method to verify performance of the explosion-proofed hybrid sensing system include gas detector and optical fiber sensor supporting wire and wireless communication.
Few studies have investigated soil management policy and soil erosion measurement, whereas the occurrence of climate change requires the establishment of robust soil management systems and appropriate control of soil erosion. In this study, we developed a smart sensor for real-time quantitative measurements of soil erosion at the watershed scale. The smart sensor consists of an ultrasonic sensor, a rainfall meter, a solar cell, an RTU (remote terminal unit),and a CDMA (code division multiple access) and it was programmed to take a measurement every 30 minutes. The depths measured by the smart sensor were compared with data from terrestrial LiDAR. Experimental results showed a strong correlation in the depth of soil erosion between LiDAR and the ultrasonic sensor for the period from 22 August to 11 October 2013. Furthermore, the correlation coefficient between soil erosion depth (mm) and soil erosion volume (m3) was 0.9063 in the lower region of the watershed and is 0.9868 in the upper region. The proposed ultrasonic sensor technique can provide high-quality data for soil conservation and management systems in the future.

Needs for Smart Grid development are increasing all over the world as a solution to its problem according to depletion of energy resources, climatic and environmental rapidly change and growing demand for electrical power. Especially decentralized power is attracting world's attention. In this mood a new era for a unit scale of decentralized power environment is on its way in building. However there is a problem to have to be solved in the uniformity of power quality because the amount of power generated from renewable energy resources such as wind power and solar light is very sensitive to climate fluctuation. And thus this paper tries to suggest an energy management method on basis of real time monitoring for meteorological data. In the current situation of lacking in USN-based killer application in Smart Grid field, this paper proposes the USN-based DER management system which collects the meteorological data and control power system througout utilizing wireless sensor network technique this business. This communication technique is regarded to be efficient in aspects of installation cost and tits maintenance cost. The proposed EMS model embodies the method for predicting the power generation by monitoring and analyzing the climatic data and controling the efficient power distribution between the renewable energy and the existing power. The ultimate goal of this paper is to provide the technological basis for achieving zero-energy house.
In line with the trend of industrial innovation, IoT technology utilized in a variety of fields is emerging as a key element in creation of new business models and the provision of user-friendly services through the combination of big data. The accumulated data from devices with the Internet-of-Things (IoT) is being used in many ways to build a convenience-based smart system as it can provide customized intelligent systems through user environment and pattern analysis. Recently, it has been applied to innovation in the public domain and has been using it for smart city and smart transportation, such as solving traffic and crime problems using CCTV. In particular, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the easiness of securing real-time service data and the stability of security when planning underground services or establishing movement amount control information system to enhance citizens' or commuters' convenience in circumstances with the congestion of public transportation such as subways, urban railways, etc. However, previous studies that utilize image data have limitations in reducing the performance of object detection under private issue and abnormal conditions. The IoT device-based sensor data used in this study is free from private issue because it does not require identification for individuals, and can be effectively utilized to build intelligent public services for unspecified people. Especially, sensor data stored by the IoT device need not be identified to an individual, and can be effectively utilized for constructing intelligent public services for many and unspecified people as data free form private issue. We utilize the IoT-based infrared sensor devices for an intelligent pedestrian tracking system in metro service which many people use on a daily basis and temperature data measured by sensors are therein transmitted in real time. The experimental environment for collecting data detected in real time from sensors was established for the equally-spaced midpoints of 4×4 upper parts in the ceiling of subway entrances where the actual movement amount of passengers is high, and it measured the temperature change for objects entering and leaving the detection spots. The measured data have gone through a preprocessing in which the reference values for 16 different areas are set and the difference values between the temperatures in 16 distinct areas and their reference values per unit of time are calculated. This corresponds to the methodology that maximizes movement within the detection area. In addition, the size of the data was increased by 10 times in order to more sensitively reflect the difference in temperature by area. For example, if the temperature data collected from the sensor at a given time were 28.5℃, the data analysis was conducted by changing the value to 285. As above, the data collected from sensors have the characteristics of time series data and image data with 4×4 resolution. Reflecting the characteristics of the measured, preprocessed data, we finally propose a hybrid algorithm that combines CNN in superior performance for image classification and LSTM, especially suitable for analyzing time series data, as referred to CNN-LSTM (Convolutional Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory). In the study, the CNN-LSTM algorithm is used to predict the number of passing persons in one of 4×4 detection areas. We verified the validation of the proposed model by taking performance comparison with other artificial intelligence algorithms such as Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP), Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) and RNN-LSTM (Recurrent Neural Network-Long Short Term Memory). As a result of the experiment, proposed CNN-LSTM hybrid model compared to MLP, LSTM and RNN-LSTM has the best predictive performance. By utilizing the proposed devices and models, it is expected various metro services will be provided with no illegal issue about the personal information such as real-time monitoring of public transport facilities and emergency situation response services on the basis of congestion. However, the data have been collected by selecting one side of the entrances as the subject of analysis, and the data collected for a short period of time have been applied to the prediction. There exists the limitation that the verification of application in other environments needs to be carried out. In the future, it is expected that more reliability will be provided for the proposed model if experimental data is sufficiently collected in various environments or if learning data is further configured by measuring data in other sensors.
In this study, we have developed a drone magnetic exploration system (proto-type) using a fluxgate magnetic sensor. Hardware of the system consists of a fluxgate magnetometer, an inertial measurement unit (IMU), a GPS, and a communication module. And we have developed monitoring software, which enables it to transmit the measured data to the ground control system (GCS) in real time. The measured magnetic data are finally saved as 1 Hz data after passing through a notch filter and a band-pass filter. For verification of this system, a preliminary test was conducted to check the magnetic responses of a magnetic object first, then the field test was carried out in two iron mines. We tested the developed system on the field test in Pocheon, Gyeonggi and Jeongseon, Gangwon. The magnetic data from the developed drone system was very similar to those from unmanned airship system developed by Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM). As a result, preliminary experiment and field test have demonstrated that this system is applicable for outdoor aeromagnetic exploration. It requires more studies to improve filter function and instrument performance to minimize noise in the future.
Network management involves configuring and operating various network elements in a suitable manner. Generally, a network management system can perform basic functionalities such as configuration management, performance management, and fault management. Due to the open structure of the Internet, the volume of network traffic and the network equipment used have increased in size and complexity. Therefore, it is expensive and time consuming to develop a network management program for heterogeneous network equipment in an SNMP.based network. In order to facilitate the management of network environments and the control of heterogeneous devices in an efficient manner, we propose an Active Network Management System (ANMS) comprising an automatic generator that uses triggers to generate a network management program. The concept of triggers can be represented through event condition action rules performed in response to a change in the status of a network environment. The proposed ANMS comprises basic components for real time network management and also includes an automatic generator (AG). When the ANMS is monitoring network elements that are newly added or changed, a trigger rule is activated and these components are then able to collaborate and automatically generate a new network management program by using the information provided along with the SNMP libraries. Our method is useful for expanding the network structure and replacing network equipment. Through experiments, we have proved that our ANMS is useful when new network objects are added or changed in the network environment to expand the network structure. Further, we have verified that our ANMS system reduces the time and cost required to develop a network management program as compared to the manual method used in existing network management systems.
