Real Time Endpoint Detection in Plasma Etching Using Decision Making Algorithm (플라즈마 식각 공정에서 의사결정 알고리즘을 이용한 실시간 식각 종료점 검출)

  • The endpoint detection (EPD) is the most important technique in plasma etching process. In plasma etching process, the Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) is usually used to analyze plasma reaction. And Plasma Impedance Monitoring (PIM) system is used to measure the voltage, current, power, and load impedance of the supplied RF power during plasma process. In this paper, a new decision making algorithm is proposed to improve the performance of EPD in SiOx single layer plasma etching. To enhance the accuracy of the endpoint detection, both OES data and PIM data are utilized and a newly proposed decision making algorithm is applied. The proposed method successfully detected endpoint of silicon oxide plasma etching.

  • In this paper, we introduce automatic meter reading system for tap water. The system is composed of automatic meter, router using RF and CDMA network, and data server. This system will easily extend to fire detect, gas, and electric charge meter system. In addition, this system will be used to monitoring a water leak and human which live in solitude. Proposed system is installed at Gimhae-City and Gijang-gun. As a result of the automatic meter reading system for tap water, The leak of water and complain of user is decreased. But The building cost is still an obstacle to expand into entire city.

  • In this paper, we described a design and implementation of a sensor node for environmental monitoring. The main focus of design for sensor nodes is to isolate MCU for treating sensors from the RF module for considering various communication environment. The second is to make the interface between MCU and varity of sensor. In addition, we choose a narrow band communication module, cc1020, for the admittance of Korea government comminication law. We also use a uC/OS-II as an operating system which is famous for 8bit MCUs. We showed that the communication performance is sufficient to use the communication module in a out-door environment through several experiments in that it is possible to transmit between loom distance through experiments in a mountain.

  • The SSPA makes the power level of EIRP up to 16W, and compensates for temperature to the SSPA´s maximum stability. The up and the down converters are dually conversed like as individual synthesizers for selecting of independent transmit-receive transponder. The function of the up-converter is to convert the 70MHz IF signal modulated in the indoor unit modem into a 14.0 ∼ 14.5 GHz Ku-band up-link signal to be sent to the antenna. The down-converter converts the 12.25 ∼ 12.75 GHz Ku-band down-link signal or a trouble malfunction of SSPA may be a fatal factor to operation of the whole satellite communication network.   • The hardware and the software of the prototype telemtry system to monitor the behavior of the fish are designed. This system consistes of five parts I. e. three omni-directional hydrophones, three ultrasonic receivers, a single board computer for the signal processing, two RF transceivers for the data communication, and a personnel computer. The sensitivty of the hydrophones is -170dB(re 1V/$\mu$Pa), the gain and the 3dB receiving bandwidth of the ultrasonic receivers are 115dB and 1500Hz respectively, and the sampling period is 33.3$\mu$sec in the signal processing part. The positioning error of the system using hyperbolic method is estimated to be less than 0.2m in case that the pinger locates inside of the baselines. The perfomance of the system considering a practical use was examined by numerical simulation and a water tank test of a pinger tracking experiment. In results, the system developed in prototype was confirmed that it could be useful for monitoring the behavior of fish in the limited water area.

  • Wireless life signal detecting system is implemented with using the mechanism of Doppler Effect. This system can measure the respiration and heart rates with the periodic movement of skin and muscle near the heart. The system is consisted of antenna, RF transmitter, receiver, and display part. We did use two operating frequencies at 1.9 ㎓ and 10 ㎓. Firstly, the link budget about detecting system is analyzed and the signal detected from the system is compared with electrocardiogram(ECG) of monitor which is using for patient monitoring in hospital. Secondly, the detection of vital sign is also performed according to the different distances, and including behind the wall.

  • A wearable ubiquitous health care monitoring system using integrated ECG and accelerometersensors based on WSN is designed and developed. Wireless sensor network technology is applied for non intrusive healthcare in some wide area coverage with small battery support for RF transmission. We developed wearable devices which are wearable USN node, sensor board and base-station. Low power operating ECG and accelerometer sensor board was integrated to wearable USN node for user's health monitoring. The wearable ubiquitous healthcare monitoring system allows physiological data to be transmitted in wireless sensor network from on body wearable sensor devices to a base-station connected to server PC using IEEE 802.15.4. Physiological data displays and stores on server PC continuously.

  • In this paper, we propose a system that can more precisely identify and monitor the position of the tool used in the assembling workplace such as automobile production. The proposed positioning monitoring system is a combination of UWB communication module and MEMS IMU sensor. Since UWB does not need modulation and demodulation function and has low power density, UWB is widely used in indoor positioning field. However, it may cause positioning error due to errors in RF transmission and reception process, which may cause positioning accuracy. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an algorithm that uses IMU as an auxiliary means to compensate for errors that may occur in positioning using only UWB. The tag and anchor of UWB module measure the transmission / reception time by transmitting signals to each other and then estimate the distance between tag and anchor. The MEMS IMU sensor serves to provide positioning calibration information. The tag, which is a mobile node and attached to a moving tool, measures the three-dimensional position of the tool and transfers the coordinate data to the anchor. Thus, it is possible to confirm whether or not the specific tool is properly used according to the prescribed regulations.

  • In this paper, we propose an Arduino-based plant monitoring system. The proposed system is based on the Arduino platform, using an environmental sensor and a pressure sensor for measuring temperature, humidity and illuminance in order to monitor the state of the environment and the facilities of the plant. Monitoring data are transmitted to a ZigBee coordinator connected to a server through a radio frequency transceiver. When using a pressure sensor and the environment sensor data stored on the host server, checking the pressure in the environment of the plant and equipment is intended to report any alarm status to the administrator. Using a grid line-based key distribution scheme, the authentication node dynamically generates a data key to protect the monitoring information. Applying a ZigBee wireless sensor network does not require additional wiring for the actual implementation of a plant monitoring system. Possible working-environment monitoring of an efficient plant can help analyze the cause of any failure by backtracking the working environment when a failure occurs. In addition, it is easy to expand or add a sensor function using the Arduino platform and an expansion board.

  • In this paper, we propose a system which can display panoramic-stereopic image for tele-operating excavator. the system was implemented by using center-viewpoint corresponding algorithm and image mosaic process. We could obtain remarkable result from the survey among the ex-pert of excavator. We also design a control station with RF transfer module, H.264 codec module and suggested algorithm. Especially, our system shows a superb performance on cubic effect and presence sense of a field of excavating work.
