  • Design standard specifications for structures applied to Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail construction were established in 1991. Those specifications have been changed and supplemented in the process of above construction, and need to improve in accordance with the new criteria for construction works of Korean government. Also, a settlement of the criteria for prevention against disasters of Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail is needed, and related specifications have been revised. The design criteria for Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail are enacted with knowhow which resulted from High Speed Rail construction, and those are enacted for the purpose of establishing criteria for High Speed Rail construction in the inside and outside of Korea.

  • According to the current eligibility criteria in Korea, only cities with populations of more than one million are eligible to carry out urban rail transit construction projects. This paper suggests measures for improving such systems by reviewing current eligibility criteria for the construction of urban rail transit including subway and LRT in Korea.

  • 남북철도 연계를 위해서는 남한과 북한 공히 균형 있는 철도시스템을 구축하여 효율적인 한반도철도망을 구성하는 것이 중요하다. 하지만 남한과 북한이 서로 다른 건설기준을 가지고 있어 남북철도 현대화의 걸림돌로 작용하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 남북한 철도건설기준에 대한 상호비교가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 남북한 철도건설기술 관련 법령을 조사하였고, 특히 남북한의 상이한 철도시스템, 특히 철도시설분야 즉, 궤도, 철도구조물, 전력, 신호분야를 중심으로 한 남북한 철도시스템의 비교분석을 수행하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 북한 철도의 기존선 개량 및 신선 건설에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

누적통과톤수에 의한 국내 레일교체기준의 타당성 평가 (Logicality Estimate for Domestic the Periodic Replacement Criteria of CWR based on Accumulated Passing Tonnage)

  • 본 논문은 누적통과톤수에 의한 레일교체기준 개정을 위한 기초 데이터를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 국외의 누적통과톤수에 의한 레일교체기준의 산정근거를 조사하였으며, 일본에서 조사된 레일용접부 결합유형 및 원인과 국내 철도운영기관인 서울메트로의 궤도유지관리이력을 조사하여 실제 레일절손과 누적통과톤수의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 또한, 누적통과톤수 기준치에 도래한 노후레일 용접부를 현장에서 발췌하여 레일용접부 휨시험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 누적통과톤수와 레일절손간의 상관관계는 뚜렷하지 않았으며 레일용접부의 시공불량에 의한 절손사례가 많은 것으로 분석되었다. 또한, 노후레일휨시험 결과 신규레일용접부에 비해 파괴강도가 $17{\sim}18%$만이 저하된 것으로 나타나 레안교체기준에 도래한 노후레일은 사용성 측면에서 충분한 내구성 및 내하력을 확보하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

Analysis of the Impact LEED-NC Criteria on Appraised Unit Land Value

  • In recent years, LEED-NC (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for New Construction) has become one of the most widely adopted environmental certification systems in the United States. However, according to some researchers, the adoption of the LEED-NC is perceived to add to construction cost and duration compared to conventional building standards. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the economic benefits of LEED-NC to consider how it can be applied worldwide. This study focuses on the impact of LEED-NC on the appraised unit value of parcels in San Francisco County based on the number of LEED-NC Public Transportation Access (PTA) qualified buses, light rail and commuter rail stops, distance to the closest bus, light rail and commuter rail stops, zoning class and parcel size. As a population of interest, San Francisco County was chosen since it is known as a region with well-organized transportation systems including bus, light rail and commuter rail systems. According to the correlation results, this study shows that the appraised land value is significantly affected by LEED-NC PTA, and is correlated to a higher appraised unit value of land parcels.

  • The Korea high-speed rail, based on the French design. It also implements new concept to increase the strength of bridge deck by adding an impact factor (dynamic intensity factor) in static load. In order to assure the dynamic stability, SYSTRA and Jeseph Penzien, a professor in CEC (the US) conducted a dynamic stability review on design phase. Analyzing the review results, they developed design criteria for dynamic behavior. This study deal with operating PSC box GIRDER equipped with measurement equipment or measured data of Seoul $\∼$ Taejeon, P.S.C BOX GIRDER bridge and steel comsition bridge equipped with measurement equipment based on structual knowledge about configuration of measuring sensor, response analysis of structure when train runs was performed by using measured data of PSC box girder to directly compare with design criteria. moreover, the dynamic stability with comparison of high-speed rail construction criteria was reviewed and analyzed based on historical records.

  • Step-by-step laboratory performance test and repetitive improvement of KRRI rail fastening system show that it has the similar capability as other fastening systems that have been globally used. In this study, for the evaluation of field applicability, construction and rolling-stock operation test of KRRI rail fastening system are performed. Through this approach, comparison against the service criteria of foreign countries are made.

  • 2005년 철도구조개혁 시행에 따라 한국철도공사가 출범하였고, 철도운영자가 제공하는 공익서비스비용에 대하여는 철도산업발전기본법 제32조 및 제33조에 의해 원인제공자가 보상토록 규정하고 있다. 이에 따라 공익서비스비용의 보상은 '05년도 처음 시행되었으나, 비용 산정의 적정성 및 기준 미비 등으로 보상규모의 공정성 객관성에 대한 외부기관으로부터 문제가 제기되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내외 유사사례를 검토하고, 공익서비스비용 보상의 주요항목인 벽지노선의 적정한 선정기준 및 비용 산출, 운임감면액 보상범위 등과 관련하여 문제점과 개선방안을 살펴보았다.

  • Active application of auger-drilled piling is expected in Korea considering its advantage in noise and vibration problems against driven piling and its cost-effectiveness in comparison to the cast in-situ piling. The current design practice being used in Korea is adopted from the Japanese one, however the equipment and construction procedure is modified for the geotechnical conditions and construction circumstances in Korea. Therefore there is an urgent need for the establishment of the rational design criteria for the auger-drilled piling in Korea. As the preliminary work for the establishment, this paper presents the current practice in Korean railway constructions. Design criteria of Korea Railway Network Authority are introduced and its characteristics and the problems are described. Application cases of auger-drilled pile to railway construction are introduced as well.

  • In this study we examined the method to select the size of the conductor rail for light rail system. Study results shows that using the conductor rail with lower resistivity requires fewer power substation, which results in lower construction cost. It also produces less copper loss. Therefore first choose the conductor rail with lowest resistivity and select the substation location, Next conduct computer simulation study to confirm it meets voltage requirement. if the minimum voltage is well above the required minimum voltage, substation number can probably be further reduced.
