  • For the quality improvement on private security industry, the quality of personnel in private security should be advanced through the systematic training. If the personnel in private security provide an advanced service in applying knowledge and technique to the field when in training, they can obtain the reliability from people. With the point of this side, practical and systematic training is essential to the restoration on the private security industry. The personnel of private security face many people in the field. So they must work with an active concept that can prevent additional crime from behavior suspicions through scientific observation method and systematic inquiry method rather than negative work with providing a friendly service in the field. For conducting this concept, therefore, this study suggested the improvement training program of "Question and Research Guides" from new employee training on existing private security. The scientific observation standard is specifically suggested from the study 'people watching' of Professor Morris, D. and an act contact question from lead technique that US FBI, police, and inspection institute are taking through the feature of human act and 'METT' that is the program for emotion capture training through human minute look is going to be applied on "Question and Research Guides" training. This will provide the educational mood for students with the training content that is available for the practical training program and the real work, and will help to restore the private security industry with obtaining people's reliability through the scientific work and advanced field treatment.

  • This paper describes a natural language question answering system that can be used by students in getting as solution to their queries. Unlike AI question answering system that focus on the generation of new answers, the present system retrieves existing ones from question-answer files. Unlike information retrieval approaches that rely on a purely lexical metric of similarity between query and document, it uses a semantic knowledge base (WordNet) to improve its ability to match question. Paper describes the design and the current implementation of the system as an intelligent tutoring system. Main drawback of the existing tutoring systems is that the computer poses a question to the students and guides them in reaching the solution to the problem. In the present approach, a student asks any question related to the topic and gets a suitable reply. Based on his query, he can either get a direct answer to his question or a set of questions (to a maximum of 3 or 4) which bear the greatest resemblance to the user input. We further analyze-application fields for such kind of a system and discuss the scope for future research in this area.

  • This is a follow-up research of Oh Jae Hwan(2010) aimed to confirm the influence of the educational program of improved question search methods on the duty and job satisfaction of private security guards. For this research, a survey was conducted on a sampling of 170 private security guards living in Seoul and Gyeonggi province, as selected in the research of Oh Jae Hwan(2010). A frequency analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted on the collected data by using the SPSS 15.0. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ value of the reliability of the survey was over 0.800. The analyzed result of the research is as follows. It was found that when there was an increase in the content of educational training of the program there was also an increase in the job satisfaction and performance. This signifies that the contents of the improved educational program includes scientific and systematic techniques such as METT and action promoting questions, the adequately constructed practical skill education allows private guards to have confidence in their duty, the research reflects the current trends and has a high possibility of utilization due to its high relevance to the duties of private security guards.

  • Wide employment of open questions is one of the notable features of Korean elementary school mathematics textbooks based on the national curriculum revised in 2007. This study closely looks into mathematics textbooks and teacher's guides for third and fourth graders in the revised curriculum, and discusses the ways those open questions are being presented and the assumed premises of the presentation. It then points out some problems associated with their contents and format, such as the problems with presentation contexts, question sentence styles, question sequences, and the like. Lastly, it summarizes the research issues for further study on open questions in terms of the meaning of open questions, guidelines for teachers, and the roles of teachers and textbooks.

  • The open inquiry is one of the representative learning approaches for gifted students. However, a gifted student should develop various complicated competencies to succeed in the open inquiry because of its complexity. This study develops a question list in accordance with each stage of inquiry so that the list could provide scaffolding in the process of open inquiry and students develop near-professional competencies and produce distinguished outcomes. For the purpose, we have reviewed various literatures related to research methodologies, academic writings, and learning of inquiry. Based on the review, we identified the open inquiry as cognitive, metacognitive, and sociocultural processes and set up the direction of the development of the question list. We also have elaborated the goals of the open inquiry, provided a model of the stage of inquiry, and developed the guiding question list belonging to each stage. As a discussion, we provided several noteworthy issues in the situation of when the list is used in the teaching of the open inquiry for the gifted.

  • The object of this study is to compare and analyze mathematically gifted and non-gifted elementary students in the family system and career attitude maturity, understand the characteristics of the former, and provide assistance for career education for both groups. The subjects include 145 mathematically gifted elementary students (73 fifth graders, 72 sixth graders) and 167 non-gifted students (78 fifth graders, 89 sixth graders) in G educational agencies. Materials for the experiment include amended family system test and career attitude maturity test. While t-test was conducted to solve the first research question, Pearson's correlation analysis was performed to solve the other one. The research findings were as follows: First, mathematically gifted elementary students, compared to non-gifted students, turned out to have higher rates of the family system and career attitude maturity rate and showed statistically meaningful positive relationship. Second, the lower components of the family system and career attitude maturity, there seems to be no relationship between family-flexibility and finality. However, among other components, there was a level of significance at 5% which shows statistically meaningful positive relationship. In summary, this found that the family system is able to have an effect on the career attitude maturity for both mathematically gifted elementary students and non-gifted students. Hence, it need to be considered the components of family system when the teacher guides mathematically gifted elementary students and non-gifted students associated with their career.
