  • The rapid development of IT and the large-scale investment of IT motivate the public agencies to find the ways of effective IT management. Even though the public agencies adopt Enterprise Architecture (EA) as the new alternative for effective IT management, EA practices are still insufficient in the area of utilization and management after the adoption. Therefore, this research aims to identify the influencing factors for improving EA maturity level in terms of the long-term business activities such as establishment, management and utilization. Also, this research empirically identifies the influencing factors on the adoption and operation of EA in the public agencies, and clarifies how such factors impact on EA maturity level.

  • Background: This study aimed to identify the prevalence of workplace hazards and organizational protection resources according to the size of the enterprise in the manufacturing industry of the Republic of Korea. Methods: We analyzed data of waged workers (weighted N = 5,879) from the Fifth Korean Working Conditions Survey (2017). Enterprise sizes were categorized as "micro enterprises" (less than five employees), "small enterprises" (5-49 employees) and "medium-large enterprises" (50 or more employees). Self-reported exposure to 18 physical, chemical, ergonomic, and psychological hazards were measured. The presence of organizational protection resources such as a labor union, a safety delegate working at the company, designated spaces to deal with safety, and the provision of health and safety information was evaluated. Results: Compared to workers in medium-large enterprises, those in micro enterprises showed a higher proportion of exposure to most of physical, chemical, ergonomic, and psychological hazards, except for exposure to solvents, prolonged sitting, and experiencing a state of emotional unrest. On the other hand, workers in micro enterprises had the lowest proportion of access to organizational protection resources. Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that manufacturing workers at the micro enterprise in the Republic of Korea are exposed to the most hazardous work environment and yet have access to the fewest organizational protection resources.

  • The omni-channel customer system is the communication system between enterprise and customer via multiple channels such as mail, email, SMS, and mobile. The omni-channel customer system complements each other channel through the integration of each channel. The purpose of this research is to derive key factors and calculate the weights that a financial enterprise considers when adopting the omni-channel customer system. For this research, we analyzed the request for proposal documents used for the omni-channel customer system implementation projects in the financial enterprise. Also, we derived, classified, and stratified the key factors to be considered for the introduction of the omni-channel customer system in the financial enterprise. As a result of analyzing the key factors, customer experience, operations, and security were identified as the components of the top category in introducing the omni-channel customer system in the financial sector. Furthermore, the weight for each key factor was calculated by using ANP. As a result of ANP, operations, customer experience, and security were important in order. Also, the degree of easiness for connecting with other systems and the various abilities for representing the contents of the omni-channels were derived as the important key factors.

However, the characteristics of a public enterprise have not been reflected in the public records management system. In 2011, the ISO 30300 Series, a records management system, was developed. This indicates a more comprehensive management approach with regard to records management. Moreover, an introduction of the certification system of the ISO 30300 Series is expected. Therefore, this study reviews the characteristics of public enterprises and the necessity of introducing a records management system as well as analyzes the factors for its introduction. It also suggests an improved evaluation index and the requirements for public records management.
