Various antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) from microalgae have shown antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anticancer, and antioxidant effects, and play crucial roles in medical applications, aquaculture-related disease management, and the food industry. Magainin 2 (MAG2), an AMP, exhibits high antibacterial and antitumor activity, necessitating an efficient recombinant expression system for low-cost, large-scale production. To enhance MAG2 secretion efficiency in Chlorella, we constructed the SS:MAG2:His vector using the known Chlamydomonas reinhardtii CA1 signal sequence (SS) and obtained a stable transformant via an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation method and RT-qPCR. ELISA results revealed that the MAG2 content secreted into the medium by the SS:MAG2:His transformants increased proportionally with mRNA expression. These findings offer a strategy for high MAG2 secretion in the Chlorella vulgaris platform, potentially minimizing downstream processing costs.
Adsorption is one of the best methods for wastewater purification. The fact that water quality is continuously decreasing requires the development of novel, effective and cost available adsorbents. Herein, a simple procedure for the preparation of a magnetic adsorbent from agricultural waste biomass and ferrofluid has been introduced. Specifically, ferrofluid mixed with wheat straw was directly pyrolyzed either by microwave irradiation (900 W, 30 min) or by conventional heating ($550^{\circ}C$, 90 min). Magnetic biochars were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectroscopy, textural analysis and tested as adsorbents of As(V) oxyanion and cationic methylene blue, respectively. Results showed that microwave pyrolysis produced char with high adsorption capacity of As(V) ($Q_m=25.6mg\;g^{-1}$ at pH 4), whereas conventional pyrolysis was not so effective. In comparison to conventional pyrolysis, one-step microwave pyrolysis produced a material with expressive microporosity, having a nine times higher value of specific surface area as well as total pore volume. We assumed that sorption properties are also caused by several iron-bearing composites identified by $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectroscopy ([super] paramagnetic $Fe_2O_3$, ${\alpha}-Fe$, non-stoichiometric $Fe_3C$, ${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$, ${\gamma}-Fe$) transformed from nano-maghemite presented in the ferrofluid. Methylene blue was also more easily removed by magnetic biochar prepared by microwaves ($Q_m=144.9mg\;g^{-1}$ at pH 10.9) compared to using conventional techniques.

119 Integrated Emergency Management System, 119 IEMS hereinafter, is specialized command and control system for fire H.Q., that supports effective response activity at Fire, Rescue, and First Aids; it covers the emergency call taking, dispatch command delivery and situation control after dispatch command. While the efficiency of emergency response activity of call-taker and dispatcher is directly linked to the capability of qualified response in protecting the life and properties at real-time emergency condition, there is not any similar simulator system that can be used for training purposes for newly allocated personnel or beginner of emergency call taking and dispatch activity - 119 IEMS in fire H.Q. is the operation system that cannot be shared with other purposes, and they're highly expensive ICT system and infrastructure to be used as training and education. 119 Integrated Emergency Management Simulator System, 119 IEMS Simulator, was developed to be utilized in low cost for the training of 119 emergency call taker and dispatcher, and it can be used in training of various types of disaster and emergency handling, spans to emergency call taking, dispatch command, and field report and situation control after dispatch command.
The cognition for corporate social responsibility of Chinese companies is negative because it increases cost and causes reduction of profit. But interest and execution for corporate social responsibility of Chinese firms is increasing consistently. Purpose of this study is to find effect of corporate social responsibility on firm value to Chinese enterprises. To achieve this purpose, we performed multiple regression method to 647 firms listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange of China in 2011. Dependent variable is firm value and independent variable is degree of execution of corporate social responsibility to stakeholders. Conclusions of this study are as follows. First, execution of corporate social responsibility for employees, bondholders, government appeared to have a significant positive effect to firm value at 1% significance level. Second, execution of corporate social responsibility for customers appeared to have a significant negative effect to firm value at 1% significance level. Third, execution of corporate social responsibility for stockholders, suppliers appeared to have a weak positive effect on firm value, however these variables showed statistical insignificant.
Bug reports are essential documents for developers to localize and fix bugs. These reports contain information regarding software bugs or failures that occur during software operation and maintenance phase. Information Retrieval-based Bug Localization (IR-BL) techniques have been proposed to reduce the time and cost it takes for developers to resolve bug reports. However, if a low-quality bug report is submitted, the performance of such techniques can be significantly degraded. To address this problem, we propose a quality prediction method that selects low-quality bug reports. This process; defines a Quality property of a Bug report as a Query (Q4BaQ) and predicts the quality of the bug reports using machine learning. We evaluated the proposed method with 3 open source projects. The results of the experiment show that the proposed method achieved an average F-measure of 87.31% and outperformed previous prediction techniques by up to 6.62% in the F-measure. Finally, a combination of the proposed method and traditional automatic query reformulation method improved the MRR and MAP by 0.9% and 1.3%, respectively.
More and more users are using the query e-mail according to the increment of use of internet. The operator of internet site desires the users to check the FAQ and Q&A contents first before sending the query e-mail to the operator However the users try to get the solution for a problem easily by simply sending a query e-mail. Therefore the increment of query e-mail is inevitable, and the site operator is suffering from too heavy loads and spending too much time and cost to reply the query e-mail. In this paper, we are proposing an efficient method of classifying the query e-mail of users automatically by using a neural network. To verify the reasonability of our work, the query e-mails of KORNET are used as the test data, which is actually gathered in KT. A total of 210 learning data and 280 test data were used to test the performance of the proposed approach. From the experiments we got the encouraging result from the view point of application in real life. The proposed approach satisfied the request of users who wanted rapid response for their query e-mail.
Creating controllable, responsive avatars is an important problem in computer games and virtual environments. Recently, large collections of motion capture data have been exploited for increased realism in avatar animation and control. Large motion sets have the advantage of accommodating a broad variety of natural human motion. However, when a motion set is large, the time required to identify an appropriate sequence of motions is the bottleneck for achieving interactive avatar control. In this paper, we present a novel method for training avatar behaviors from unlabelled motion data in order to animate and control avatars at minimal runtime cost. Based on machine learning technique, called Q-teaming, our training method allows the avatar to learn how to act in any given situation through trial-and-error interactions with a dynamic environment. We demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach through examples that include avatars interacting with each other and with the user.

This study is to present a method of compiling consistently accurate construction cost estimates in minimum of time. There are two kind of applications for estimating system based on quantity-per-unit and the daily work-crew. The former system is still applied 45% as a estimating method to construction job site by the second half of 2010. However, it is necessary for quantity-per-unit to complement the defect of standard integrating specification and improve the integrating method to the various construction conditions. The later system is intended to represent a standard or basic core which can be adopted in many type of construction estimating used across the wide variety of construction in advanced countries. In this study daily work-crew based on productivity is applied to the representative B.O.Q Item in road project. These results are compared to productivity of Japan and U.S.A estimated under the similar circumstances.

Quality function deployment (QFD) is a widely adopted customer-oriented product development methodology by translating customer requirements (CRs) into technical attributes (TAs), and subsequently into parts characteristics, process plans, and manufacturing operations. A main activity in QFD planning process is the determination of the target levels of TAs of a product so as to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction using the data or information included in the houses of quality (HoQ). Gathering the information or data for a HoQ may involve various inputs in the form of linguistic data which are inherently vague, or human perception, judgement and evaluation for the information and data. This research focuses on how to deal with this kind of impreciseness in QFD optimization. In this paper, it is assumed as more realistic situation that the values of TAs are taken as discrete, which means each TA has a few alternatives, as well as the customer satisfaction level acquired by each alternative of TAs and related cost are determined based on subjective or imprecise information and/or data. To handle these imprecise information and/or data, an approach using some basic definitions of fuzzy sets and the signed distance method for ranking fuzzy numbers is proposed. An example of a washing machine under two-segment market is provided for illustrating the proposed approach, and in this example, the difference between the optimal solution from the fuzzy model and that from the crisp model is compared as well as the advantage of using the fuzzy model is drawn.

The use of MPSoC has been increasing because of a rise of use of mobile devices and complex applications. For improving the performance of MPSoC, number of processor has been increasing. Standard MPI is used for efficiently sending data in distributed memory architecture that has advantage in multi processor. Standard In this paper, we propose a scalable distributed memory system with a low cost hardware message passing interface(MPI). The proposed architecture improves transfer rate with buffered send for small size packet. Three queues, Ready Queue, Request Queue, and Reservation Queue, work as previous architecture, and two queues, Small Ready Queue and Small Request Queue, are added to send small size packet. When the critical point is set 8 bytes, the proposed architecture takes more than 2 times the performance improvement in the data that below the critical point.
