  • Contamination of industrial sites has happened by a variety compounds. Petroleum hydrocarbons, which are readily biodegradable, are reported principle contaminats in most industrial sites. Therefore, the use of biological processes will be a promising technology for remediation of industrial sites. This paper addresses the possible use of biological processes in remediation of contaminated industrial sites and discusses the background and main streams of the process. The paper also characterizes representative biological systems developed for application.

  • This paper proposes performance measurement method of quality small-group activity in business. This paper collects and analyzes quality circle activities data respect to tangible and intangible effect in national quality circles competitions festival. This paper proposes QPI (quality-circle performance index) based on Balanced Scorecard for quality small-group activity in quality improvement area. QPI is to measure the performance of quality improvement activities in the business firms. QPI is able to use widely in industries to provide a performance measure of quality small-group activity. In this paper, we propose the application method of QPl.

인터넷쇼핑몰 이용에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (Determinants of using internet shopping malls)

  • This study was examined empirically the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables to use internet shopping malls. Exogenous variables in our model are retrieval simpleness, quality of order treatment, web reputation, update and system quality and endogenous variables are perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and intention of using internet shopping malls. The results of the path analysis are shown as follows. All exogenous variables have a direct effect on perceived ease of use while both retrieval simpleness and update has a direct effect on perceived usefulness. The perceived ease of use has a direct effect on the intention of using internet shopping malls and has a indirect effect on the intention through perceived usefulness. Especially, web reputation among the exogenous variables has the strongest impact on the perceived ease of use and retrieval has the strongest impact on the perceived usefulness.

충북 지역 일부 대학생에서 영양표시와 영양강조표시 이용에 따른 식사의 질과 영양상태 평가 연구- 영양지수를 이용하여 (Evaluation of Dietary Quality and Nutritional Status according to the Use of Nutrition Labeling and Nutrition Claims among University Students in Chungbuk Area - Based on Nutrition Quotient)

  • Objectives: The study examined the status on the use of nutrition labeling and nutrition claims among university students as well as the diet quality and nutritional status using the nutrition quotient (NQ) according to the use of nutrition labeling and claims. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on university students (86 males and 131 females) from March to April in 2019 in Chungbuk area. Results: The percentage of subjects who reported that they recognized nutrition labeling was 80.2% of the total, and 63.8% of them indicated that they used nutrition labeling for their food choices. In addition, 22.6% of the total subjects said that they used nutrition claims. The group of subjects using nutrition labeling showed significantly higher mean scores in balance (P < 0.01), diversity (P < 0.05), moderation (P < 0.01), and dietary behavior (P < 0.001) along with higher mean NQ score (P < 0.001) compared to the group not using nutrition labeling. The group using nutrition claims had significantly higher mean scores in balance (P < 0.001), diversity (P < 0.01), moderation (P < 0.001), and dietary behavior (P < 0.001) as well as total NQ scores (P < 0.001) compared to the group not using nutrition claims. The group of subjects using both nutrition labeling and nutrition claims showed significantly higher mean NQ scores than the group of subjects using either nutrition labeling or nutrition claims (P < 0.05). Conclusions: In this study, university students' use of nutrition labeling and nutrition claims appeared to be related to their diet quality and nutritional status.

팔당 상수원 토지이용규제 정책의 문제점과 개선방안 (A Diagnosis of Land Use Regulation Policy in Paldang Lake)

  • This paper pointed out major problems of land use regulation policy surrounding Paldang Lake as follows: (1) inefficient management system, (2) inconsistent administrative management, (3) illogical selection of regulated area, (4) contradictory present system, and (5) controversial discharge control. Several regulation laws for the land-use surrounding Paldang Lake caused confusion of application and inefficiency of management. Amendment of regulation laws made it possible that the regulated area was developed, which resulted in the deterioration of water quality. In addition, successive regulations without scientific implementation overexpanded regulated area and focus on the discharge concentration of contaminated sources stimulated development of small size sources. To overcome these problems, we suggested reestablishment of regulated area, differentiation of regulation amendments, and flexibility in the application of regulation. It is necessary to arrange regulated area based on the efficient land use management and scientific implementation and then to mitigate land use regulation under the sustainable development. For the flexible application of regulation, it is required to amend the rule in response to the change of environmental condition and development of environmental techniques.

Antioxidant and Bioactive Films to Enhance Food Quality and Phytochemical Production during Ripening

  • Antioxidant films are one active packaging technology that can extend food shelf-life through preventing lipid oxidation, stabilizing color, maintaining sensory properties and delaying microbial growth in foods. Because raw, fresh and minimal processed foods are more perishable during storage or under display conditions than further processed foods, they rapidly lose their original quality. Foods are susceptible to physical, chemical, and biochemical hazards to which packaging films can be effective barriers. Although films incorporated natural (tocopherols, flavonoids and phenolic acids) or synthetic antioxidants (BHT, BHA, TBHQ, propyl gallate) have been extensively tested to improve quality and safety of various foods, food applications require addressing issues such as physical properties, chemical action, cost, and legal approval. Increased interest in natural antioxidants as substitutes for synthetic antioxidants has triggered research on use of the new natural antioxidants in films and coatings. Use of new components (phytochemicals) as film additives can improve food quality and human health. The biosynthesis of plant phenolics can potentially be optimized by active coatings on harvested fruits and vegetables. These coatings can trigger the plants natural proline-linked pentose phosphate pathway to increase the phenolic contents and maintain overall plant tissue quality. This alternate metabolic pathway has been proposed by Dr. K. Shetty and is supported by numerous studies. A new generation of active food films will not only preserve the food, but increase food's nutritional quality by optimizing raw food biochemical production of phytochemicals.

Predicting the Application of Huawei Augmented Reality on Media Façade: Using the TAM Model

  • In recent years, large-scale and high-density use of LED on facades has exposed some disadvantages, such as light pollution, high energy consumption, unsustainability, and poor interactivity. Because of the development of smartphones and augmented reality (AR), AR has emerged as a new technology available to users to interact with the media façade. As an augmented reality app for public space, the AR map app can superimpose virtual images on the surface of a building to form an AR media façade, which can be applied in the fields of navigation, advertising, interactive public art, smart retail, etc. This study establishes the variables influencing usage intention and the consequent outcomes of Huawei AR map app and uses the technology acceptance model (TAM) to discuss their relationship. Results show that consumer innovativeness, information quality, and design quality have a strong influence on perceived ease of use. Information quality has a positive impact on perceived usefulness, but design quality has a weak influence. Also, the design quality of Huawei AR map app and consumer innovativeness have a higher effect on perceived enjoyment than information quality. Users' usage attitude and perceived usefulness when using Huawei AR map app are key factors determining their usage intention. This study inspires city planners, architects, developers, and designers of AR apps that augmented reality can partly replace media façade, and that investment in augmented reality will achieve significant sustainable economic and social benefits.

중년층의 구강건강교육경험에 따른 구강건강신념, 구강효능감, 구강위생용품사용, 삶의 질과의 관련성 (Oral Health Beliefs According to Oral Health Education Experiences of Middle-aged People, Oral Efficacy, Use of Oral Hygiene Products, relationship with Quality of Life)

  • 본 연구는 구강건강교육경험과 구강건강신념, 구강효능감, 구강위생용품사용 실천, 삶의 질과의 관련성을 규명하고자 경상남도 내에 거주하는 40·50대 184명을 최종 분석하였다. 그 결과 구강건강교육에 따른 구강효능감과 구강위생용품사용 실천에서 교육 경험이 있는 경우 구강효능감과 구강위생용품사용 실천, 삶의 질이 높았다. 구강건강신념과 구강효능감, 구강위생용품사용 실천, 삶의 질 간의 상관관계에서 구강건강신념 중 불안의 성향을 가진 민감성과 심각성이 높을 때 구강효능감과 삶의 질이 낮은 것을 볼 수 있었고, 중요성과 장애, 유익성이 높을 때는 구강효능감과 삶의 질이 높음을 볼 수 있었다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 중년의 구강건강관리를 위해서는 대상자별 맞춤 교육 프로그램을 개발하여 지속적이고 장기적인 반복 교육이 필요하며 추후 프로그램 개발을 통해 적용효과에 대한 연구가 필요할 것이다

IPA를 활용한 제품사용설명서의 작성원칙에 대한 소비자 중요도-만족도 분석 (Consumer Importance-Performance Analysis on Writing Rules of Product User Guide Using IPA)

  • Purpose: This study examined the importance and satisfaction of consumer's perception of the information delivery format of products and services required and recommended by KS A ISO / IEC Guide 13: 2003 and KS A ISO / IEC Guide 37: 2003. Methods: In this study, the importance and satisfaction of clarity, principles of information transfer, how to use expressions and technical terms, and technical terms, warning signs, and durability were investigated. Results: The t-test analysis of the importance and satisfaction of the Writing Rules of the product user guide showed that all items had statistically significant differences. The importance of the writing rules of the product user guide for the use of the product was in the order of warning signs (4.423), how to use expressions and technical terms (4.215), principles of information transfer (4.163), clarity (3.914), and finally durability (3.851). Conclusion: Among the 'explanation,' 'instruction' and 'warning' functions of the Product User Guide, the consumer uses the manual to identify the inherent dangers and misuse of the product. Besides, since the life of the product is prolonged, the Product User Guide also needs to improve the quality of the cover or paper so that it can use for a long time.

UHDTV서비스 수용 요인 연구 (Factors of Influencing on UHDTV Acceptance)

  • 본 연구에서는 UHDTV서비스 이용의사에 영향을 미치는 요인들에 대해 살펴보았다. 연구방법은 기술수용 모델을 중심으로 연구모형을 설계하고 구조방정식 분석을 실시했다. 독립변수로는 인지된 품질, 가격 민감도, 혁신성, 매개변수로는 인지된 유용성과 인지된 사용용이성, 종속변수로는 이용의사를 설정했다. 설문조사는 인터넷과 스마트폰을 통하여 실시하였으며 빈도분석 및 기술통계분석은 SPSS, 연구의 모형 분석과 가설 검증은 PLS를 사용하였다. 연구결과, 독립변수인 인지된 품질과 가격 민감도는 각각 매개변수인 인지된 유용성, 인지된 사용용이성을 통해 UHDTV의 이용의사에 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 혁신성의 경우, 매개변수인 인지된 사용용이성에는 유의미한 정의 영향을 미치는 반면 인지된 유용성에는 유의미한 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 사용자들은 UHDTV를 혁신적인 신기술 혹은 뉴미디어로 생각하기보다 아직까지 기존 TV의 연장선으로 간주하는 것으로 해석된다. 또 인지된 품질은 다른 요인에 비해 영향력이 큰 편으로, 사용자들의 양질의 UHD콘텐츠 수요를 반영한다.
