  • These days, various and tons of education information are rapidly increasing and spreading due to Internet and smart devices usage. Recently, as e-Learning usage increasing, many instructors and students (learners) need to set a goal to maximize learners' result of education and education system efficiency based on big data analytics via online recorded education historical data. In this paper, the author applied Word2Vec algorithm (neural network algorithm) to find similarity among education words and classification by clustering algorithm in order to objectively recognize and analyze online recorded education historical data. When the author applied the Word2Vec algorithm to education words, related-meaning words can be found, classified and get a similar vector values via learning repetition. In addition, through experimental results, the author proved the part of speech (noun, verb, adjective and adverb) have same shortest distance from the centroid by using clustering algorithm.

  • The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is undergoing dramatic changes. Nowadays, much more satellites are transmitting navigation data at more frequencies. A multi-GNSS analysis is performed to improve the positioning accuracy by processing combined observations from different GNSS. The multi-GNSS technique can improve significantly the positioning accuracy. In this paper, we present a combined Global Positioning System (GPS), the GLObal NAvigation Satellite System (GLONASS), the China Satellite Navigation System (BeiDou), and the Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) standard point positioning (SPP) method to exploit all currently available GNSS observations at Mokpo (MKPO) station in South Korea. We also investigate the multi-GNSS data recorded at MKPO reference station. The positioning accuracy is compared with several combinations of the satellite systems. Because of the different frequencies and signal structure of the different GNSS, intersystem biases (ISB) parameters for code observations have to be estimated together with receiver clocks in multi-GNSS SPP. We also present GPS/GLONASS and GPS/BeiDou ISB values estimated by the daily average.

  • Earthquake resistant design is evolutionary, and, although great progress has been made since seismic design was made mandatory by building codes, it is still not completely understood. In this paper, a 10 story steel building is analyzed and its results are compared by applying two different actual ground motions to the structure. 12 sets of Loma Prieta, California, earthquake data which occurred in 1989, and recorded 7.1 on the Richter scale and 9 sets of Valparaiso, Chile, earthquake data which occurred in 1985, and recorded 7.8 on the Richter scale were scaled to zone 2B level of UBC-88. By applying earthquake ground motions which had similar Richter scale magnitude, it was found that the Chile earthquake which had long duration of ground motion affected about twice bigger than that of California earthquake which had relatively short duration of ground motion. In addition to the peak ground motion, the duration of the ground motion is a very important factor in structural design.

  • Sixteen compounds of Neobalanocarpus heimii were successfully identified directly from their plant extract using a triple quadrupole LC-MS/MS system. In order to fulfil the objectives of this work, a series of stilbene oligomers of various degrees of condensation were isolated and their structure are characterized. Out of these, four are resveratrol dimers, three trimers, and nine tetramers. The isolation process was done on a fully automated semi-preparative HPLC system. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of 1D- and 2D-NMR as well as MS data. The mass fragmentation patterns of the compounds were recorded and a retrievable in-house library was built to keep the data. In order to demonstrate the potential of this approach, the polyphenolic crude extract was analysed with the LC-MS/MS system and the MS/MS spectra extracted for each chromatographic peak of interest. The fragmentation patterns were compared with those of anticipated pure compounds that were previously recorded. All compounds were successfully identified. It is therefore believed that the LC-MS/MS potential for dereplication of structurally similar compounds in a crude mixture was thus firmly established.

  • Background: Salivary gland tumors (SGT) are one of the most complex human neoplasms, demonstrating variations in their clinicopathological profile related to racial and geographic differences. Few studies with large samples have been reported in Iran. We here investigated a large group of patients in southern Iran. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective study, all cases of primary epithelial salivary gland tumors, which had been recorded in a 5 years period from 2005-2009, were enrolled. Clinical data such as histopathologic type and site of the lesion as well as patients' age and gender were analyzed. Results: Data of 366 cases of SGTs were recorded. Pleomorphic adenoma (80.2%) and adenoid cystic carcinoma (46.6%) were the most common benign and malignant neoplasms. Male to female ratio (M/F) and the mean age of patients were 1:1.05 and 37.7 for benign tumors while they were 1.2:1 and 50.6 for malignant tumors, respectively. Parotid and minor salivary glands were involved more frequently. Conclusions: Although the salivary gland tumours encountered were similar in most of their characteristics to those reported in other countries, some differences such as relative frequency and age and gender prevalence were discovered. These findings should help surgeons and pathologists for more accurate diagnosis, management and treatment.

  • In recent years, many research revealed plant-insect interactions are becoming unstable because of climate change, human activities and grazing effect. In this work, it is aimed to disclose that how climate of two different years is influencing on insect community at certain locality in Mongolia. The data on the insect community are collected, covering full flowering season from June to August in 2014 and 2015. In order to include all species of insects in Udleg Station, data was collected in three different sites. One of them was around edge of forest, another one was in ungrazed area or inside the fence that has been kept for more than 9 years and last one was in grazed area. Weather was a perceptible difference during two year's study. This climate differences significantly influenced on the insect community. In 2014, overall 305 insect species were recorded, in which 124 insect species in order of Diptera, 44 in Lepidoptera, 33 in Coleoptera, 31 in Hemiptera, and 73 in Hymenoptera were determined. But in 2015, these number of species noticeably decreased, and total 150 insect species were recorded, in which 58 in Diptera, 26 in Lepidoptera, 13 in Coleoptera, 12 in Hemiptera, and 41 in Hymenoptera were determined.

  • For seismic resistant design of critical structures, a dynamic analysis, either response spectrum or time history is frequently required. Owing to the lack of recorded data and the randomness of earthquake ground motion that may be experienced by structure in the future, usually it is difficult to obtain recorded data which fit the requirements (site type, epicenteral distance, etc.) well. Therefore, the artificial seismic records are widely used in seismic designs, verification of seismic capacity and seismic assessment of structures. The purpose of this paper is to develop a numerical method using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and wavelet packet transform in best basis method which is presented for the decomposition of artificial earthquake records consistent with any arbitrarily specified target response spectra requirements. The ground motion has been modeled as a non-stationary process using wavelet packet. This study shows that the procedure using ANN-based models and wavelet packets in best-basis method are applicable to generate artificial earthquakes compatible with any response spectra. Several numerical examples are given to verify the developed model.
