  • 실외에서의 위치추적은 GPS(Global Positioning System) 등의 다양한 방법이 활용가능하다. 하지만 실내에서는 사용이 어려워 비전, RFID 및 Zigbee 등을 활용한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 비교적 비용 효과적으로 구축이 가능한 수동형 RFID 태그를 기반 이동형 로봇의 위치 추적 알고리즘을 제안하도록 한다. 총 7 종의 태그에 대하여 각 태그가 가지고 있는 특성을 실험을 통하여 분석하고 분석한 결과에 따라 태그를 배치하여 효과적으로 로봇의 이동에 따른 위치 추적 및 이동방향 예측방법을 기술한다. 제안하는 방법을 실험실 환경에서 레고 마인드스톰을 활용하여 그 효용성을 나타내도록 한다.

  • 블록 트랜스포터는 조선 산업의 생산필드에서 많은 물류비용과 생산지연비용을 유발시킨다. 이러한 트랜스포터를 효율적으로 운용하기 위해서는 운송경로의 최적화가 필요하고, 운송경로를 최적화하기 위해서는 실시간으로 트랜스포터의 위치를 확인하는 과정이 선행되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 블록 트랜스포터의 위치를 측위하기 위해 모바일 RFID를 이용한 실시간 위치 측위 구현 방법을 제안하였다. 스마트폰에 포함된 모바일 RFID 리더기를 사용하여 트랜스포터에 부착되어 있는 RFID TAG를 인식하여 트랜스포터의 이름 및 하중 정보등을 수신 받고, GPS 및 AP를 이용한 위치측위 정보를 트랜스포터 정보와 함께 서버로 전송한다. 서버로 전송된 정보를 통해 선박 블록 이동을 위한 효율적인 배차를 가능하게 하여 조선 산업 전체 공정에 대한 관리를 강화할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 만성질환을 갖고 있으면서도 일상생활을 하고 있는 만성질환 환자의 응급상황에 대비할 수 있는 u-Health 시스템 구축에 대하여 논한다. USN과 전자청진기, GPS, CDMA 그리고 RFID로 구성된 PHC(Personal Health Care) 장치에 의해 환자의 위급상황이 감지되면 위치정보를 포함한 문자메시지를 병원과 보호자의 모바일 단말기로 전송하여 즉각 대처할 수 있도록 한다. 특히 유비쿼터스 센서로 구성된 기울기/가속도 센서와 진동센서로 부터 수신되는 신호패턴을 분석하여 기절현상 또는 발작 증상과 같은 응급상황 여부를 판단한다. 이 시스템을 항상 주의가 필요한 만성질환자에게 적용시킴으로써 응급 상황에 신속히 대처하여 귀중한 생명을 구할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The field of lightweight cryptography has developed significantly over recent years and many impressive implementation results have been published. However these results are often concerned with a core computation and when it comes to a real implementation there can be significant hidden overheads. In this paper we consider the case of cryptoGPS and we outline a full implementation that has been fabricated in ASIC. Interestingly, the implementation requirements still remain within the typically-cited limits for on-the-tag cryptography.

  • LBS (Location Based Service) services are very useful to our daily life and it should be available inside a building: a huge building, a shopping mall, a large scale underground shopping center, and so on where GPS (Global Positioning System) signal is not available. An LBS which is provided inside a building is called an ILBS (Indoor Location Based Service). One of the most important techniques for ILBS development is indoor positioning. Among the indoor positioning techniques, APs (access points) of WLAN based ones are most economical because WLAN is available almost everywhere. Meanwhile, the web service has been proved to be an excellent practice of software reuse. Therefore, if indoor positioning is provided in the form of web service to programmers then development of ILBS would be greatly accelerated. This paper introduces the AP based trilateration and K-NN indoor positioning and RFID based indoor positioning web services we have developed.

  • The management of construction materials is one of the important administration factor to perform construction projects. If it is not flexible to supply necessary materials to a workplace at a proper time, some problems such as a construction cost increase, an operation delay, a lowering of work efficiency and etc. could occur during the progress of work. Therefore, tracking the precise location of materials is important and necessary to input materials in the accurate place. Although Location sensing techniques comprise GPS, Active Badge, EasyLing and so forth, there are technical limitations to apply these techniques on construction site. Accordingly, in this paper, we propose the technically feasible method to automatically locate materials on site using recent RFID and wireless network technologies.

  • In maritime logistics, a large number of containers are transported to the destination through a port in the form of composite transportation such as ships, trucks, and railways. Logistics parties such as shipping companies and consignors prefer having the real-time information on the entry and exit of the logistics hubs of the freight. Particularly, a port is an important space that connects the maritime and inland areas. Hence, the interest about freight of the logistics party in port is high. This study describes tracking the location of freight by using GPS dynamically based on area type rather than point type. This presents dynamic information of location tracking when the freight enters, exits from, and passes through a certain port area. I suggest a real-time location of the container cargos tracking algorithm in port-entry, port-exit, and port inside using Active IP-RFID technology based on the location tracking algorithm of previous research.

  • Our ocean where three sides are the seas is the state that the environmental pollution damage is serious because of all kinds of wastes. Therefore, environmental pollution will be considerably decreased if we leans forward in the saddle to manage net which is conquering a section equivalent among wastes and will be helpful to marine ecosystem. This study is to develop a fishing net management system identifying nets cast and withdrawn from the vessel The purpose of FNMS is to manage sailing vessels arrival and departure details in order to manage a net abandoned in the ocean, and restrain the occurrence of the wasted net abandoned without permission in the ocean, and prevent environmental pollution and sailing vessels sank in and around the ocean.

  • Localization and its applications are very important area of the mobile robot technology. Especially, accurate localization is needed when we move the mobile robot to the goal position. In indoor cases, Global Positioning System(GPS) is not suitable but Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) technology can provide position data to the robot. A proposed algorithm in this paper uses not only odometry data but also RFID data to improve estimation of true position of the robot with the particle filtering.

  • As technology develops, more advanced technologies involving GPS, GIS, RFID and sensor networks have been adopted in agriculture sector for u-Farm. However, technology adoptions have been evaluated as ineffective. Farmers and agri-business have low level of understanding on technology so it is not efficiently utilized. This study introduces a case of RFID/sensor networks of mushroom farm as a u-Farm case study, focusing on developing a framework for analysis of u-Farm investment returns. RFID and sensor networks improve real-time production control, processing management, and traceability. Integration of RFID and sensor networks leads to innovation into the mushroom farm, reducing labor cost, increasing productivity, and improving quality of the mushroom. The ROI which is used as an indicator of performance indicator is 413%.
