주행안정성을 고려한 고속철도 콘크리트궤도 레일패드강성 상한값 결정 (Determination of the Upper Limit of Railpad Stiffness in Concrete Track of High-Speed Railways Considering the Running Stability of Train)

  • 본 연구에서는 경부고속철도의 콘크리트궤도에서 열차주행안전측면에서 관리해야할 레일패드강성의 상한값을 차량 및 궤도의 동특성과 운영환경을 고려하여 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 차량과궤도의 상호작용의 해석의 중요 입력파라메타인 궤도틀림과 관련하여 프랑스 및 독일에서 제시한 궤도틀림 PSD(Power Spectral Density)와 경부 1단계구간 콘크리트궤도에서 계측한 궤도틀림 자료를 통하여 얻은 PSD를 기초로 하여 넓은 범위의 주파수영역에서 적용할 수 있는 콘크리트궤도의 궤도틀림 PSD를 제시하였다. 제시된 PSD 기준모델을 사용하여 시간영역에서의 궤도틀림 입력을 Random Generation을 통하여 구한 후 개발된 차량-궤도 상호작용해석 기법을 사용하여 레일패드에 따른 윤중감소율을 산정하였다. 산정된 윤중감소율에 대하여 국내 철도차량 안전기준에 관한 규칙의 탈선계수 규정을 적용하여 주행안전측면에서 허용할 수 있는 레일패드강성의 상한값을 제시하였다.

  • It is important to safety culture in railway industry because they variously refer to the safety-related values, attitudes, beliefs, risk perceptions and behaviours of railway employees. So this study tried to figure out the assessment criteria for safety culture at Korean National Railway. For the achieve the goal, we have the literature review, some assessment criteria have been founded by intensively comparing safety culture questionnaires in other industries to establish domestic railway safety. This study expects Korean railways to become a well-organized that as assessing safety culture with reasonable criteria or requirements.

  • This paper deals with the topical problems of the Life Cycle Costs in connection with the rolling stocks. the LCC philosophy has already entered the third decade. this philosophy contributed towards the new relationship's comprehension between railway vehicle producers' and railway vehicle users' sphere. this leads together to the technical-economical solution convenient for the both sides. In the point of manufacturer, It is said that low operational costs could be reached using a well-designed and structured maintenance program. this is due to the proper technical analysis of critical components that leads to low costs of maintenance and a superior reliability without increasing the capital investment. but, This paper presents both topical experiences with the LCC models for the railways vehicles and also procedures during Life Cycle Costs calculations. In conclusion I want to introduce how to calculate LCC & what kinds of softwares are used based on VVVF EMU vehicle

  • In this paper, a numerical method for analyzing the interactions between train and track is presented. The effect of track irregularity on high speed running trains and track is examined by parametric studies. Two types of vertical track irregularity are considered. The first one is ideally assumed to a sine wave to investigate train and track behaviors with the change of its shape feasibly, The second one is artificially generated from PSD of track irregularity which was established from the measured data on real railways. In the track dynamic model, rail is considered to have a distributed mass and to be supported discretely at sleepers above ballast divided into three layers. Then, the contact between wheel and rail is modeled by a nonlinear Hertzian spring.

  • The Friction Stir Weld (FSW) has been prevailing in the rolling stock manufacturers now a day especially in Europe and Japan, that will be an inevitable welding method in Korean domestic railway industry in the near future. The Welding Institute (TWI) in United Kingdom (UK), who has the right of international patents, invented FSW. To meet the recommendation of Cullen's Report for Ladbroke Grove Rail Inquiry (LGRI) in UK, the FSW is considering for the only alternative welding method to improve the aluminium welding quality, i.e. for improve unzipping defect and crashworthiness on car body in Europe Railways within Railway Safety Research Program.

  • The development of the European railway high speed network brings new problems related to the interoperability across the railways of different countries. The pantograph and the overhead wire form a dynamic coupled system and they affect each other through the contact force. Unfortunately, as the operational speed of a train increases, the vibration of the pantograph and the overhead wire also increases. This may lead to a zero contact force between the pantograph head and the overhead wire, which can results in the loss of contact, arching and abrasion. If the arching and spark happen between the pantograph and the overhead catenary system, the EMI(electro magnetic interface) and noises may occur. After an, the quality of current collection is deteriorated. This paper describes the dynamic response between the pantograph and catenary system by the numerical simulations and predicts the possibility of operating the high speed train in the conventional lines.

  • In this paper, the process of development of resilient sleepers, which improves the train safety, passenger comfort and reduces the noise and vibration, is presented. To optimize the bonding method between elastic pad and PC sleeper, special pad shape like arrow is adopted and is applied in manufacturing. Bonding strength and reduction effects of vibration of the resilient sleepers are experimentally investigated. From the experiment results, it is investigated that the bonding strenth is enough to satisfaction the criteria and the vibration characteristic is also more effective for sleeper with elastic pad than that in ordinary PC form. These results indicate that the elastic pad can reduce possibility of rail-corrugations and thus resulting in the reduction of maintenance costs.

  • This paper is aiming to study of the speed-up of the railway freight services. Recently investment in freight continues to support the growth both traditional and intermodal markets, and will begin to influence newer markets. Railways offer the highest speeds in ground-based transport systems and therefore offer competitive transport times on routes between large cities. In freight transport, top speeds of 100$\∼%$150km/h are competitive with the road transport. The speed of freight railway can be increased in particular by the creation of a network of freight corridors, the speed-up of freight train, and efficient transhipment installations.

  • There are two methodologies to increase transport capacity of railway. The one is to invest railroad equipment or vehicles, and the other is to improve operation efficiency through optimization. All of these is intended to increase transport capacity by improving line capacity So far, we treat line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting tram frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that change dynamically according to operational condition, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. The Purpose of this paper is to present a new line capacity estimation system based on the probability simulation and its applications.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the safety factors of the public transportation and recommend the experimental factors of customer satisfaction. The survey consist of 28 questions of 5 factors about users characteristics on roads, railways, ships, and flights. As a result of multiple regression analysis, we knew that there are three potential factors affecting customer satisfaction. The Factors are named 'expected', 'attitude', 'management', and the variable of factors affect customer satisfaction significantly. Therefore, it is good strategy for effective working to improve customer satisfaction that maintain attitude with safety minds, try to specialized management, and creating expectation for safety considering the difference by the type of public transportation. After considering the meaningful result, for the development of policies for customer satisfaction for safety, we have to consider expected, attitude, and management factors of workers and officials that influence customer safety and try to improve the managerial factors considering the characteristics of their own.
