  • In an open, heterogeneous environment based on machine-to-machine (M2M) interactions, service selection is a critical issue and the concept of social trust can be applied to service selection so that IoT devices can make the best choice for interaction. In this paper, we propose a method for evaluating the trust level of the service and for estimating the QoS of the composite service using a profile created based on social trust relationship in IoT environment. As the service selection is made through quantitative evaluation, it is expected that the result of a more reliable service combination can be obtained.

  • As the Internet Protocol be widely/rapidly used in packet communication, common carriers are providing the multimedia service(Both direction real-time voice, video conference, remote educational etc.)on the Internet. Also the 070 VoIP (Voice over IP) service is provided by the carriers on the packer network. In order to offer VoIP service in Korea, common carrier has to acquire the optimum level for QoS(quality of service). In this paper, we study on CODEC quality to get a higher QoS for VoIP.

  • Tactical communication environment evolving for the purpose of providing services such as voice, video and text based on ALL-IP. Therefore, To be able to guarantee QoS level which meets the required level of subscriber for these services in the constrained tactical communication infrastructure, it is required to take the characteristics such as wireless transmission link, mobility of troops or personal into service quality scheme. In this paper, to support differentiated QoS for each individual or mission in the tactical communication environment, we presents a technique that can provide same QoS level which was served originally regardless of the situation to user's move through dynamically determining the QoS level to be provided at the time of the service request on VoIP-Switch.

  • Historically, IP-based internets have been able to provide a simple best-effort delivery service to all applications they carry. Best effort treats all packets equally, with no service level, packet loss, and delay. The best-effort style has generally worked One. But the needs of users have changed. The want to use the new real-time multimedia, and multicasting applications. Thus, there is a strong need to be able to support a variety of traffic with a variety of quality-or-service requirements, within the TCP/IP architecture. This paper propose a framework that offers QoS in a DS domain using dynamic node setting method.

  • In this paper, we investigate the scheduling algorithm of router system for Internet services on large scale ATM networks based on the quality-of-service(QoS) level of the input source traffics. We suggest an approprite scheduling algorithm in order to satisfy their QoS requirements. For this purpose, we first study the service requirements of the multiplexer in Internet. Second, we suggest functional architecture of the multiplexer for real time services and the scheduling algorithm to satisfy various QoS requirements. Finally, the performance measures of interest, namely steady-state average delay time and fairness of network resources, are discussed by simulation results.

  • Any future heterogeneous overlay network system must be able to support ubiquitous access across multiple wireless networks. To coordinate these diverse network environments, one challenging task is a call admission decision among different types of network. In this paper, we propose a new call admission control scheme to provide quality of service (QoS) while ensuring system efficiency. Based on the interplay between network structure and dynamics, we estimate the network's QoS level and adjust the service price adaptively with the aim of maximizing the network performance. A simulation shows that the proposed scheme can approximate an optimized solution while ensuring a well-balanced network performance in widely different network environments.

  • Measurement of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters and its statistical analysis becomes a key issue for Mobile WiMAX service providers to manage the converged network efficiently and to support end-to-end QoS. In this paper, we investigate the population distribution of end-to-end one-way delay which is the most important QoS parameter in Mobile WiMAX networks. The samples are analyzed with Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S), and Anderson-Darling (A-D) test to verify the distribution of parent population. The relation with confidence level and the minimum number of sample size is also performed for logistic distribution. The statistical analysis is a promising approach for measuring the performance Mobile WiMAX networks.
