고속선 귀선전류 측정값 비교 및 분석 (Comparison and Analysis of Return Current Measurement Values on High Speed Line)

  • A method of common earth, which is proposed by French Railway(SNCF) and is applied to high speed railway, minimizes the effect of the traction return current from tracks so that trackside electric devices can be protected and operation and maintenance staffs are kept out from injury in an electric railway environment. According to it, all the new domestic electric railway lines are replaced from existing individual earth method to the common earth method. In this paper, we analyze the correlation between common earth method and traction return current to prove whether the common earth has surely contributed to minimize the effect of the traction return current. The analysis was done based on the measurement of the traction return current at the domestic high speed railway line.

  • The interface link for railway signaling systems is generally point-to-point communication scheme, but there have been several efforts to apply the network technology to these interface link in overseas country. However general Ethernet scheme has several drawbacks, so this scheme cannot meet the very high reliability, safety and real-time properties. To overcome these drawbacks, there have been studies reduction and modeling of data collision probability for this ethernet at the industrial and academic world. Therefore, in this paper we analyzed describe a interface trend using network technology between railway signaling equipments and will describe a major technology and framework of a network for railway signaling system.

  • There are several international standards, established by IEC, for RAMS management of railway system. Those int'l standards are described only total RAMS management, but RAM and safety activities have dissimilar characteristics. In this paper, we suggest the separated RAMS architecture with RAM and safety activity for railway signaling system.

  • 철도신호시스템은 열차의 운행을 책임지는 바이탈한 제어장치로서, 실제 사용 전에 충분한 시험을 통해 그 기능 안전성이 검증되어야 한다. 지금까지는 대부분 실험실에서 시뮬레이터에 의한 개발한 철도신호시스템의 검증을 수행 후 철도현장에 설치하여 다른 장치와 운용성 테스팅 단계를 거치게 된다. 이러한 접근방법은 일부 제한된 범위에서 상호운용성이 검증되고 있어, 보다 체계적인 상호 운용성 검증이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 철도신호시스템의 상호운용성 검증을 위한 단계를 3단계로 제시하고, 각 단계별 검증 방법을 설명한다. 또한 최종단계인 3단계에 적용을 위한 시험방법 및 테스팅 도구를 제안하였다.

  • This paper discuss advanced safety in the railway signaling system. The specified methods and HAZOP about Hazard identification and analysis of railway signalling system were studied, and loss analysis and ALARP model in order to calculate safety as a standard capacity were proposed. It was also resulted from Hazard identification, analysis and evaluation by applying advanced safety to the railway signalling system.

  • The railway signaling system consists of micro-computerized vital devices on board and ground, which are connected to one another by track circuits, and interlocking equipment for route control. Therefore it is important to validate the required functions of developed system and interface between developed signaling systems. To verify the conditions and functions of signaling functions, the laboratory prototype test bench, which consists of personal computers LAN, will be developed. In this paper design of signaling system test-bench for high-speed signaling is described and developed software module are presented.

  • Recent advances in computer technology have brought more dependence on software to train control systems. Hence, the safety assurance of the vital software running on the railway system is very critical task and yet, not many works have been done. While much efforts have been reported to improve electronic hardware's safety, not so much systematic approaches to evaluate software's safety, especially for the vital software running on board train controllers. In this paper, we have developed the static software testing tool for railway signaling, especially Fagan Inspection supporting tool. This static testing tool for railway signaling can be utilized at the assessment phase, and also usefully at the software development stage also. It is anticipated that it will be greatly helpful for the evaluation on the software for railway signalling system.

  • Described in this paper is the software to design of a railway interlocking table, which describes the functional specifications of an interlocking device. Interlocking tables has been designed mainly based on personal expertise among signal engineers. However, this expertise needs to be analyzed with technical uniformity and integrated in an organized system. The proposed software is amount to the signal engineer's expertise, yet a generalization of interlocking reasoning. The algorithm is based on the train route setting principle, and is applicable in solving practical problems by computers. The software was evaluated through man-made and machine-made interlocking tables are compared. The evaluation results proves the software to be effective for computer control of the signaling system as interlocking system with a much improved safety.

전차선로 속도향상에 따른 오버랩 구간(Overlap section) 경간 구성 기법 (Research on Configuration Optimization of Overlap Section in Overhead Catenary System for High-speed Railway)

  • Overhead catenary system of electric railway has overlap sections which devide and tighten trolley wire supplying electric power to train, where current collection performances may become worse according to railway speed-up. Current collection tests conducted at 400 km/h test-bed section of Honam high-speed railway show that balanced line arrangement at overlap section is needed to secure current collection without arc generation between trolley wire and train current collection device. This paper proposes a design procedure of the overlap section to allow for tension increase and uplift of the trolley wires according to railway speed-up. By applying the proposed procedure to the overhead catenary system of Honam high-speed railway, it is suggested that the minimum span length should be 33.2 m for railway speed-up to 350 km/h and 43.7 m for speed-up to 400 km/h.

  • The railway signaling system consists of microcomputerized vital devices on board and ground, which are connected to one another by track circuits, and interlocking equipment for route control, The software plays a major role in these microcomputer-based vital systems. Therefore it is important to design the software and validate the required levels of safety and reliability To verify the conditions and functions of signaling logic, the laboratory prototype test bench, which consists of personal computers, VME system and Ethernet LAN, will be developed. In this paper general design of signaling system test bench for high-speed rail is described and some developed subprogram is presented.
