A Study on the Image of Show Window Display - Based on Apparel Stores in Pusan - (쇼 윈도우 디스플레이 이미지에 관한 연구 -부산지 역 의류매장을 중심으로-)

  • This study was designed to investigate the image of show window displays. The specific objectives of the study are as follows; 1) Construct a semantic differential scale to evaluate the images of show window displays; 2) Identify the factor structure of the show window displays; 3) Cluster the brands according to the images of show window displays; 4) Examine how the images of show window displays differ according to the different brand clusters; and 5) Identify by brand clusters, how the different show window display images affect the purchasing desires. The following conclusions were made from this study; 1.25 pairs of adjectives for show window displays were found to include five factor dimensions (total variance 67.7%) such as evaluation, interest, hardness and softness, maturity, and modernity. 2. The brands were divided into six clusters according to the show window display images. 3. There were significant differences in the visual evaluation of the brand clusters in the show window display images. 4. There were significant differences in the show window display images that affect the Purchasing desires among the brand clusters.

  • The paradigm shift in housing market has changed consumers' interests to the cost of housing, it is the mos important factor considered in purchasing house recently. In this study, some factors influencing on the cost o: housing and some preference factors considered in purchasing house are analyzed. The AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is used to analyze preference factors. The results of this study can be used as a decision maker in the initial planning stage of construction industry.

The Effect of Consumer’s Switching Barrier Perception on Store Loyalty in Apparel Product Purchasing (의류제품 구매시 소비자의 전환장벽지각이 점포충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to examine the effect of switching barrier perception on store loyalty in apparel product purchasing to classify the factors of switching barrier perception, and additionally ot identify differences of store loyalty and switching barrier perception according to demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was administered to 300 women shopped in a department store in Gwang-ju city during February 10-23, 2001. Data collected from 261 women were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, regression analysis by SPSS for windows PC program. The results were as follows; 1. The consumer’s perceived switching barrier was composed of three factors; economic psychological, time factor. 2. There was significant difference in store loyalty according to consumer’s age, occupation, education level. and income. 3. There was significant differences in economic. time switching barrier perception according to consumers’age, occupation education level, and income. There was significant difference in psychological switching barrier perception according to consumers’ occupation education level, and income. 4. The swiching barrier perception significantly infulenced on the store loyalty.

Consumption Pattern and Satisfaction Degree for Bean Sprout by Housewives Living in Seoul and Kyungki-do Area (서울과 경기지역 주부들의 콩나물에 대한 이용실태와 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The consumption frequency, preference, purchasing behavior and satisfaction degree for bean sprout were surveyed from the housewives living in Seoul and Kyungki-do area. Most of the subjects (84.3%) took bean sprout less than 4 times per 21 meals. Major reasons for the rare consumption were the poor safety, habitual, and long cooking time, in deceasing order. Packed bean sprout was purchased more in Kyungki-do but unpacked was preferred in Seoul. While the major reason for purchasing unpacked bean sprout was the cheap price (57.8%), that for the packed was the safety (82.00). The most unsatisfactory factor for packed bean sprout was the high price, however, unlabelled additives were the primary concern for the unpacked. The satisfaction degree for the quality was higher in packed bean sprout compared with the unpacked. The most unsatisfactory factor for the quality of both packed and unpacked bean sprout was the overall acceptability, followed by texture, taste, and color.

Perceived Service Qualities in Cosmetics Purchasing, those Difference and Consumer Satisfaction among Store Types (화장품 구매시 지각된 서비스품질, 점포유형에 따른 차이와 고객만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate perceived service qualities in cosmetics purchasing and, those difference and consumer satisfaction among cosmetics store types. Data were collected from 276 adult females and analyzed by using frequencies, factor analysis, reliability analysis, ANOVA and duncan test utilizing SPSS WIN 10.0. The results showed that consumers perceived service quality such as reliability and responsiveness, product policy, tangibles, store atmosphere policy, business policy, sales policy to cosmetics store. There were significant differences on service quality among cosmetics store types. Consumers using department stores highly perceived factors such as reliability and responsiveness, product policy, tangibles, store and atmosphere policy, but consumers using common cosmetics store lowly perceived these factors. There were significant differences with regard to use effect and pleasure in using to satisfaction among cosmetics store types. Use effect was revealed the highest to consumers purchasing cosmetics in department stores but the lowest in discount stores. Pleasure in using was revealed the highest consumers using department stores but the lowest common cosmetics store.

A Study on Consumers′ Evaluation and Complaint to Domestic Apparel Products (국내 의류제품에 대한 소비자의 평가 및 불만에 관한 연구 -백화점내 영성의류를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare consumers' evaluation, evaluation criteria and complaint factors on the department stores' private brand apparel with consumers' responses on the department stores' manufacturer brand apparel. 564 subjects were gathered in Seoul and Kyunggi province and, for data analysis, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test, Factor Analysis were conducted. The results are as follows; 1. Among the purchasing groups, there weer significant differences in apparel evaluation according to fabric, style, sewing, suitability, versatility, washability, price and color. 2. Among the purchasing group, there were significant differences in apparel evaluation criteria according to fabric, fashionability, sewing, brand name, department store' credibility. 3. The differences in complaint factors of apparel among the purchasing groups were due to factors such s high quality, variety, price and size. there were significant differences in complaint factors of apparel according to the subjects' age.

Housing Values and Condominium Purchasing Behavior Among Married Women (주거가치에 따른 아파트구매행동 연구)

  • This study explored the relationship between housing values and condominium purchasing behavior. The participants of this study were married women who had bought a condominium at least once and who also were dwelling in one. Survey questionnaires were conducted on 1103 married women from three residential areas in Daegu. The analytical methods used in this study were frequency, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, 1-test, one-way ANOVA, post-hoc estimation (Scheff test), and correlation analysis. The results show that the more the women were oriented toward convenience, education, and investment, the more likely they were to make a rational purchase. Also, the more the women's values were oriented toward conspicuous consumption and investment, the more they were likely to make an investment and ostentatious purchase. The women who valued ostentation and location tended to rely on other people's opinions and advertisement more, and were more likely to be impulsive shoppers. Women who valued convenience, education, and location, made their purchase decisions based on the housing prices.

Purchasing Behavior of Apparel Products of Consumers with Solo Shopper Orientation (Solo Shopping 성향 소비자의 의류제품 구매행동)

  • The primary purpose of this study was to investigate consumers' purchasing behavior of apparel products with solo shopping orientation. The data were collected in Busan and Ulsan from 279 adult women. The aforementioned were analyzed utilizing frequency, factor analysis, simple regression analysis, multiple regression analysis and chi-square($X^2$) test using SPSS Win 12.0. The results showed as follows. The motive factors to alone purchasing behavior of apparel products of consumers were convenience, hedonic aim, consumption centered oneself, load to going together, nonexpected shopping and time utilization. Specially the higher consumers recognized importantly convenience and hedonic aim, the higher they had a solo shopping orientation. The more consumers experienced feelings such as hedonic aim, it was the same. Also the high consumers satisfied on purchase of apparel products, it was just the same.

Casual Hanbok's Image According to Wearing Situation and Purchasing Intention (생활한복의 착용 상황에 따른 이미지와 구매의도)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the differences of the Casual Hanbok's image perception according to wearing situation and to certify factors affecting the Casual Hanbok's purchase. Self administered questionnaires were used. The subjects were 596 women in Chonbuk Province and done during August. 2002. Proportion, percentage, mean, factor analysis, ANOVA and multi-regression were done for data analysis. The results were as follows ; 1. Factors in the Casual Hanbok's image perception were fashion, elegant, comfort, innovation and tradition. The total variences were 53.84%. Especially tradition and innovation factors were very Important. 2. Casual Hanbok's perceived image in formal situation were higher in factors of fashion, elegance, comfort, innovation, and tradition than the perceived image in mind. And the image of informal situation was higher in factors of fashion, elegant and innovation than the perceived image in mind. 3. Purchasing intention was affected by the Casual Hanbok's fashion, elegance, innovation, and tradition, and their influence was 18.10%. Casual Hanbok wearing frequencies affected the purchasing intention significantly.

Purchasing Behaviors of Fashion Products in CATV Home-Shopping (CATV홈쇼핑에서 패션제품의 구매행동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study were to investigate the differences of shopping value, promotional affects and product characteristics between buyers and non-buyers, and to examine the most influenced variable on purchasing behaviors of fashion products in CATV home-shopping. We collected data from 595 consumers related to CATV home-shopping in Busan. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test and discriminant analysis. Results showed that there are significant differences between buyers and non-buyers of shopping value demographic characteristics, promotional affects and product characteristics. Especially, shopping value perceived by consumers(e.g., practical value and hedonic value) and product characteristics(e.g., response of others) discriminated whether consumers purchased the fashion products of CATV home-shopping or not. We discussed the implications of results to encourage the purchasing behavior of fashion products in CATV home-shopping.
