A study of the career deal model for military officers (군대조직의 경력거래모형에 관한 연구: 군 장교를 대상으로)

  • The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among individual career management behavior, organizational career management help and organizational commitment based on psychological contract. The research model takes multi-dimensional perspective. The empirical study has been done using data collected from 360 military officers. The research findings are as follows: First, individual career management behavior is directly linked to the experience of organizational career management help. Second, both individual and organizational career management behaviors are connected to organizational commitment. Especially, career help from military organizations is closely related to affective commitment. Third, psychological contract fulfillment plays a key role in mediating the relationship between organizational career management help and affective commitment. These findings provide some support for the dimensional effects of individual career management behavior on organizational career management, psychological contract fulfillment and organizational commitment in military sector.

Quality of Life Using WHOQOL-Bref in Taegu (WHOQOL-Bref를 이용한 대구시민의 삶의 질)

  • This study aims at providing the basic data necessary for developing a model of and the policies for the improved quality of life of the adult population by measuring and analyzing factors affecting the quality of life based on a WHOQOL-Bref survey of 1,200 persons above the age of 20 residing in Taegu Metropolitan City area. 1. The factors affecting their quality of life were measured as follows: The physical conditions got the highest point of 3.31 while the psychological conditions got 3.20 and the environmental conditions got the lowest point of 3.09. The overall quality of life was rated to be at 3.11 2. General conditions affecting the quality of life, such as the economic conditions, health conditions and stress all turned out to be variables having significant differences(p〈0.01) in all the factors affecting the quality of life. 3. Through the analysis, we also found out the positive correlation exists among all the factors determining the quality of life(p〈0.01), while the psychological factor turning out to have the highest correlation value(r=0.640) with the overall quality of life. 4. To find out the factors affecting all the aspects of quality of life, we also conducted a multiple regression analysis employing the general characteristics as an independent variable. The health, economic and stress conditions all turned out to be significant in all aspects(p〈0.01). Summarizing the above analysis, the quality of life has a high correlation with the psychological, physical and environmental conditions. It has also turned out that the health, economic and stress conditions have the greatest influence on the quality of life. Therefore, it is believed to be necessary that a comprehensive program be developed to promote the public health and to formulate a model for improvement of the people's quality of life that can enhance their physical, psychological and social health conditions.

Moderating Effects of Online Platform Business Ecosystems between Customer Participation and Psychological Ownership: A Comparison of Kakao and Facebook Ecosystems (고객참여와 심리적 주인의식의 관계에서 온라인 플랫폼 비즈니스 생태계 유형의 조절효과: 카카오와 페이스북 생태계의 비교)

  • Purpose The business ecosystem perspective offers a new lens in which to view customers. Customers as the member of business ecosystems influence firms by participating in both the firm level activities and the business ecosystem level activities. For example, customers participate in the business ecosystems by forming interest groups, allowing their voice to be heard the within business ecosystems. Customers can also, turn public opinion around and foster the business ecosystems favorable to firms. On the other hand, as an extreme case of customer participation, customers can engage in community activities to boycott the purchase of products or services from certain firms or business ecosystems. Design/methodology/approach This study views content creation and feedback activities as customer participation in the firm level. On the other hand, word-of-mouth (WOM) and boycott activities are considered as customer participation in the business ecosystem level. This study presents a research model regarding the relationships among customer socialization, customer participation, and psychological ownership. The proposed model is validated through an empirical analysis on online platform business ecosystems. Findings When the two business ecosystems are compared, different results were drawn. In the Facebook ecosystem, boycott and psychological ownership did not have a significant relationship. However, in the Kakao ecosystem, the two had a significant positive relationship. The mediating effect of the business ecosystem type sheds a light on the mission, purpose, vision, and other values associated with the theory of the business on the customer-firm relationship. Further implications for theory and practice were discussed in this study.

A Study on User Experience that Provides Psychological Stability during Mobile E-commerce One-touch Payment (모바일 이커머스 페이 원터치 결제 시 심리적 안정감을 제공하는 사용자 경험 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to study the user experience that provides psychological stability when paying for mobile e-commerce pay one-touch. Through literature and case studies, e-commerce pay one-touch payments were identified, and user experiences were investigated through surveys and in-depth interviews. The survey based on Aaron Walter's model of user needs received a high average of functionality and usability for one-touch payments, but reliability and stability were somewhat low. Afterwards, four design improvement plans were presented to supplement psychological stability by analyzing in-depth interviews conducted based on the User's Eye View of User Experience Design model. This study is expected to be helpful in basic research on the payment experience where you can feel stable when taking one-touch payments.

  • To date, the majority of research on empowerment has focussed on the individual job incumbent's psychological experience of empowerment and linking this with various work-related outcomes. However, a model that focuses on individual subjective reactions is at best incomplete if it does not include an examination of the contextual factors that shape those perceptions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among situational factors, psychological empowerment and employee's attitudes. The data were collected by questionnaire from a sample of 525 employees who were working at business organizations in Kangwon area. Results indicated that organizational characteristics such as access to information, LMX, and participative climate were positively related to an employee's psychological empowerment. Psychological empowerment was positively related to an employee's job attitudes such as organizational commitment and innovative behavior. Finally, theoretical and practical implications from the results were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of stress factors of student pilots on mental health, and to reduce the safe and efficient misconduct education and psychological disharmony by identifying the psychological buffering role of stress coping style and social support. In order to achieve the research purpose, a research model and hypothesis were presented based on previous studies, and regression analysis and mediation effect verification were conducted through a questionnaire survey of 202 student pilots. As a result of the analysis, factors such as flight stress, values stress, professor stress, and friend relationship stress have been shown to affect emotional conditions or psychological well-being. Also we found that the parameters of disengagement coping, family/friend support and organization Support had a mediating effect on the factors between student pilot stress and psychological health. Therefore, student pilots need to manage problems and negative emotions that may cause from flight training, value distractions, professor and friendships' relationship and it is suggested that organization support for training and safety related to emotional support and delinquency of family and friends.

Quality of Life in Colorectal Cancer Patients at Home 5-Fluorouracil Chemotherapy with Disposable Elastomeric Infusion Pumps (일회용 약물주입기로 가정에서 항암치료 중인 대장암 환자의 삶의 질)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the psychological distress related to quality of life (QoL) of patients with colorectal cancer receiving 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) chemotherapy at home with disposable Elastomeric infusion pumps. Methods: In this study, 179 colorectal outpatients were recruited between September 2019 and January 2021. National Cancer Center Psychological Symptom Inventory scores, general self-efficacy, and the EORTC QLQ-C30 scores were measured. Data were analyzed using Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA with Bonferroni post hoc analysis, and hierarchical multiple linear regression with the SPSS/WIN 26.0 programs. Results: The overall prevalence of psychological distress was 52.0% in colorectal patients. In multiple regression, psychological distress (β=-.20, p=.005), appetite loss (β=-.20, p=.001), chemotherapy cycles (β= .19, p=.002), fatigue (β=-.16, p=.035), physical functioning (β=-.16, p=.024), and emotional functioning (β=-.15, p=.025) were significant factors of QoL, and the final model explained 45.0% of the total variance of QoL. Conclusion: Supporting patients toward decreased psychological distress and increased physical and emotional functioning, especially in the first or second cycle of chemotherapy, could be used to improve their QoL. To consider the thresholds for clinical importance, it is necessary to increase the interpretation of psychological distress in clinical practice and further research.

The Impact of Job Stress and Positive Psychological Capital on Job Embeddedness in Clinical Nurses (임상간호사의 직무 스트레스, 긍정심리자본이 직무배태성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study attempted to identify the job stress and positive psychological capital of clinical nurses and to identify the factors that impact job embeddedness. Methods: Data were collected from 115 nurses with over one year of clinical experience working at a 500-bed B General Hospital. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 27.0 program using frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, Independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression. Results: As a result of multiple regression analysis, hope among the sub-factors of positive psychological capital (β=0.48, p<.001), matters related to the work schedule (β=-0.23, p=.005) among the sub-factors of job stress, and conflict with doctor (β=0.20, p=.013) was found to have an impact on job embeddedness, and the explanatory power of this regression model was 52.0% (F=13.12, p<.001). Conclusion: It was found that the positive psychological capital of clinical nurses has a positive impact on job embeddedness. In order to increase the job embeddedness of clinical nurses, it is necessary to develop, educate, and utilize specific intervention programs that can strengthen positive psychological capital. Efforts should be needed to prepare specific strategies for nurses to recognize the importance of hope and actively utilize positive psychological capital. In addition, it is necessary to create an organization-level working environment and continuous management to reduce the job stress of clinical nurses.

A model for person-oriented unification education: Based on the stages of the unification (사람중심의 통일교육 모델의 제안: 통일 단계에 따라)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose what psychological education is needed for activation of interchange between the South Korea and the North Korea and ultimately for the completion of Korean unification. We learned this reason from the German unification case. The Germany was unified 17 years ago, but many researchers evaluate that it will take about 30 years more for German people to complete real and inner unification. So, we proposed our own unification education in a psychological aspect for faster and inner unification, which is based on the principle that we should go ahead according to our situation, not simply follow the way Germany went. Therefore, we should start psychological education for unification from now on, even though unification is not accomplished at the present and Germany didn't do that. Because we can predict the pre-unification (interchange) stage would be long unlike the Germany, psychological education for unification is needed during this interchange stage consistently. For the person-oriented unification education, we should educate adaptation-enhancement strategy for each person to keep psychological stability in the interchange and unification stage, beyond simply educating ideology focusing on the political and structural unification.

The effect of Yangsung program (oriental psychological treatment based on Confucian ideas program) for obesity on self esteem, self control and weight of women (한의학 이론에 기반을 둔 양성치료(養性治療)가 비만여성의 생물학적, 심리적 지표 변화에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective : This study examined whether Yangsung program (oriental psychological weight regulation model based on Confucian ideas) is effective on weight loss, self esteem, three factor on eating questionnaires(restraint eating, disinhibition and hunger), distortion of body-image and biochemistry of blood. Method : 23 women were assigned randomly into 2 groups; experimental group(n=10) and control group(n=13). Experimental group had 7 personal sessions consisting of personal Yangsung therapy, meditation, general diet and exercise education. Control group had personal sessions with general diet and exercise education once a week for 6 weeks. All subjects were weighed and evaluated with Rosenberg self esteem scale, distortion of body-image, biochemistry of blood and three factor eating questionnaires at the beginning and end of the program. Result : There is significant difference between two groups in changes of self esteem, disinhibition and hunger(p<0.05). There is no significant difference in weight reduction and BMI between two groups. Conclusion : This study showed a new possibility of unique psychological program for obesity characterized by its philosophical context.
