  • New drug discovery and development research enable clinical treatment that saves human life and improves the quality of life, but the possibility of success with new drugs is significantly low despite a long time of 14 to 16 years and a large investment of 2 to 3 trillion won in traditional methods. As artificial intelligence is expected to radically change the new drug development paradigm, artificial intelligence new drug discovery and development projects are underway in various forms of collaboration, such as joint research between global pharmaceutical companies and IT companies, and government-private consortiums. This study uses the TOE framework and the Value-based Adoption Model, and the technical, organizational, and environmental factors that should be considered for the acceptance of AI technology at the level of the new drug research organization are the value of artificial intelligence technology. By analyzing the explanatory power of the relationship between perception and intention to use, it is intended to derive practical implications. Therefore, in this work, we present a research model in which technical, organizational, and environmental factors affecting the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies are mediated by strategic value recognition that takes into account all factors of benefit and sacrifice. Empirical analysis shows that usefulness, technicality, and innovativeness have significantly affected the perceived value of AI drug development systems, and that social influence and technology support infrastructure have significant impact on AI Drug Discovery and Development systems.

  • The Spiritual Care Guide in HospiceㆍPalliative Care is evidence-based and focuses on the universal and integral aspects of human spirituality-such as meaning and purpose, interconnectedness, and transcendence-which go beyond any specific religion. This guide was crafted to improve the spiritual well-being of adult patients aged 19 and older, as well as their families, who are receiving end-of-life care. The provision of spiritual care in hospice and palliative settings aims to assist patients and their families in finding life's meaning and purpose, restoring love and relationships, and helping them come to terms with death while maintaining hope. It is recommended that spiritual needs and the interventions provided are periodically reassessed and evaluated, with the findings recorded. Additionally, hospice and palliative care teams are encouraged to pursue ongoing education and training in spiritual care. Although challenges exist in universally applying this guide across all hospice and palliative care organizations in Korea-due to varying resources and the specific environments of medical institutions-it is significant that the Korean Society for Hospice and Palliative Care has introduced a spiritual care guide poised to enhance the spiritual well-being and quality of care for hospice and palliative care patients.

폐경 여성의 골 건강과 L-ascorbic acid (Bone Health and L-ascorbic acid in Postmenopausal Women)

  • 인간의 평균수명이 연장되면서 폐경 이후 여성의 삶의 질에도 많은 관심을 가지게 되었다. 한국인 여성에서 폐경이 나타나는 시기는 평균적으로 49.7세로 알려져 있으며, 폐경 이후의 삶이 일생의 1/3 이상을 차지하게 되어 주요한 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있다. L-ascorbic acid (AsA)는 생물의 에너지 대사과정에서 필수적인 조효소로 작용하고 있으며, 특히, 골 구성 단백질인 collagen의 합성 및 성숙에 관여하고 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 폐경 여성에서의 AsA와 골 건강에 대해 소개하고자 하였다. AsA는 collagen 생합성에 중요한 인자이며, collagen은 골을 구성하는 단백질로써 골 기질의 석회화를 위해 필요한 물질이므로 골 건강에 대한 AsA의 역할은 대단히 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있다. Collagen 가교는 동물의 성장 과정에서 collagen 섬유의 안정화 및 탄력성을 위해 필요한 것이나, 과잉의 증가는 세포 간 영양소 또는 노폐물의 이동이 억제되어 더욱 노화로 연결되기 쉽다. AsA는 collagen 미숙가교 형성에 환원제로 작용하여 미숙가교를 안정화하여, 미숙가교에서 성숙가교인 pyridinoline이 생성되는 반응을 억제시킨다. 따라서, AsA는 collagen 생합성에 관여하여 골 조직의 건강에 도움을 주는 한편, collagen 가교의 지나친 성숙을 조절하여 폐경 여성에게서 나타날 수 있는 골 관련 문제에 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 추측된다. 이상의 정보는 폐경 여성의 골 건강에 대한 향후 연구에 기초자료로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

소아암환자들을 위한 노래 만들기(Songwriting)의 음악치료적 적용 (Songwriting as Therapy with Pediatric Patients Undergoing Cancer Treatment)

  • 이 연구는 노래 만들기가 소아암을 치료받고 있는 과정중의 어린 환자들에게 어떻게 음악치료적인 목적으로 적용되어왔는지를 보여주는 연구이다. 본 연구자는 소아혈액종양학과에서 음악치료 인턴을 하면서 노래 만들기를 통하여 쉽게 표현하지 못했던 자신들의 생각과 느낌을 표현하는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 노래 만들기를 통해 환자들과 음악치료사가 깊은 믿음을 바탕으로 건강한 치료적 관계가 형성되었으며, 그 관계는 환자가 병원환경에 좀 더 효과적으로 적응할 수 있도록 도와주었다. 본 연구의 사례연구에서는 환자 N이 소아 뇌종양을 치료를 받고 있는 자신의 삶에 대한 감정과 생각들을 노래 만들기를 통해 표현하였으며, 더 나아가 환자 N은 자신의 창조성과 내면의 힘(inner strength)을 자신이 만들어낸 음악을 통해 의식함으로써 자존감을 증진시키게 되었다.

표준 웹 프로토콜 기술을 융합한 참나다례의 대중화 (The Popularization of True Self Tea Ceremony Using the Standard Web Protocol Technology)

  • 현대사회가 산업화, 도시화, 정보화로 풍요로운 삶과 동시에 기계화와 경쟁화로 인간소외와 스트레스로 인하여 자아상실이 발생하여 부적응 현상들이 많이 나타나고 있다. 발생한 부적응을 적응으로 변화하기 위하여 진실한 자신과 참나와의 만남에 노력을 기울여야 한다. 일상생활에서 진실한 자신 참나와의 만남의 도구로서 차는 좋은 역할을 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 차를 진실한 나를 느끼고 이해하기 위하여 다례를 통해서 자신을 존중하고 사랑하는 참나를 만나는 참나다례를 구성하고 대중화를 위하여 표준 웹 프로토콜 기술을 활용한다. 참나다례는 준비단계를 거쳐, 가장 기본적인 다도구를 사용한다. 참나다례는 차와 나를 소통하기 위하여 다도구와 나를 정화하는 단계, 나를 이해하며 차 우리기 단계, 나를 존중하며 차 마시기 단계, 참나를 만나는 단계로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문에서는 참나다례를 구성하고, 표준 웹 프로토콜 기술을 활용하여 참나다례의 대중화를 제안하였다. 표준 웹 프로토콜 기술을 활용하면 이용자의 접근성이 증대되므로 언제 어디서나 참나다례를 접할 수 있다.

일과 삶의 균형과 조직몰입에 관한 연구: 일가치감의 조절효과 (A Study on the Influence of Work-Life Balance on Organizational Commitment: Moderating Effects of Perceived Value of Work(PVW))

  • 본 연구는 일과 삶의 균형이 조직성과에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석한 연구이다. 근로시간이 길고, 휴일의 패턴이 불규칙한 외식산업 종사자들의 일과 삶의 균형에 주목했다. 외식산업 종사자에게 중요한 일과 삶의 균형의 차원을 밝히기 위해 일과 삶의 균형을 일-가정, 일-성장, 일-여가 영역으로 보다 세분화하여 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 그리고 외식산업 경영자들에게 일과 삶의 균형에 관한 전략적 시사점을 제공하고자 일과 삶의 균형이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 대한 일가치감의 조절효과를 분석했다. 부산, 울산, 경남지역의 외식산업 종사자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일과 삶의 균형 차원 중 일-성장균형과 일-여가균형은 조직몰입에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤으나 일-가정균형은 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 종속변수인 조직몰입에 대해서, 독립변수인 일과 삶의 균형과 조절변수인 일가치감의 상호작용효과에서 일-성장균형이 유의한 것으로 나타났으나 독립변수인 일-가정균형, 일-여가균형과 조절 변수인 일가치감의 상호작용효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

Changes in Quality Characteristics of Pork Patties Containing Antioxidative Fish Skin Peptide or Fish Skin Peptide-loaded Nanoliposomes during Refrigerated Storage

  • Marine fish skin peptides (FSP) have been widely studied due to their antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. We aimed to use a natural antioxidant, FSP, to replacing synthetic preservatives in a pork patty model, which is safer for human body. Moreover, nano-liposome technology can be applied for masking the fishy smell and improving the stability of this peptide. Therefore, in this study, the effects of FSP and FSP-loaded liposomes (FSPL) on pork patty were evaluated through the tests of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), color, cooking loss, texture, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN), and the pH value, during 14 d of refrigerated ($4^{\circ}C$) storage. The results showed that all FSP-treated patties had lower TBARS values than control patties, which indicated an inhibitory effect of FSP on lipid oxidation. This effect in the patties depended on the FSP concentration. However, FSPL-treated patties showed significantly higher and undesirable TBARS values compared to the control, and this effect depended on the FSPL concentration. None of the physicochemical results showed remarkable changes except the pH and VBN values. Therefore, this study provides evidence that FSP has great potential to inhibit the lipid oxidation of pork patties and is capable of maintaining the quality and extending the shelf life. However, it is necessary to study the application of FSP treatments greater than 3% to improve the antioxidant effect on pork patties and search for other coating materials and technology to reduce the drawbacks of FSP.

  • Artificial Intelligence has stimulated every aspect of today's life. Human thinking quality is trying to be involved through digital tools in all research areas of the modern era. The education industry is also leveraging artificial intelligence magical power. Uses of digital technologies in pedagogical paradigms are being observed from the last century. The widespread involvement of artificial intelligence starts reshaping the educational landscape. Adaptive learning is an emerging pedagogical technique that uses computer-based algorithms, tools, and technologies for the learning process. These intelligent practices help at each learning curve stage, from content development to student's exam evaluation. The quality of information technology students and professionals training has also improved drastically with the involvement of artificial intelligence systems. In this paper, we will investigate adopted digital methods in the education sector so far. We will focus on intelligent techniques adopted for information technology students and professionals. Our literature review works on our proposed framework that entails four categories. These categories are communication between teacher and student, improved content design for computing course, evaluation of student's performance and intelligent agent. Our research will present the role of artificial intelligence in reshaping the educational process.

현 대한민국 경찰의 수사교육과 미국, 독일 수사기관과의 비교 (The Comparison on the Investigative Training between the Current Korean National Police and the Law Enforcement Agencies of U.S.A. and Germany)

  • In the rapidly changing current society, the Korean National Police(KNP) is facing a lot of demands from the citizens like the protection of subject/victim rights, independence of investigation authority, disclosure of actual truth, and prevention & eradication of crimes. It is widely recognized among the Korean people and the police that the KNP is always standing for the rights of the people and it is high time that the KNP should be restored as the pioneer for the protection of human right. In this situation, the tremendous emphasis is given on the importance of investment in investigative training through the long-term master-plan in order to renovate its constitution, to level up its quality, and to cope with the highly sophisticated crime patterns. Korean police have already shown its outstanding investigative skills of identification of the deceased throughout large cases like Daegu subway arson and tsunami in Southeast Asia. In addition, the skills of cyber crime investigation are highly recognized by foreign law enforcement agencies. However, the investigative skills and abilities are being degraded and the morale of the investigative personnel are falling due to the insufficiently of the finite training budget. Lack of financial support results in the lack of training program and poor training environment, which subsequently leads to the inefficiency of training. Additionally, no long-term budget for fostering specialized investigative agents is allotted. Considering the fact that more than 95% of crimes in Korea are being primarily investigated by the Korean police, we have to understand the importance of the police. By the tremendous investment in investigative training which can lead to the high-quality investigations, the Korean police can ultimately contribute to the protection of safety and life of its people.

도시계획과 환경영향평가 (Environmental Impact Assessment in Urban Planning)

  • Most developing countries are experiencing rapid urbanization and the associated growth of industry and services. Cities are currently absorbing two-thirds of the total population in the developing world. Korea has about 85 percent of urban dwellers. World population will shift from being predominantly rural to predominantly urban around the turn of the century. Although cities play a key role in development process and make more than a proportionate contribution to national economic growth, especially cities are also the main catalysts of economic growth in developing countries, they can also be unhealthy, inefficient, and inequitable places to live. Most developing countries are increasingly unable to provide basic environmental infrastructure and services, whether in the megacities or in secondary urban centers. Of particular concern is the strain on natural resources brought by the increasing number of people, cars, and factories. They are generating ever greater amounts of urban wastes and emissions. They also exceed the capacity of regulatory authorities to control them and of nature to assimilate them. The environmental consequences are translated into direct negative impacts on human health, the quality of life, the productivity of the city, and the surrounding ecosystems. Environmental degradation threatens the long tenn availability and quality of natural resources critical to economic growth. Cities, with their higher and growing per capita energy use for domestic, industrial, and transport purpose also contribute a disproportionate share of the emission leading to global warming and acid rain. An important priority is to develop strategic approaches for managing the urban environment. The design of appropriate and lasting strategic responses requires first an understanding of the underlying causes of urban environmental deterioration, it is necessary that longer tenn objectives should be set for urban area to avoid irreversible ecological damage and to ensure lasting economic development. As a means to the preventive policies against the adverse effect, environmental impact assessment (EIA) serve to identify a project's possible environmental consequences early enough to allow their being taken into consideration in the decision making process for urban planning. This paper describes some considerations of EIA for urban planning-scoping, assessment process, measurement and prediction of impacts, pollution controls and supervision, and system planning for environmental preservation.
