We conducted this research for the purpose of examining the effects of organizational culture on service quality and customer satisfaction in the military hospital organizations in Korea. The research samples were collected from employees in 12 military hospitals belonged to the Armed Forces Command. For the analysis we used SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 20.0 program for conducting reliability tests, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation model analysis in order to find the relationship between the variables analyzed. The result of this study shows that the military hospitals in Korea have strong relationship-oriented culture, but weak hierarchy-oriented culture. Among the three groups of military hospitals, innovation-oriented culture and relationship-oriented culture were the strongest in the executive agency hospital group, task-oriented culture was the strongest in the group of the he frontline hospitals and hierarchy-oriented culture was the strongest in the group of the rear area hospitals. It was found that the executive agency hospitals have the strongest service quality and customer satisfaction among the hospital groups analyzed. This research also found that relationship-oriented culture and innovation-oriented culture have a direct positive(+) effect on service quality; hierarchy oriented culture has a direct negative(-) effect on service quality; task oriented culture has a direct positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction, and service quality mediated between organizational culture and customer satisfaction. The findings from this study suggests that implementing the dynamic strategies for organizational culture with focus on service qualities is needed given that customer satisfaction in the military hospitals is highly affected by service quality.
Purpose - Environmental issues, climatic changes, and greenhouse gases are problems to be solved at a global level. With an increased emphasis on the environmental and social responsibility of the management of companies, the manner in which companies approach quality-oriented culture and their individual sustainability management are being discussed as truly important issues to help them secure their competitiveness and growth strategies. This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers not only in expanding their competitive quality-oriented company culture but also in strengthening their sustainability management abilities. This study conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of a quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. Research design, data, and methodology - To verify research models and hypotheses, the study examined 170 companies using a questionnaire survey conducted over six weeks, and involved the performance of data analysis on 146 samples. Questionnaire responses were calibrated based on a Likert scale. The study used the Smart PLS 2.0 program designed for PLS (partial least squares), an analysis instrument of SEM (structural equation modeling). The study then verified empirical research hypotheses working on reliability analysis, validity analysis, factorial analysis, and path analysis. Results - Among the nine hypotheses, four are accepted and the rest are rejected. A quality-oriented company culture focusing on customer-centered management significantly influenced the maintainability management performance of environmental integrity and social responsibility, while economic profitability was dismissed. A process-focused quality-oriented company culture was significantly concerned with economic profitability but not with environmental integrity or social responsibility. A supply-chain cooperative company culture had a significant effect on economic profitability but not on environmental integrity or social responsibility. Conclusion - This study proposes strategic directions to help manufacturers expand their competitive quality-oriented company culture as well as strengthen abilities with sustainability management. It conducts a literature review and empirical research to examine how significantly the variables of quality-oriented company culture, customer-centered management, and process-centered and supply chain management-centered cooperation affect sustainability management performance in relation to economic profitability, environmental integrity, and social responsibility. There are two main conclusions. First, companies should consider the need for social responsibility management and environmental transparent management-focused maintainability management as avenues to create new markets and business, thereby helping the companies secure a reputation for having a customer and process-centered quality-oriented company culture by creating shared values between supply chains and enabling win-win situations through cooperation. Second, we are marching towards a creative win-win era from a society of conflicts and ruptures. Companies should understand that social responsibility management and supply chain management (SCM)-focused cooperation are the foundations of sustainable development, as they try to improve their culture while pursuing both win-win relationships with interested parties and equity in various conflictive relations.
The purpose of this study is to identify the types of nursing organization culture recognized by hospital nurses and to confirm the relationship between these nursing organizational culture and professional quality of life. A convenience sampling method was used to collect data from 216 participants who worked in a university hospital in C city, Chungbuk province. Data were analyzed using SPSS / WIN22.0 program. The significant predictors of Compassion Satisfaction, which is a subdivision of the professional quality of life, include Innovation-oriented culture, marital status, and the relationship - oriented culture. As for secondary traumatic stress, it has the significant predictors such as age, task-oriented culture and hierarchy-oriented culture. Burnout also turns out to be affected by the predictors of relationship - oriented culture, clinical career, and hierarchy-oriented culture. Based on these results, to create a innovation-oriented culture and relation-oriented culture within the organization, it is necessary to develop an intervention program for nurses' recognition change and improvement, in addition, studies that test the clinical effects are needed. In order to secure skilled nurses with rich clinical and career abilities, the working environment and treatment should be improved at the organization level.
Purpose : This study aimed to identify the factors influencing the professional quality of life of intensive care unit (ICU) nurses working in university hospitals. Methods : A survey was conducted on 171 ICU nurses in university hospitals in B City, South Korea. This study used the Professional Quality of Life instrument, which consists of three subscales, namely, compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress. Data were analyzed using stepwise multiple regression analysis. Results : Compassion satisfaction was influenced by resilience, ICU job satisfaction, and innovation-oriented culture, and these variables explained 37.1% of the variance in compassion satisfaction. Burnout was influenced by resilience, a hierarchy-oriented culture, and ICU job satisfaction, and these variables explained 42.9% of the variance in burnout. Secondary traumatic stress was influenced by a task-oriented culture and resilience, and these variables explained 12.5% of the variance in secondary traumatic stress. Conclusion : These findings suggest the importance of improving resilience and job satisfaction to enhance the professional quality of life in ICU nurses. Moreover, creating an innovation-oriented culture rather than a hierarchical and task-oriented culture can effectively improve the professional quality of life of ICU nurses.
This research reviews the characteristics of consumption oriented culture of post modern society and describes the food consumption culture based on the evaluative criteria pattern in eating in Ulsan Metropolitan City. The subjects consisted in 217 full-time housewives and 129 cooks. The evaluative criteria of eating scale with 4 components - the eating atmosphere factor, the preference factor, the quality factor and the table factor- is described and interpreted in the context of consumption oriented culture. 4 clusters were decided through cluster analysis; preference and quality pursuing type, high involvement type, consumerism culture pursuing type and low involvement type. Among socio-economic variables, the evaluative criteria pattern of eating was significantly associated with occupation. The results of factor analysis and cluster analysis proved that the full-time house wives and cooks in Ulsan Metropolitan city showed the propensity to consumption oriented culture in food consumption culture.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine nursing organizational culture and resilience and their effects on quality of nursing service. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted. A convenience sampling method was used to collect data from 199 participants who worked in a tertiary hospital in G city. Demographic and work related variables, quality of nursing service, resilience, and nursing organizational culture were measured using validated self-report questionnaires. Results: All of the participants were women and the majority were staff nurses and single. A statistically significant difference in quality of nursing service was found for age, marital status, educational level, clinical career, position and perceived health status. Age, educational level, clinical career, position, resilience, innovation-oriented culture, relation-oriented culture, and hierarchy-oriented culture were significant predictors of quality of nursing service, explaining 47% of total variance. Among the predictors, resilience was the strongest predictor, followed by innovation-oriented culture, and hierarchy-oriented culture. Conclusion: Findings indicate that quality of nursing service can be improved by raising individual nurse's resilience and advancing nursing organizational culture. Considering the identified factors, researchers and administrators need to develop and provide clinical nurses with a variety of programs to improve the quality of their nursing service.

The quality culture, part of the corporate culture, is an operating philosophy of quality management of the corporation. Ultimately it assures and maintains the customer satisfaction and promotes the customer-oriented corporate management In this paper, to help meet the consumers' diversified demand and prepare the turning point of development of competitive power according to the recent rapid industrial change, proposes the efficient methods of qualify improvement activity based on creation and fixation of quality culture.
Purpose: This article aims 1) to identify key elements for building quality culture, 2) to design and analyze survey data from defense industry companies, and 3) to suggest directions for enhancing quality culture levels. Methods: Key elements and items for a quality culture are derived by investigating related references and using affinity diagram. Questionnaire items to investigate the quality culture level of the organizations are prepared and the survey data on the level of quality culture of military defense companies are analyzed. Results: 1) Descriptive statistical analyses are presented to compare the levels of the six key elements. 2) In each element items with low scores are identified, which should be improved. 3) Among six key elements, 'support 'element shows lowest level. 4) The quality culture level of the small-sized companies are relatively low. Conclusion: 1) To improve the quality culture level of the defense industry companies, it is necessary to provide quality education, to enhance recognition and rewards, and to invest resources for employees' self-development. 2) Small-sized companies can easily be adapted to quality-oriented cultural change if the CEO leadership focuses on quality culture.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of dietary life application according to preferred dietary life education type on quality of life of participants in dietary life education programs and to provide basic data necessary to enhance dietary life education. The results of the analyses conducted to classify the types of preferred dietary life education and types of dietary life application and to verify the validity and reliability of the factors are as follows. In terms of the types of preferred dietary life education, health-oriented type, knowledge-oriented type, and experience-oriented type were derived. In terms of types of dietary life application, proactive application and emotional application were derived. Knowledge-oriented type and experience-oriented type were found to affect proactive application and emotional application in terms of real-life application, and proactive application and emotional application were found to affect quality of life. Therefore, in order to enhance the dietary life education for adults in general, it is necessary to improve accessibility by initiating and promoting various programs along with continuous support from central and local governments. Moreover, in order to increase the real-life application and utilization of such programs, the importance of practical and theoretical education must be recognized, and efforts should be made in training specialized instructors.
