A Quality Data Mining System in TFT-LCD Industry (TFT-LCD 산업에서의 품질마이닝 시스템)

  • Data mining is a useful tool for analyzing data from different perspectives and for summarizing them into useful information. Recently, the data mining methods are applied to solving quality problems of the manufacturing processes. This paper discusses the problems of construction of a quality mining system, which is based on the various data mining methods. The quality mining system includes recipe optimization, significant difference test, finding critical processes, forecasting the yield. The contents and system of this paper are focused on the TFT-LCD manufacturing process. We also provide some illustrative field examples of the quality mining system.

  • As the competition between countries has become higher and the notion of software quality has been widely spread. it has been necessary to develop technologies that can ensure and produce high quality software. With the advent of information-oriented society. quality control has to transfer to the quality control activities focused on software system instead of those activities focused on hardware system. If so, how do we get to handle the quality control on the basis of the new approach. Also, as software applications have grown. so too has the importance of software quality. In order to manage software quality, the technology to specify and evaluate both the software product quality and development process quality objectively quantitatively is most important. To produce products of good quality, we need a more progressive quality control system according to the need of software development life cycle. In other words, we do software right the first time or build quality in the process. On the basis intermediate and final time or build quality in the process. On the basis of data achieved, we can evaluate the products according to the consequences of the data, What are the problems to contrive the software quality control system?, we con promote the quality of products. To achieved that goal, we con provide a suitable the technique and method of software quality control.

  • A prerequisite for improving the quality of a product is to enhance the quality of its parts supplied from outsourced enterprises. An enterprise certified by ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to develop their effective quality assurance system and maintain it through continuous control and improvement, thereby ensuring the good quality of products that they produce. However, it is reported that small and medium-sized enterprises certified by ISO 9001 have difficulty establishing an effective quality assurance system. This study aims to propose a new method of improving a quality assurance system that can be more effective in small and medium-sized enterprises. This study collectively considered requirements specified in several international standards on quality system and the results of expert group brainstorming to identify evaluation areas and items for assessing a quality assurance system. Based on these evaluation areas and items, a set of checklists for diagnosing and improving a quality assurance system was developed. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, this study applied it to ten small and medium-sized enterprises and could identify four approaches for improving their current quality assurance system. The presented improvement method, which consists of establishment of quality goals and quality innovation plan, defective products corrective activities, 4M and design change process, improvement of customer quality information management, is expected to be utilized as a useful tool for the enhancement of the quality assurance system of small and medium-sized enterprises.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of assessment and compensation system, information technology, knowledge quality, and knowledge management activities on the earthquake disaster management job performance. Method: Questionnaire survey was performed for the fire officials, and the multi-regression analysis for surveyed data was statistically performed by using SPSS 25.0 program. Result: Information technology, knowledge quality and knowledge management activities among the factors of the knowledge management system related to earthquake disasters have had significant positive effects on the earthquake disaster management job performance, but assessment and compensation system are found to have no significant effects on the earthquake disaster management job performance. Conclusion: It was confirmed that the higher the level of information technology, knowledge quality and knowledge management activities related to earthquake disasters, the higher the disaster management job performance.

  • Internet shoppers interact with Internet shopping mall systems while they shop. To understand why Internet shoppers make purchase, this study view Internet shopping malls as information systems. Although this view point seems reasonable, little previous studies employing this perspective are found in the relevant literature. This study develops a research model where Internet shoppers' transaction intentions are affected by the mediating effects of trust and satisfaction. Trust can mitigate uncertainty of the e-commerce environment for consumers, and satisfaction is widely used to measure the effectiveness of information systems. Therefore, we consider them as key elements in this study. We further employ the construct of website quality to explain why shoppers have different levels of trust and satisfaction. We classify website quality into information quality, system quality. and design quality. We collected 282 survey responses from Internet shoppers who have prior experiences with Internet shopping malls to purchase a product or service. The survey data are used to empirically test the proposed nine research hypotheses using LISREL. The LISREL results indicate that information quality and design quality have significant impact on both satisfaction and trust, while system quality has little relation to trust level. Further, trust is shown to have significant influence on satisfaction. Finally. both trust and satisfaction is strongly related to the future transaction intention.

  • Companies had to be more intelligent in order to survive in the rapidly changing environments. We need to make a decision to build the Information System to support their decision making. But, how can we know the new system would be better than the old system in making us intelligent? The answer is we can do it with the concept of Intelligence Density. In this study, Intelligence Density concept will be introduced, and the way how it can be applied to the information system will be presented. Selection Criteria of Target Systems for Quality Management of National Defense Data (국방데이터 품질관리를 위한 대상 체계 선정 기준)

  • In principle, data from all databases and systems managed by the Ministry of Defense or public institutions must be guaranteed to have a certain level of quality or higher, but since most information systems are built and operated, data quality management for all systems is realistically limited. Most defense data is not disclosed due to the nature of the work, and many systems are strategically developed or integrated and managed by the military depending on the need and importance of the work. In addition, many types of data that require data quality management are being accumulated and generated, such as sensor data generated from weapon systems, unstructured data, and artificial intelligence learning data. However, there is no data quality management guide for defense data and a guide for selecting quality control targets, and the selection criteria are ambiguous to select databases and systems for quality control of defense data according to the standards of the public data quality management manual. Depends on the person in charge. Therefore, this paper proposes criteria for selecting a target system for quality control of defense data, and describes the relationship between the proposed selection criteria and the selection criteria in the existing manual.

A Study for Building Service Quality Information System(SQIS) (서비스품질 정보시스템(SQIS) 설계에 관한 연구)

  • As service firms continue to seek unique sources of sustainable competitive advantage, service quality has been discussed as a potential alternative to traditional skills and sources. The information of customers is generally believed to be a key component in creating corporate responsiveness to customer requests. In order to develop and maintain long-term close relationships with customers, service firms need to build an effective and ongoing service qualify information system(SQIS). Service firms that formally collect customer-related information and internal service quality information were to be more responsive. Accordingly, the purpose of the present study is twofold. 1. How to get the information on the service quality. 2. How to build a SQIS. An analysis is conducted of SQIS into input, process and output staging. One of numerous examples from financial service-sector firms is given to show SQIS can be developed to improve service qualify. Implications and strategies for building an effective SQIS for financial service-sector firms are discussed, and directions for future research are indicated.
