Adolescence Clothing Behavior as Related to Psychological Characteristics. -Emphasis on Adolescence Egocentrism, Self-Consciousness, Body Cathexis- (남녀 중고등학생의 심리적 특성과 의복행동과의 관계-자아중심성.자의식.신체만족도를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of psychological characteristics-adolescence egocentrism, self-consciousness, body cathexis, and demographic variables on clothing behavior of adolescence. Adolescence egocentrism was measured by Kim's Imaginary Audience scale, and body cathexis, by selected questionnaires of Secord Jourard's Body Cathexis Scale. Buss's self-consciousness scae was slightly modified to assess public and Private self-consciousness, and five aspects of clothing behavior were assessed with the questionnaires from the previous studies dealing with clothing interest, psychological dependence, conformity, exhibition, dressing for others. The questionnaire were administered to 498 middle and high school boys and girls living in Seoul and the data were analyzed by Frquency, Factor Analysis, Pearson's Product Moment Correlation, ANOVA, Multiple Regression Analysis and Duncan test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) There were significant positive correlation between clothing behavior and adolescence egocentrism, self-consciousness whereas body cathexis generally were negatively related to clothing behavior. 2) Public self-consciousness and sex were the most influencial variables to clothing behavior among psychological characteristics and demographic variables. Also adolescence egocentrism was proved to be one of influencing factors on adolescence clothing behavior.

  • The advent of virtual currencies has heightened interest in the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) issued by the central bank. Recently, central banks in some countries have already decided to issue CBDCs or are in the test phase. This study will be an opportunity to compare public and private perceptions of central banks and explore various issues related to the introduction of CBDCs in the future through analysis methods of big data.

Effects of Self-Esteem and Self-Leadership on Career Identity in Nursing Students (간호대학생의 자아존중감과 셀프리더십이 진로정체감에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study examined the self-esteem, self-leadership, and career identity of nursing students to identify the influence of self-esteem and self-leadership on career identity. Methods: This study was a descriptive survey of 192 students from six nursing colleges. The descriptive statistics, independent two-sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis were used for statistical analyses. Results: The career identity correlated with self-esteem and self-leadership. A positive correlation was observed between self-leadership and self-esteem. The factors influencing career identity were self-esteem, satisfaction with the major, motivation (aptitude and interest), and desired career after graduation (hospital employment). The explanatory power of these variables was 42.3% in total. Conclusion: To develop a strong career identity for nursing students, it is essential to provide various educational programs that can increase self-esteem, improve awareness of the major, help students understand the roles and responsibilities of nurses, and provide opportunities to explore career options.

  • Recently, FTA is quickly spreading out all over the world. In Korea, roles of trade in the economy are significantly important. Therefore, in order to adapt quickly to changed international trade environment, FTA negotiation and its agreements have been accelerated. In Korea, the trade deficit is expected to continue in telecommunications services sector. Meanwhile, pressures to open the market have been intensified in telecommunications services at WTO and FTA negotiations. Therefore, in the middle of opening the market, the expansion plans to increase the competitiveness of our telecommunications services are required to be searched. Thus, in this paper, we reviewed the Korea trade policy status related to telecommunications services based on realistic situation. Also, after reviewing the trade issues which are raised in the WTO and FTA negotiations, the major issues in WTO and FTA were driven to the lessons.

  • As the consumers' anxiety for food increases, the interest in food safety also increases. To satisfy the public requirement on food safety, the government is trying to set up a food safety standard by using regulations and certification systems. However, there is still difficulty in building up complex traceability systems for medicinal crops including ginseng due to the low participation of farming industries. The purpose of this empirical research is to draw factors that impede the GAP adoption of ginseng farms. By comparing the average attitude and intention to adopt the ginseng farms' depending on its characteristics through a two-tailed test, it was drawn that continuous farming education can positively influence the GAP adoption of the ginseng farms.

  • During recent years the durability of concrete structures has attracted considerable interest in concrete practice, material research and long-term deformation. To preserve the brittleness of concrete as well as energy absorption and impact resistance, amount of fiber usage has greatly increased year to year in the field of public works. When fly ash, fine powder, mixed into concrete, it condensed the void of concrete structure. Expecially, there's a great effect for strength improvement of concrete by initial pozzolanic reactions. Pozzolan reaction, between cement particle and fly ash, can elaborate the micro structure of matrix. So it was able to improve the effect of fiber reinforced by increased adhesion between cement paste and steel fiber. And so, in this paper, we dealt SFRC for the purpose of efficiently using of industrial by-products and its economical manufacturing. Also we performed the test for durability such as chemical resistance, freeze-thaw resistance and accelerated carbonation of SFRC using fly ash.

BIM Model Quality Improvement by Case Study Analysis (품질검증 사례 분석을 통한 BIM모델 품질개선 방안)

  • The recent introduction of BIM technology has raised the interest on the BIM quality assurance and management more than ever. This study aims to consider the ways of BIM quality improvement by analyzing the most frequent issues rising from multiple BIM projects. For this purpose, the 12 test models from BIM education program hosted by buildingSMART Korea are investigated based on the requirements in the public BIM guidelines. All the BIM issues generated are categorized by the criteria applied and analyzed for each kind of building element. The results showed that more than half of the issued at least could be cleared out by improving modeling habits and technical guides.

GSnet: An Integrated Tool for Gene Set Analysis and Visualization

  • The Gene Set network viewer (GSnet) visualizes the functional enrichment of a given gene set with a protein interaction network and is implemented as a plug-in for the Cytoscape platform. The functional enrichment of a given gene set is calculated using a hypergeometric test based on the Gene Ontology annotation. The protein interaction network is estimated using public data. Set operations allow a complex protein interaction network to be decomposed into a functionally-enriched module of interest. GSnet provides a new framework for gene set analysis by integrating a priori knowledge of a biological network with functional enrichment analysis.

Change point analysis in Bitcoin return series : a robust approach

  • Over the last decade, Bitcoin has attracted a great deal of public interest and Bitcoin market has grown rapidly. One of the main characteristics of the market is that it often undergoes some events or incidents that cause outlying observations. To obtain reliable results in the statistical analysis of Bitcoin data, these outlying observations need to be carefully treated. In this study, we are interested in change point analysis for Bitcoin return series having such outlying observations. Since these outlying observations can affect change point analysis undesirably, we use a robust test for parameter change to locate change points. We report some significant change points that are not detected by the existing tests and demonstrate that the model allowing for parameter changes is better fitted to the data. Finally, we show that the model with parameter change can improve the forecasting performance of Value-at-Risk.

  • The automobile industry requires technological innovations to reduce fuel consumption with the public interest in environmental conservation in recent years. Thus, the hybrid system is applied not only to passenger cars but also commercial vehicles. The purpose of this paper is to develop engine ECU_ILS to develop commercial hybrid vehicles. In order to develop the engine and vehicle, the dynamometer and exhaust gas analyzer is needed. However, a lot of time and cost are required. In contrast, the model-based development environment that can be applied to a variety of test conditions can reduce development time. Therefore, a HILS system environment that can consider the behavior of actual vehicles for evaluation of the control logic, fuel consumption and exhaust gas is required. This engine ECU_ILS system was developed in this study, can analyze parameter such as the fuel injection rate, fuel injection time, fuel consumption and exhaust gas like the actual vehicle test using map data. Also, this system is expected to be able to analyze the characteristic of vehicle behavior and the development of peripheral device in relation to engine and vehicles. This HILS system can be used to develop control strategies of commercial hybrid vehicle systems in the future.
