유연생산 시스템 구축을 위한 공작물 자동교환 유닛의 수평 이송 기구 설계에 관한 연구(파트 2) (A Study on the Design of Horizontal Traverse Units in an Automatic Object Changer Unit to Establish a Flexible Production System (Part 2))

  • The objective of this study is to develop an automatic object changer unit to improve processing problems existed in the conventional horizontal machining center. To achieve this goal, this study designed a horizontal transfer as the second project continued to the first project that designed a upward and downward traverse unit. A horizontal traverse unit shows a symmetric structure and consists of frame, which consists of four unit tools, motor and reducer, which are fixed at a frame, operation unit with pinions, first traverse unit, and second traverse unit. Constraint conditions based on the operation mechanism with these elements were configured and obtained following results after modeling a model for a traverse motor. In the kinematic expression of sliding motion with one degree of freedom, the sliding motion is constrained. Also, the rack 3 installed at a frame is used to configure possible kinematic constraint conditions of the rack 2 according to the rolling motion of the pinion 2 in the first traverse unit. In addition, the moment of inertia that is a type of kinetic energy in a converted horizontal traverse unit in the side of the reducer can be applied to introduce the moment of inertia of a converted horizontal traverse unit in the side of the reducer by using the sum of kinetic energy in the rack and pinion, which is a part of the horizontal traverse unit. Also, the equation of motion of the converted upward and downward traverse unit in the side of the motor using the equation of motion of the motor. Furthermore, the horizontal traverse unit predetermines the mass of the first and second traverse unit and applied load including the radius and reduction ratio of the pitch circle in the pinion 1 and applied load to the rack 2. Then, a proper motor can be determined using several parameters in the upward and downward traverse unit in order to verify such predetermined specifications. In future studies later this study, a simulation that verifies the results of the previous two stages of studies using a finite element method.

플랜트 건설사업의 모듈러 설계대안별 RVI 평가 모델 (Risk based Value Index Evaluation Model for Modular Design Alternatives in Plant Construction Projects)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 플랜트 건설사업에서 모듈러 설계대안에 대한 위험기반의 평가지수를 도출하는 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 이에 따라 ① 기초사업비와 모듈을 적용하는 대상과 범위를 설정하는 단계, ② 설계, 구매, 제작, 운송, 시공업무에 대한 중요도, 편리성, 효율성 지수를 평가하는 단계, ③ 중요 위험사건의 영향에 따른 경제적 손실을 예방하기 위해서 필요한 예비비를 분석하여 총사업비를 추정하는 단계, ④ 모듈 설계대안별로 평가된 관리업무의 효율성 지수와 총사업비를 비교하여 RVI를 도출하는 단계로 구성하였다. 그리고 모델의 사용성을 검증하기 위해서 Module Plan-A는 Pipe Rack을 모듈로 적용하는 경우, Module Plan-B는 Steel Structure, Pipe Rack, Process Module을 모듈로 적용하는 경우로 설정하여 관리업무의 중요도, 편리성, 효율성 지수를 평가하고 위험예비비를 포함하여 총사업비를 추정하였다. 이와 같은 과정으로 모델을 검증한 결과, 1개의 공종에 모듈을 적용한 Module Plan-A 보다 3개의 공종에 모듈을 적용한 Module Plan-B가 관리업무의 효율성은 낮은 것으로 나타났지만, 기초사업비에서 간접비가 절감되어 종합적인 RVI는 높게 평가되었다.

  • 물류창고 화재위험성은 보관물품, 포장재 및 파렛 등의 가연성과 화재하중 그리고 창고 내부 천장높이, 랙크 등의 저장높이와 배치, 통로 폭 등에 따라 결정된다. 물류창고의 소화 또는 진압대책은 이러한 주요 인자를 고려한 가연물 등급 분류기준을 마련하고 스프링클러설비 설계기준을 적용해야 한다. 본 연구는 국내 물류창고의 자동식스프링클러 적용을 위한 첫 단계로서 경기도 소재 5개 물류단지 내 28개 창고 동을 대상으로 수용물품의 분포 및 창고 공간특성을 현장 조사하였다. 아울러 미국 유럽 및 일본의 물품 분류기준을 분석하였으며 이를 통하여 물류창고 수용물품의 등급분류기준 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다.

Seismic characterization of cold formed steel pallet racks

  • Storage racks are used worldwide in industries and commercial outlets due to the advantage of lighter, faster erection and easy alteration of pallet level as required. The studies to understand the behaviour of cold formed steel pallet racks, under seismic action is one of the emerging area of research. The rack consists of perforated uprights and beams with hook-in end connector, which enables the floor height adjustments. The dynamic characteristics of these racks are not well established. This paper presents the dynamic characteristics of 3-D single bay two storey pallet rack system with hook-in end connectors, which is tested on shake table. The sweep sine test and El Centro earthquake acceleration is used to evaluate the seismic performance of the cold formed steel pallet racks. Also an attempt is made to evaluate the realistic dynamic characteristics by using STAAD Pro software. Modal analysis is performed by incorporating the effective moment of inertia of the upright, which considers the effect of presence of perforations and rotational stiffness of the beam-to-upright connection to determine the realistic fundamental frequency of pallet racks, which is required for carrying out the seismic design. Finite element model of the perforated upright section has been developed as a cantilever beam through which effective moment of inertia is evaluated. The stiffness of the hook-in connector is taken from the previous study by Prabha et al. (2010). The results from modal analysis are in good agreement with the respective experimental results.

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 국내 적층형 창고건물의 소방대응력 강화를 위한 제도적 개선방안을 제시함을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법:경기도 소재 창고 화재사례 및 설계사례를 분석하고 11명의 현장대응 소방전문가 집단인터뷰를 수행하였다. 연구결과: 초기소화용 이동식 장비마련, 3면 이상 접근성확보, 내부진입창 설치, 옥외소화설비의 적정배치, 현장정보의 이미지처리, 현장지휘관 인센티브 강화 등을 통한 소방활동 개선방안이 필요하다. 결론: 창고의 규모별 구조별 화재특성 및 위험요인을 고려하여 출동단계 및 현장대응단계별로 효율적인 표준작전절차 및 안전기준을 수립 적용되어야 한다.

기어 치형 설계 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Gear Profile Design Program)

  • In this paper, the gear design program is presented. The profile of gears is created using classical mathematic formulations. In each gear, a kinematic joint is applied and one can define the 20 contact condition between gear pairs. Initial and boundary conditions such as force, torque, velocity, acceleration, etc. can be set. Thus, it is possible to analyze dynamic characteristics of gear pairs such as reaction moment and the variation of angular velocity. In order to find the optimal profile of gear pairs, two optimization methods based on design of experiments are inserted in the program; One is the Taguchi method and the other is the response surface analysis method. To verify the program, the rack & pinion gear is created and analyzed. Simulation results show that the developed program is useful and result data is reliable.

  • This paper presents a design and characteristic analysis of an SRM drive for EPS(Electrically Power Steering) application. A rack mounted EPS system is considered in this paper. A conventional driving room space and mechanical structure are considered in a design stage. In the restricted design conditions, motor parameters are determined for sufficient torque and speed. For the smooth torque generation and simple circuit of power system, 12/8 motor drive is considered. With FEM and magnetic circuit analysis, designed motor is simulated to meet the requirement of specifications. Effectiveness of the suggested SRM drive for EPS application is studied by the drive tests of a prototype motor.

6-시그마 기법을 이용한 고속자동피치가변장치 메커니즘 설계 (Mechanism Design of High Speed Automated Pitch Variation Unit by using 6-Sigma Method)

  • A high speed automated pitch variation unit (HAPU) related to semiconductor category sorting movement of the test handler system was developed. In the design process, 'DMADOV' step of 6-Sigma method has been applied. The design result for the desirable pitch variation was a 3:1 reduction rack-pinion and a linkage which are operated by servomotors. The realization and reliability of the mechanism was obtained at the design stage by FEM analysis, and by robust design using Taguchi orthogonal array against weight and deformation. Finally, the validity of the high speed variation mechanism was confirmed via inspection using a high speed camera while performing pitch variation.

  • 본 논문에서는 ANSYS 소프트웨어를 사용하여 회전시료조사대의 진동특성을 공기중 및 수중에서 평가하였다. 수중에서 진동해석에서 사용된 추가질량은 Blevins가 제시한 수식을 이용하여 계산하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 결과의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 구해진 결과는 이론적인 식을 사용해 구한 결과와 비교하였다. 유체의 추가질량 효과 때문에 회전시료조사대의 고유진동수는 공기 중에서 보다 수중에서 낮아짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 회전시료조사대의 고정에 필요한 클램프를 설계하기 위하여 클램프의 압력에 대한 회전시료조사대의 등가응력 및 변위를 계산하였다.

  • Generally, a working excavator has only one directional bucket tilting angle, which is up-forward. However, side direction rotation of the bucket would allow variety of working output. We designed a hydraulic rotary actuator comprising a double rod hydraulic cylinder with a rack-pinion gear set for use in excavator bucket with side tilting mechanism, thus converting the linear to angular motion. The proposed side tilting rotary actuator was designed with parts suitable for medium size of heavy duty excavator. These mechanical parts were inexpensive to purchase and the manufacturing cost was reasonable. The proposed mechanism is potentially useful for excavator with variety of working output.
