This thesis researches consumers' behaviors in Purchasing avatar fashion products depending on their motives and point of reference as the avatar fashion marketing is conducted. Also, it explores the correlation between avatar's fashion products and the point of reference by which consumers actually purchase casual wear. The results were as follows: First, Avatar's fashion product purchasing motivation is done through four classified dimensions, conformity, differentiation, fashionability, and substitution. The standard of Avatar's fashion product choice was classified by the symbol (Product name recognition) and two dimensions of aesthetics. Second. the more valued the aesthetic component of Avatar's fashion product the greater effect on the order the dimensions used in correlation in this case being substitution, differentiation, conformity, and fashionability. Should the consumer place greater value on the Product symbol the dimension order is affected in order by fashionability, conformity, and differentiation. Third, fashionability was a stronger consideration for women as opposed to men in terms of demographical feature. whereas symbol (Product recognition) was of greater importance to higher income people. Last, when aesthetics is considered to buy Avatar's fashion products it is favorably comparable to other casual wear lines. In other words, symbol is considered to buy casual's, it brings to the same result when buying Avatar's. Avatar's fashion product was great tool to research new casual wear line because of approving by the correlation to each other.
In recent year, graphic emoticons in MIM(Mobile Instant Messenger) play an important role not as a valuable communication methods, but as main business model for MIM service providers. Although the graphic emoticons in MIM are regarded as a commercial product, there has been little systematic research reflecting consumers' perspectives. In order to fill this theoretical and practice gap, the study is designed to explore the structural relationships among emoticon use motives, attitude, and purchasing intention to emoticons in context of MIM. The results showed that emoticon use motives in MIM were composed of two main factors, perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. And we also verified that both perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment positively impact flow in communication with using emoticons and social influence. Lastly, flow and social influence were positively related to attitude toward using emoticons and attitude also was related to purchase intention to emoticons in MIM, positively. However, flow and social influence did not have a positive influence on purchase intention to emoticons directly. The implications and limitations of this study are also discussed.
The online shopping environment has radically changed consumer shopping behavior. Without the actual physical shopping experience in a brick-and-mortar store, consumers make purchasing decisions over the Internet. They make an effort to obtain product information not only from online merchants, but also from previous purchasers in order to make an informed decision. Accordingly, customer comments are expected to have a significant impact on decisions to purchase goods and services online. This paper focuses on one type of electronic word-of-mouth, the online consumer review. It derives several motivations why customers post product reviews on shopping mall sites. Customer motives were identified through an in depth one-on-one interview with twenty female respondents conducted twice from June $17^{th}$ to September $11^{th}$, 2009. The interviews lasted between 40 and 60 minutes. The results showed that consumers write product reviews based on six motivations: to receive a reward or remuneration for writing a product review, to share information with other customers, to improve the quality of goods and services, to reduce customer dissatisfaction, to recommend products and services, and to derive pleasure.
This study was conducted to obtain a better understanding of American green tea consumers for increasing Korean green tea sales in the US market. In doing so, this study investigated green tea choice attributes of US consumers and segmented them based upon their perceptions about important attributes of green tea. A factor-cluster segmentation approach was used for this study. An exploratory factor analysis identified five green tea choice motives: 'Sensory', 'Diet', 'Price', 'Health', and 'Brand'. Based upon these five choice attributes, cluster analyses classified all respondents into four homogeneous subgroups: 'Highly motivated', 'Taste/Price oriented', 'Health oriented', and 'Brand oriented'. Cross-tab tests proved that green tea consumption and purchasing patterns were significantly different among the four clusters. In particular, two cluster groups representing 'Highly motivated' and 'Health oriented' groups were found to offer the most utility for further American green tea market segmentation research. Findings show that American green tea consumers include a wide range of age groups and they usually buy green tea at grocery markets. Managerial implications for all cluster groups based upon their unique characteristics are provided. Korean green tea companies can apply these findings in order to develop more effective and efficient marketing strategies to attract American consumers to buy more Korean green tea.

This study aims to explore the status and motives for using avatars and digital fashion items in the metaverse and to examine consumers' purchase satisfaction and future purchase intentions. We intend to provide implications for the development of avatars and fashion items, and the direction of the fashion industry and clothing education. For this purpose, the purchasing status, consumer motives for using avatars and digital fashion items, purchase satisfaction, and future purchase intentions were investigated, through a survey with 149 consumers aged 19 years or older, with the experience of using avatars. The results are as follows. First, the percentage of avatar ownership was high among women aged between 19 and 29, and those with low or high incomes. The younger group was more likely to make mobile phone purchases than the older group, and the older group was more likely to use credit cards. Even those respondents who owned avatars did not purchase frequently or spent a lot on items. On the other hand, in the case of fashion item purchases, the group spending more than 8,000 won was aged between 19 and 29, and the frequency and amount of purchases increased as income increase. Second, among the motives for using avatars and fashion items, the pursuit of pleasure had the greatest influence, and men paid more attention to self-expression through avatars than women. Third, the motive for vicarious satisfaction influenced purchase satisfaction, and the factors that influenced future purchase intention were vicarious satisfaction and stress relief. The results of this study suggests that avatars and fashion items should be developed considering factors that can relieve stress for all age groups, create a sense of unity among metaverse users, and provide satisfaction in a virtual world that is different from reality. In addition, education on how to use fashion items and consumption attitudes in education related to clothing life will be required.

This study aimed to investigate differences in the purchasing patterns of and the levels of satisfaction with cosmetic products, and the method of disposing dissatisfied cosmetics for female university students among China, Japan and Korea. Survey was conducted with 1,200 female coeducational university students in Beijing, Tokyo and Seoul and 1,115 were used for the data analysis. Data were analysed by frequency analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, chi-square analysis, analysis of variance, Duncan's Multiple Range test. The results showed significant differences in purchasing behaviors in China, Japan and Korea. Japanese students mainly got information through objective sources, while Koreans did so through human network. Regrading the evaluative criteria for basic care items, function and effect were the most important criteria for Chinese and Korean consumers and skin compatibility for Japanese. For color make-up, Chinese, Japanese and Korean respondents respectively cared the most on brand image, convenience of purchase and the current trend. Chinese tended to shop cosmetics at department stores due to store reputation, Japanese preferred supermarkets and pharmacies and Koreans shopped at discount stores for low price. The most influential human sources were friends and colleagues for Chinese and Korean, and models on advertisements and magazines for Japanese. Korean respondents displayed the highest level of satisfaction with cosmetics followed by Japanese and Chinese. As for the methods of disposing dissatisfactory cosmetics, Chinese were the most active in exchanging for other product; Japanese and Korean were not likely to use or throw the products away.

The purpose of this study is to provide cosmetic companies and research institutes with basic data regardingthe development of marketing by making out the influence and characteristics of consumption. A total of 506 questionnaires were used as analysis for the questionnaire survey of twenty female college students who purchased cosmetics within sixmonths in Seoul and the metropolitan area. Consumption propensity varied characteristics depending on the degree of makeup, average number of purchases, main reason for using cosmetics, and where to buy cosmetics. Motivation for purchasing cosmetics varied characteristics depending on the largest skin problem, the degree of usual makeup, the average number of times cosmetics were purchased, and the main reason forusing cosmetics. The results revealed thepropensities of saving resources, planned purchases, consciousness to others, and impulse buying have significant effects on the cosmetic purchase motives of product conversion, being others-oriented, economicsand pursuing beauty(P<0.05).Consequently, this study hopes to contribute to the development of cosmetics companies and research institutes by providingbasic data forfuture development of productsas well as formarketing strategiesusing customer psychology by referring to various perspectives ofconsumer direction and desired purchase behavior.

This study attempted to categorize the motivation for participation in leisure sports and analyze the difference in consumer demand for leisure sports wear according to the type. As a result of the analysis, the functionality of the preferred material consisted of movement, comfort, and body temperature maintenance. When purchasing, the factors to consider were extracted such as basic emphasis, emphasis on flaunting, and emphasis on practicality. The improvement requirement was composed of basic function improvement and various function additional factors, and the purchase satisfaction factor was composed of three factors: brand, practicality, design, and functionality. Motives for participation in marine leisure sports were grouped into mania, leisure, and health types. As for the functionality of the preferred material, the mania type and leisure type preferred movement, comfort, and body temperature maintenance functionality over the health type. As for the factors to consider when purchasing, the mania type and leisure type had higher consideration for the factors of basic emphasis, ostentation, and practicality than the health type. In the improvement requirements, both basic function improvement and various function additions had the highest mania type and the lowest health type. In terms of purchase satisfaction factors, practicality and brand were found to have a high leisure type, and functional factors were found to have a high mania type. For the enthusiastic group, it is thought that product development should focus on functionality and additional functions, and health types should be focused on design and utilization.
This study aimed to analyze the performance of Disney-collaborated fashion lines based on online consumer reviews. To do so, the researchers employed text mining and network analysis to identify key words in the reviews of these products. Blogs, internet cafes, and web documents provided by Naver, Daum, and YoutTube were selected as subjects for the analysis. The analysis period was limited to one year after for the 2019. Data collection and analysis were conducted using Python 3.7, Textom, and NodeXL. The research terms in question were as follows: 'Disney fashion collaboration' and 'Frozen fashion collaboration'. Preliminary survey results indicated that 'Elsa's dress' was the most frequently mentioned term and that the domestic fashion brand Eland Retail was the most active in selling Disney branded clothing through its own brand. The writers of reviews for Disney-collaborated fashion products were primarily mothers with daughters. Their decision to purchase these products was based upon the following factors; price, size, stability of decoration, shipping, laundry, and retailer. The motives for purchasing the product were the positive response of the consumer's child and the satisfaction of the parents due to the child's response. The problems to be solved included insufficient quantity of supply, delay in delivery, expensive price considering the number of times children's clothes are worn, poor glitter decoration, faded color, contamination from laundry, and undesirable smells immediately after the purchase.

This study investigates the relevance among the clothing purchase motivations, selection criteria, customer satisfaction of collaborated fashion products, and conspicuous consumption by adults located in the cities of Seoul and Incheon who have experience in collaborated fashion product shopping. The results are as follows: 1. Conspicuous consumption was identified with three factors: symbol of position, pursuit of fashion brand/quality, keeping up appearance. Customers were segmented into two subdivisions of a lowly involved group with conspicuous consumption and a highly involved group with conspicuous consumption. 2. Clothing purchase motivations with collaborated fashion products were identified with two factors of esthetical value and reasonable ostentation. Selection criteria with collaborated fashion products were identified with the two factors of extrinsic attributes and intrinsic attributes. Customer satisfaction was identified with one factor. 3. Highly involved group toward conspicuous consumptionpursued more into esthetics value, reasonable ostentation and considered more into extrinsic attributes through collaborated fashion products than the lowly involved groups. Customer satisfaction of a highly involved group toward conspicuous consumption was higher than the lowly involved group. 4. The symbol of position had a positive relationship and the keeping up appearance had a negative relationship in regards to both the relevance of conspicuous consumption and the clothing purchase motivations, selection criteria, and customer satisfaction of collaborated fashion products.
