6시그마 기법을 활용한 ITSM 정착에 관한 사례 연구 : 서비스데스크를 중심으로 (A Case Study on Implementation of ITSM using 6 Sigma Technique Focused on Service Desk)

  • Recently. interests in IT Service Management (ITSM) are increasing internationally as well as domestically. In order to realize the benefits from ITSM, it is necessary to institutionalize it as a culture of the organization through effective change management. One of the most promising approach of effective change management is a Six Sigma technique. In this study, we analyze a success case in which 6 Sigma was applied to Service Desk function which is one of the most important functions of ITSM. Through the analyses, this study aims to propose a feasible and specific approach to institutionalize ITSM. To accomplish the objective. the study analyzed specific methods of application of 6 Sigma to ITSM. performance of the project and future directions based on interview and project document/deliverable review. This study could not provide detailed performance measures due to lack of previous research on this topic and difficulty of obtaining quantitative data. However. this study has contributed to proposing a direction to institutionalize ITSM in organizations by analyzing a feasibility of 6 Sigma in implementing ITSM.

  • System to urinalysis using FT-IR instruments is presented based on fuzzy logic knowledge. Linguistic expressions of the possibility of infection and the importance were quantified and membership functions were determined based on general quantitative criteria. Diseases considered were Diabetes Mellitus, Proteinuria, Microalbuminuria. Glucose, Protein, Albumin, Creatinine in 30 samples were analyzed by the present system, which resulted in 74% accuracy. The simple mathematical formulation of present system would enable an easy implementation in commercial analysis instruments. Also, the identical fuzzy logic can be applied to similar diagnostic environments in general.

Coordinate Expression of Senescence-associated Genes in Both Cotyledon and Petal Development of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.)

  • We investigated expression of cucumber senescence-associated genes (SAGs) from developing cotyledons and flower petals. Several cucumber SAGs have been reported in earlier reports. This is an extension of the previous findings. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR revealed that most of the cucumber SAG transcripts were consistently produced until the organ senescence. These results imply that many cucumber senescence-related genes are still active during the final development stage, playing some executive biological roles, possibly in remobilization of nutrients to the other parts of tissues or organs. These results were used to search for possible functions of senescence-related genes during organ development.

  • Recently designed residence complexes, there is an increasing interest in qualitative and quantitative improvement of not only the primary function of the residence, but also the community facilities designed for the convenience and welfare of its residents. Among such community facilities, an apartment's playground for children still remains in a traditional form and lacks the versatility required to satisfy the needs and interests of modern children, especially an age diverse child population. Therefore, this study intends to analyze the status of children's play facilities as community spaces, analyze the community's satisfaction with them, and suggest alternatives to the limited functions of children's play facilities in order to improve opportunities for neighbors to meet and build a stronger community.

  • Mucociliary transport is one of the essential defensive functions of the airway mucosa. In this paper, the objective and quantitative method of measuring CBF(Ciliary Beat Frequency) was developed based on the image processing method. Microscopic ciliary images are acquired through image processing board inside PC, and data necessary for the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) analysis are extracted. By means of FFT analysis, maximum peak frequencies are found in each divided block of a whole acquired image. Finally using these frequencies, we compose a frequency map showing the spatial distribution of CBF's.

  • Mapping systems using Satellite Imagery has not been well-established compare to conventional Arial Photograph mapping systems. In order for satellite imagery to produce a stable quality of maps, it requires to follow the standard mapping procedures. In this satellite imagery study, we proposed four methods of mapping procedures. Mapping methods were established by generating trial maps and analyzing types of input data and functions of DPW (Digital Photogrammetric Workstation). On quantitative aspect, accuracy of each steps were measured by increasing 2 GCPs each time from the minimum of 6 GCPs. In DLT, with the minimum of 10 points, RMSE is 2 pixels at most. Besides that, interpretation and stereoscopic plotting using KOMPSAT-1 imagery and other simulated imagery was performed. The tests resulted that, for KOMPSAT-1 (6.6m) stereoscopic images, the possibility of interpretation is 44.79% and possibility of stereoscopic plotting is 43.75%. In the other hand, for simulated imagery (1m), the possibility of interpretation is 60.92% and possibility of stereoscopic plotting is 55.18%.

Approximation by Generalized Kantorovich Sampling Type Series

  • In the present article, we analyse the behaviour of a new family of Kantorovich type sampling operators $(K^{\varphi}_wf)_{w>0}$. First, we give a Voronovskaya type theorem for these Kantorovich generalized sampling series and a corresponding quantitative version in terms of the first order of modulus of continuity. Further, we study the order of approximation in $C({\mathbb{R}})$, the set of all uniformly continuous and bounded functions on ${\mathbb{R}}$ for the family $(K^{\varphi}_wf)_{w>0}$. Finally, we give some examples of kernels such as B-spline kernels and the Blackman-Harris kernel to which the theory can be applied.

LC-MS/MS-based Proteomic Analysis to Identify Protein Phosphorylation in Emiliania huxleyi

  • Emiliania huxleyi is a marine phytoplankton that plays a critical role in global carbon and sulfur cycling. The genome of E. huxleyi has been sequenced, and an in-depth proteomic profile of this organism has been reported. This study analyzed the phosphoproteome of E. huxleyi and identified its changes under calcium-limited conditions. A TiO2 microcolumn was used for phosphopeptide enrichment, followed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry analysis. Overall, we identified 7,010 phosphorylated sites on 3,355 phosphopeptides associated with 2,929 phosphoproteins in E. huxleyi. Quantitative analysis revealed changes in the phosphoproteome in E. huxleyi when ambient conditions changed to calcium-limited conditions, notably the phosphorylation of some transporters was altered. This study provides an overview of protein phosphorylation in E. huxleyi and paves the way for further investigations of its biological functions.

  • Sphingolipids and their metabolites are highly bioactive molecules that affect various cellular functions including differentiation, cellular senescence, apoptosis, and proliferation when added exogenously, or elevated intracellularly by turnover of complex sphingolipids or synthesis from de novo pathway. We are investigating the relationship of sphingolipids cycle in apoptosis early events. A new column liquid chromatography- tandem mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS) in combination with multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) method was developed for the rapid, simultaneous and quantitative determination of unambiguous detecting sphingolipids in cells.   • In this paper, we propose a new conjugate gradient method for solving unconstrained optimization models. By using exact and strong Wolfe line searches, the proposed method possesses the sufficient descent condition and global convergence properties. Numerical results show that the proposed method is efficient at small, medium, and large dimensions for the given test functions. In addition, the proposed method was applied to solve practical application problems in portfolio selection.
