기술제휴의 동기가 하이테크(High-Tech) 기업의 기술제휴 파트너 선정기준, 거버넌스 및 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 거래비용이론과 자원준거이론의 통합적 관점을 중심으로 (A Study on the impact of Technological Alliance Motivation on the Partner Selection Criteria, Governance Structure and Performance of Korean High-Tech Firms' Technological Alliances: A Focus on the Integration of TCE and RBV)

  • 본 연구는 기술제휴 동기의 주요 이론적 배경인 거래비용이론(TCE)과 자원준거이론(RBV)의 기술제휴 파트너 선정기준, 거버넌스, 성과에 대한 설명력을 분석하였다. 기술제휴의 동기인 TCE와 RBV의 통합 분석 관점에서 기술제휴의 각 단계, 즉 기술 제휴 파트너 선정기준, 거버넌스, 성과에 미치는 영향을 측정하였다. 실증연구 결과, 국내 하이테크(High-Tech) 기업의 기술제휴 파트너 선정 시 TCE 관점과 RBV 관점이 복합적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 거버넌스 유형 선택에는 TCE 관점이 보다 설명력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기술제휴의 성과에는 TCE 관점과 RBV 관점모두 관계가 있지만 RBV 관점의 설명력이 다소 큰 것으로 나타났다. 기술제휴 각 단계에 영향을 미치는 양 이론의 세부 변수를 제시하고, 영향을 미치는 원인을 분석하여 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결론에서는 연구결과에 대한 요약과 시사점 및 한계점에 대하여 기술하였다.

A simple and novel equation to estimate the degree of bleeding in haemorrhagic shock: mathematical derivation and preliminary in vivo validation

  • Determining blood loss [100% - RBV (%)] is challenging in the management of haemorrhagic shock. We derived an equation estimating RBV (%) via serial haematocrits (Hct1, Hct2) by fixing infused crystalloid fluid volume (N) as [0.015 × body weight (g)]. Then, we validated it in vivo. Mathematically, the following estimation equation was derived: RBV (%) = 24k / [(Hct1 / Hct2) -1]. For validation, non-ongoing haemorrhagic shock was induced in Sprague-Dawley rats by withdrawing 20.0%-60.0% of their total blood volume (TBV) in 5.0% intervals (n = 9). Hct1 was checked after 10 min and normal saline N cc was infused over 10 min. Hct2 was checked five minutes later. We applied a linear equation to explain RBV (%) with 1 / [(Hct1 / Hct2) -1]. Seven rats losing 30.0%-60.0% of their TBV suffered shock persistently. For them, RBV (%) was updated as 5.67 / [(Hct1 / Hct2) -1] + 32.8 (95% confidence interval [CI] of the slope: 3.14-8.21, p = 0.002, R2 = 0.87). On a Bland-Altman plot, the difference between the estimated and actual RBV was 0.00 ± 4.03%; the 95% CIs of the limits of agreements were included within the pre-determined criterion of validation (< 20%). For rats suffering from persistent, non-ongoing haemorrhagic shock, we derived and validated a simple equation estimating RBV (%). This enables the calculation of blood loss via information on serial haematocrits under a fixed N. Clinical validation is required before utilisation for emergency care of haemorrhagic shock.

  • This paper employs the lens of the resource-based view(RBV) to investigate how firms create competitive advantages through IS outsourcing arrangements. The RBV framework is used to explore how a firm adds value and reaps benefits from IS outsourcing arrangements. The primary finding is that in the process of value creation, the 'absorption' of the managerial and technical capabilities of external vendors is critical. When the client firm is able to absorb and integrate the IT capabilities of outsourcing vendors, these absorbed capabilities in turn become the source of IT competence and competitive advantages $vis-\grave{a}-vis$ the competition.

Biological Effectiveness of Methionine Hydroxy-analogue Calcium Salt in Relation to DL-Methionine in Broiler Chickens

  • Two feeding trials were conducted to assess the relative bioavailability (RBV) of methionine hydroxy analogue calcium salt (MHA-Ca) in comparison to DL-methionine (DL-Met). Male Ross 308 (1-38 days) and Cobb 500 chickens (1-42 days) were used in studies 1 and 2, respectively. Experimental diets based on wheat and soybean meal or sorghum and soybean meal were fed during three phases. In both experiments graded levels of DL-Met and MHA-Ca were supplemented to Met+Cys deficient basal diets. Additionally, in experiment 1, increasing levels of a DL-Met preparation diluted with corn starch to 65% purity (DL-Met65) were supplemented. Birds were kept in floor pens and feed and water were available ad libitum. Body weights and feed consumption were recorded at the beginning and end of the experimental periods and weight gain and feed efficacy were computed subsequently. At the end of the experiments, a number of birds were slaughtered for carcass evaluation (dressing percentage, breast meat yield). Dose response data were analysed by both ANOVA and nonlinear common plateau asymptotic regression. In both experiments birds responded significantly to increasing levels of either methionine source. However, RBV of MHA-Ca compared to DL-Met was markedly (in many cases significantly) below 84%, the value which would have been expected from MHA-Ca's chemical characteristics. Excluding some extremely low RBV figures of trial 2, RBV of MHA-Ca averaged to about 63% in relation to DL-Met. In addition, supplementation of DL-Met65 allowed confirmation of nonlinear common plateau asymptotic regression to be suitable to determine RBV.

중소기업 조직역량이 CSR 및 경영성과에 미치는 영향:선제적 및 반응적 CSR의 매개역할을 중심으로 (The Impact of SME's Organizational Capabilities on CSR and Business Performance:Focused on the Mediating Role of Proactive & Reactive CSR)

  • 최근 기업의 사회적책임(CSR)에 대한 사회로부터의 관심증대와 기업의 지속적 경쟁우위확보를 위한 기업혁신의 중요한 전략적 수단으로 많은 기업들은 CSR을 적극 활용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자원기반관점(RBV) 측면에서 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들과 자발적이고 적극적인 CSR활동인 선제적 CSR, 수동적이고 소극적 CSR활동인 반응적 CSR 및 경영성과 상호간에 미치는 영향관계에 대하여 설문조사를 바탕으로 통계분석기법 등을 활용하여 실증조사 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들은 선제적 CSR과는 유의미한 관계가 존재하였다. 둘째, 선제적 CSR은 경영성과와 유의미한 관계가 있는 반면에 반응적 CSR은 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들은 경영성과에 직접적으로는 영향을 주지는 않으나 가치창조활동인 선제적 CSR활동에 의하여 간접적으로 경영성과로 연결됨을 발견하는 등 기존 자원기반관점(RBV)이론관련 선행연구들과 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 향후 CSR과 자원기반관점이론 연구에 기여할 것으로 본다.

프로젝트 조직자원이 경영성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Project-Based Organizational Resources on the Business Performance)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of project-based organizational resources on the business performance in the resource-based view (RBV) and dynamic capability one and analyze their relationship through an integrated model. The RBV argues that firms get competitive advantages when they have VRIN characterized resources but dynamic capability view argues that RBV has its limitation under volatility so it enables them to obtain competitive advantages in ever changing environments. This study analyzes data collected from 270 survey questionnaires on the project management related staff at the project-based organization among major companies in Korea. The result demonstrates that two project organizational resources on strategic and executional management with VRIN characteristics are found to bring positive effects on the organizational dynamic capabilities and also the dynamic capabilities such as integration & reconfiguration, organizational learning are verified to bring meaningful positive effects on the business performance. On the other hand, unlike previous studies, ambidexterity has quite a weak effect on the business performance. Therefore, we expect that the resources of the project-based organization with VRIN lead to strengthen the firm's business performance through organizational dynamic capabilities and produce high performance through the integrated model of RBV and dynamic capability one. The study has academic meanings that widely confirm the effects and characteristics of main elements of VRIN project organizational resources on the business performance of competitive advantage through the dynamic capabilities of the organization by the regression on the precedent studies regarding the project management resources and their relationship with the VRIO characteristics. The practical implication is that it is preferentially necessary for the organization to obtain VRIN resources and organizational dynamic capabilities, especially organizational learning to have sustainable competitive advantages.

경쟁우위와 의료기관 경영성과 -자원기반관점을 중심으로- (The Influence of Competitive Advantage on Hospital Performance: Focused on Resource-based View(RBV))

  • The study empirically examines the classic hypothesis on resource-based view(RBV) theory, which is the possible relationship between competitive advantage and performance. For the study, we have surveyed 198 hospital administrators in Korea. By testing the hypotheses at conceptual level, a more robust approach, we found that (1) if a hospital possesses and exploits resources and capabilities that are both valuable and rare, it will attain a competitive advantage, and (2) the attaintment of such advantage will enable the hospital to improve its performance. The results may be interest to both academics and practitioners. From an academic standpoint, the study more accurately captures the dynamics of the theory by pairing resources-capabilities as opposed to individual resources or capabilities. From a practitioner perspective, it is suggested that hospital managers need no necessarily seek out novel resources and capabilities, but rather develop novel ways in which to combine those resources and capabilities to which they do have access.

Impacts of E-Intermediary Use on Export Performance: A Resource Based View Perspective

  • The Internet has motivated firms to participate in electronic commerce. With the development of electronic commerce, SMEs (small- and medium-sized enterprises) may be forced to use e-intermediaries in export marketing. This study aims at assessing e-intermediaries in various aspects. Empirical and theoretical studies are conducted to investigate determinants and effects of eintermediary use in export marketing. Based on resource-based view (RBV), the study develops a conceptual model that can address the question of which international competence and export performance are closely related to e-intermediary use by SMEs. Based on literature review and theoretical foundations, this study made four hypotheses. With AMOS, structural equation modeling (SEM) was used for testing four hypotheses. The empirical findings support all hypotheses. Last, this study suggests examining comprehensive internal and external factors in terms of e-intermediary use as an interesting topic for future research.

대안적 인지 이론으로서 '자원 기반 관점'에 대한 이론적 고찰과 시험 적용 (A Theoretical Review and Trial Application of the 'Resources-Based View' (RBV) as an Alternative Cognitive Theory)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 두 가지였다. 첫째는 대안적인 인지 이론으로서 D. Hammer와 그의 동료들이 발전시켜 온 '자원 기반의 관점(RBV)'을 이론적으로 고찰하는 것이고, 둘째는 그것을 대학생들이 계절 변화에 관한 모델을 구성하는 학습 활동을 해석하는 데 적용하여 이론의 유용성을 예시적으로 보이는 것이었다. 이론적인 고찰은 관련 문헌을 탐색하여 이루어졌으며, 그 결과를 세 가지 유형의 자원들-개념적, 인식론적, 실천적 자원-을 중심으로 정리하였다. 시험 적용을 통해 과학 모델은 하나의 전체로서 제안되기보다 참여자들에게서 활성화된 여러 가지 자원들이 결합하는 과정을 통해 구성된다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 활성화된 자원들이 모두 모델에 포함되는 것은 아니었으며, 어떤 개념적 자원들은 과학적인 모델을 구성하는 데 제한점으로 작용하기도 하였다. 과학 교육자들은 학생들이 가지고 있는 자원들에 주의를 기울이고 그에 반응적이어야 하며, 학생들이 자신의 자원을 생산적으로 활용하여 과학을 배울 수 있도록 도와야 한다는 것을 시사점으로 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문의 연구목적은 자원기반관점(RBV)에서 모바일 스마트워크 IT자원을 활용할 때 업무효율성에 미치는 영향을 지각된 유용성을 적용하여 조절효과를 검증하는데 그 의의가 있다. 본 연구는 중다회귀분석으로 가설을 검증한 선행연구에서 더 나아가 지각된 유용성을 조절효과로 설정하여 위계적 회귀분석(Hierarchical regression)을 통해 확장하여 연구하였음에 학문적 의의와 실무적 시사점을 가진다. 연구 결과 지각된 유용성의 조절효과에 따라 모바일 스마트워크 IT자원의 IT인프라는 업무효율성 중 개인업무 효율성과 연대협력업무 효율성에 긍정적 영향을 미치고, 업무어플리케이션은 연대협력업무 효율성에 긍정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 기업과 근로자가 모바일 스마트워크 IT자원이 업무효율성에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있다는 믿음 즉, 지각된 유용성을 가지고 적극적으로 활용한다면 업무효율성과 기업의 경쟁력 강화에 기여할 것이라 기대된다.
