  • Safety of railroad is result of reliability which is received from test & evaluation of system. Railroad system is consisted of various sub system such as vehicle, supply of electric power, signal, communication, rail track construction, operation. To secure safety of railroad, evaluation about parts, assembly, sub system, whole system etc.. that compose railroad is essential. In this paper, I wish to describe for results that analyze korean tilting vehicle's derailment coefficient developed by national research achievement. Result that evaluation korean tilting vehicle's running safety, verified that secure even if speed-up 30 km/h than operating speed of present in curved line.

  • Test evaluation field of railroad system that safety and reliability are important is to verify basic performances of unit products and system that were producted according to the specifications. Also, it is important works that verify finally in respect to commercialize verifying reliability and safety. As one part of system technology, this field is to construct database based on know-how of accumulated technology till now than high technical idea and, is to construct test evaluation system of railroad system that can utilize the constructed database. According to the necessity, our researchers investigated good measuring system of foreign country and performed research on performance test and evaluation technology of high-speed tilting vehicle that suits to domestic state.

  • From the research which it sees the noise of the high-speed railroad use nation it gave and the vehicle sound arresting tile masturbation which is a sound arresting unit standard it slept and in an environment noise standard side from it classified. The case foreign nation vehicle of the KTX vehicle where vehicle sound arresting from the side the high speed railroad use nations from the open ground with 64-68 dBA are used first of all from domestic and it compares and the efficiency almost is a possibility of knowing the beginning of history box from the interior sound arresting side. Also it will be developed from domestic and to case of the position KHST vehicle the speed 50 km/h is more speed up the KTX vehicle than in spite of the standard which is equal will pay with 350 km/h and it will be having and the possibility the strong point is knowing very from the interior sound arresting side it was. For railroad area along resident at the comfort improvement of the second the environment noise standard which it presents from the nation of most the patronage standard inland conforms in the law standard and the case high speed railroad of the place comparing domestic which is presented is not in spite of still prepared 2004 April commerce is operated standard easily not to be, it appeared with the fact that the speed governing one standard establishment by law is necessary.

  • 철도시스템의 경우에는 구성 시스템이 복잡할 뿐만 아니라 25년 이상 오랜 시간 사용으로 인해 유지보수 활동이 많으며 이에 소요되는 비용 또한 많다. 따라서 철도시스템의 LCC 계산에 있어 얼마나 정확하게 유지보수 비용을 계산하느냐가 관건이라 해도 과언이 아니다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 철도시스템 LCC 모델링 개발의 일환으로 철도차량의 정확한 유지보수 비용을 계산하기 위하여, 규격과 가이드 등 관련 자료의 분석을 통하여 철도차량에 적합한 예방정비와 보수정비에 관련된 유지보수정보 템플릿의 개발 연구를 수행하였으며, 이렇게 제안된 유지보수정보 DB 템플릿에 대한 검증을 위하여, 철도시스템 부품에 대한 전주기 유지보수비용을 계산하였다.

  • Gravel scattering that is generated during operation of high-speed railway vehicle is cause to damage of vehicle such as windows, axle protector and so on. Especially, those are frequently occurred in winter season when snow ice is generated easily. Above all, damage of vehicle windows has not only caused maintenance cost but also increased psychological anxiety of passengers. Various methods such as heating system using copper wire, heating jacket and heating air are applied to remove snow ice generated on the under-body of vehicle. However, the methods require much run-time and man power which can be low effectiveness of work. Therefore, this paper shows that large-area heating system was developed based on heating coat in order to fundamentally prevent snow ice damage on high-speed railway vehicle in the winter season. This system gives users high convenience because that can remotely control the heating system using IoT-based wireless communication. For evaluating the applicability to railroad sites, a field test on an actual high-speed railroad operation was conducted by applying these techniques to the brake cylinder of a high-speed railroad vehicle. From the results, it evaluated how input voltage and electric power per unit area of the heating specimen influences exothermic performance to draw the permit power condition for icing. In the future, if the system developed in the study is applied at the railroad site, it may be used as a technique for preventing all types of damages occurring due to snow ice in winter.

매입형 영구자석 동기전동기를 적용한 전기기계식 제동장치의 비상제동 성능평가 (A Evaluation of Emergency Braking Performance for Electro Mechanical Brake using Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)

  • 본 논문은 전기기계식제동장치(EMB : Electro Mechanical Brake, 이하 EMB)의 제동 압부력(clamping force) 제어방법과 제동시험장비(dynamo test equipment)를 활용한 제동성능 평가결과에 대하여 다룬다. EMB와 관련한 연구는 자동차 분야에서 대부분 수행되었으며, 다양한 제어방법에 대한 정적상태의 압부력 시험결과를 주로 다루고 있으나 본 논문은 동적상태에서의 성능평가를 수행하였다. EMB의 구동을 위해 3상 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기(IPMSM : Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, 이하 IPMSM)가 적용되었으며 유한요소법(FEM : Finite Element Method, 이하 FEM) 해석 소프트웨어인 JMAG을 통하여 설계 및 해석을 수행하였다. EMB의 압부력제어를 위해 전류제어, 속도제어 및 위치제어가 수행되었으며, 전류제어기는 단위전류당 최대토크제어(MTPA : Maximum Torque Per Ampere, 이하 MTPA)가 적용되었다. 제동성능평가는 공압식 제동장치의 비상제동 성능시험 절차와 동일한 방법으로 수행되었으며 시험장비에 설치된 고속철도차량의 차륜을 110 km/h, 230 km/h 및 300 km/h로 회전하는 상태에서 각각의 속도 조건에 따른 EMB의 제동 압부력을 인가하여 감속성능을 확인하였다. 최고속도(300 km/h) 상태에서 비상제동 시험결과는 73초의 시간이 소요되었으며 차세대고속철도차량(HEMU-430X)에 적용된 공압식 제동장치의 성능시험 결과와 비교를 통하여 제동소요 시간 및 감속패턴의 유사함 확인하였다.

  • This study investigates the Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Method for the railroad vehicle. Recently, RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety) is one of the most important issues in the railroad industry. FMECA is prerequisite for the RAMS Analysis, and it is a procedure to identify the potential failure modes and their effects and to reduce or mitigate the critical effects on the system. FMECA is used in various industries and it is specialized in each industry. For instance, MIL-1629a and SAE-J1739 are specialized FMECA method for Military industry and Automotive industry, respectively. Although the railroad industry requires the high reliability system, it does not have a specialized FMECA yet. Thus, in this paper, an FMECA method specialized to the railroad vehicle was proposed through analyses and comparison of the MIL-1629a, SAE-J1739 and IEC-60812 standards.

트라이볼로지 관점에서 철도차량의 경량 제동 디스크와 라이닝의 특성 평가 (Characteristics Evaluation of Light Brake disc and Linning for Railway Vehicle In Terms of Tribology)

  • The brake disc materials for railway vehicle have been mainly used cast-iron. The brake disc and pad should be light, resist to a thermal crack and absorb enough friction energy. In order to satisfy this requirement, aluminum alloy brake disc for railway vehicle has been newly developed. The aluminum itself has not been considered the friction material for railway vehicle. However, in the case of aluminum composite with dispersed ceramic particles, friction characteristics, resistance to wear and heat are much improved. In the present study, aluminum composite brake disc of 20% ceramic particle and three kinds of organic pads have been tested in dynamometer. The results show that Al MMC brake disc and pad have good friction coefficient and wear rate, and thermal cracks in brake disc have not been initiated. Also, the Al MMC brake disc can be applied to railway vehicle of 150 km/h.

  • For the method of train position detection, ground-based train position estimation mainly has been applied so far. Ground-based position detection is the way to detect train current positions by installing train position equipments on railroad lines. However, the ground-based methods should install detection equipments on each section, and can only be able to detect train positions from main command center. So this method has several disadvantages such as an discontinuous position detection, an increment in cost of installation and maintenance. To make possible continuous train position detection, and to minimize amount of the cost, the vehicle-based position detection method should be chosen to determine train positions by loading position equipments on vehicles. In this paper, to realize the vehicle-based train position detection method, configuration scheme of train position detection equipment is suggested by using GPS, inertial sensor, speed sensor and its performance is verified by simulations.
