감정노동에 따른 공항서비스 직원의 심리적 메커니즘에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on the Airline Service Employees' Psychological Mechanism according to the Emotional Labor)

  • Purpose - Service employees who work at airline check-in counters in airport are typically employed to undergo emotional labor. Emotional labor of airport service employees is an important managerial issue that must be solved. This study attempts to examine the underlying mechanism of emotional labor on turnover intention. It focuses on the consequences of emotional labor of service employees. The purpose of this study is to examine and empirically test how the two-types of emotional labor(deep-acting & surface-acting) of service employees differently affect the level of their job satisfaction and job stress. It also investigates the relationship between job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. For this purpose, first, this study identified the structural relationship between emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. Second, it investigated the mediating effects of job satisfaction between deep-acting and turnover intention. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test these structural relationships among research variables, data were collected by a interview from service manager of domestic airline companies and survey from 179 service employees who are working at single domestic airline check-in counters in airports in Korea using a self-rating questionnaire with total 19 items dealing with emotional labor, job satisfaction, job stress, and turnover intention. To test the research hypotheses, collected data were analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structure equation model (SEM). Results - This study obtains meaningful research results. The results from this study are as follows. First, deep-acting has a positive effect on job satisfaction, whereas, deep-acting has a negative effect on job satisfaction. Second, surface-acting has a positive effect on job stress, whereas, the effects of surface-acting on job satisfaction did not show statistically significant result. Also, job satisfaction has partial mediating roles to the relationship between deep-acting and turnover intention. Conclusions - Based on the results of this empirical study, emotional labor of service employees is one of the key factors influencing their job satisfaction and job stress. In particular, deep-acting is the important factor in emotional labor to increase job satisfaction and reduce job stress. Finally, theoretical, managerial implications, and research limitations are mentioned in discussion parts.

Dependence Potential of Quetiapine: Behavioral Pharmacology in Rodents

  • Quetiapine is an atypical or second-generation antipsychotic agent and has been a subject of a series of case report and suggested to have the potential for misuse or abuse. However, it is not a controlled substance and is not generally considered addictive. In this study, we examined quetiapine's dependence potential and abuse liability through animal behavioral tests using rodents to study the mechanism of quetiapine. Molecular biology techniques were also used to find out the action mechanisms of the drug. In the animal behavioral tests, quetiapine did not show any positive effect on the experimental animals in the climbing, jumping, and conditioned place preference tests. However, in the head twitch and self-administration tests, the experimental animals showed significant positive responses. In addition, the action mechanism of quetiapine was found being related to dopamine and serotonin release. These results demonstrate that quetiapine affects the neurological systems related to abuse liability and has the potential to lead psychological dependence, as well.

향유신념과 긍정정서의 관계에 미치는 반추의 매개효과 (Mediating Effect of Rumination on the Relationship between Savoring Beliefs and Positive Emotion)

  • 본 연구는 대학 및 대학원생을 대상으로 향유신념과 반추, 긍정정서의 관계를 확인함으로써, 긍정정서를 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 실증적으로 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 대학에 재학 중인 대학 및 대학원생 235명을 대상으로 향유신념, 반추, 긍정정서를 측정하는 질문지를 실시하였다. 구조방정식 모형분석을 실시한 결과, 대학 및 대학원생의 향유신념은 긍정정서에 긍정적인 영향을, 반추에는 부정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 반추는 긍정정서에 부정적인 영향을 끼쳤는데, 향유신념과 긍정정서의 정적 관계는 반추에 의해 부분 매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 긍정정서를 높이기 위한 향유하기 방략의 효과를 확인하는 동시에 그 기제를 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 단순히 향유신념에 초점을 두는 것보다 긍정정서에 대한 반추의 영향력을 함께 고려할 때 더 효과적으로 긍정정서의 향상을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

캐릭터의 자아방어기제를 은유하는 '안티돔' 공간의 성격화 전략 - <에반게리온>의 TV 시리즈와 극장판 를 중심으로 - (The Strategy of Characterizing Space that uses Anti-House as a Metaphor for Character's Self-Defense Mechanism - Focusing on the TV Series and the Theater version of -)

  • 애니메이션 작품에서는, 캐릭터의 내적갈등을 효과적으로 전개하고 주제를 강화하기 위한 주요한 전략의 하나로서 공간을 성격화한다. 내적갈등의 과정은, 캐릭터가 결핍에 의해 형성된 두려움으로부터 자아를 보호하기 위하여 무의식적 차원에서 방어기제를 사용하며, 그 자기기만적 속성 때문에 현실이 왜곡되며 갈등이 강화되는 것으로 구체화된다. 본 논문은 애니메이션에 나타나는 공간의 구분에 있어서 갈등이 심화되는 공간인 '안티돔'의 개념에 주목하고, 작품 분석을 통해 내적갈등의 양상과 공간의 특성을 '은유 구조의 틀'로 해석하여, 캐릭터의 내적갈등을 증폭시키는 방어기제의 작용이 '안티돔'으로 성격화되는 그 근원적 관계성을 밝히고자 했다. 분석은 <신세기 에반게리온>의 TV 시리즈와 극장판 를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 이는 극중의 캐릭터들이 모두 심각한 가정사적 결핍과 A.T.필드로 상징되는 배타적 경계의 심리적 속성을 공유하고 있다는 점과, 무엇보다도 핵심 캐릭터인 '이카리 신지'를 통해 내적갈등에 대한 강박적 방어기제의 사용, 그 결과로 나타난 자아의 붕괴와 성찰의 과정을 전체 플롯의 핵심 맥락으로 묘사하고 있기 때문이다. 분석을 통해서, 캐릭터의 방어기제와 '안티돔(안티고로드로 확장된)' 공간과의 유사적 관계를 추론하였으며, (1) X축의 '수평공간'과 (2) Y축의 '수직공간', (3) 모든 공간이 '탈출구가 존재하지 않는' 구조로 이루어졌다는 의미에서 Z축의 '모순의 심도 공간'으로 구축되어 있다는 결론을 도출할 수 있었다. 본 논문은, 방어기제와 안티돔의 은유 관계 분석에 있어서 첫 출발의 의미로, <에반게리온>이 가장 적합한 분석 작품이라는 판단에 의해 시작되었다. 그러나 일본 애니메이션 특유의 현학적 구성과 확장적 해석의 가능성 때문에 오히려 명료한 검증이 어려웠다는 점이 연구의 한계로 작용했다. 후속 연구를 통해 보완되기를 바라며, 본 논문이 애니메이션 텍스트의 해석에 있어서 공간의 중요성을 제고하고, 창작을 위한 데이터베이스로 기능할 수 있기를 기대한다.

북한이탈주민의 문화적응 스트레스와 대처기전 (A Study on Acculturation Stress and Stress-coping among North Korean Defectors)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the degree of acculturation stress among North Korean Defectors and the coping method that they used to deal with it. Methods: Ninety-nine participants of this study were North Korean Defectors in Seoul and Daejeon. The tools of survey for this study were acculturation stress and stress-coping. Results: The score for acculturation stress among North Korean Defectors was $2.97{\pm}0.47$ which was a moderate level of stress. The score of problem-solving coping was $3.10{\pm}0.47$ and emotional coping got $2.85{\pm}0.52$. On acculturation stress, there were higher scores among people who were old-aged, married, low educational levels, dissatisfied with job, low monthly income, and living alone. On problem-solving coping, there were higher score among people who have jobs. Regarding emotional coping, there were higher score in people who have jobs, dissatisfaction with job, and living alone. The higher the problem-solving coping skill, the less the acculturation stress. Conclusion: Reducing of acculturation stress and increasing adaptation mechanism of North Korean Defectors are very important due to the results of this study. Therefore, adaptation programs like psycho-social counseling should be created for North Korean Defectors.

  • 대인적 신뢰란 모든 사회적 관계가 의존하는 상호적인 “성실성”으로서, 심리적이고 개인적인 영역으로 간주되어 주로 심리학에서 다루어져온 개념이었으나 최근 조직과학의 발달로 인해 구성원의 자발적 행동을 유인하고 조직적 업무수행의 효율을 높이는 요인으로서 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 이 글은 조직내에서의 리더와 구성원사이의 대인적 신뢰의 실체를 밝히고 이것이 어떻게 개인심리적 차원에서 사회 조직적 차원으로 개념승화가 될 수 있는 가를 살펴보고 있다. 또한 대인적 신뢰가 조직내에서 형성되고 유지 발전되는 과정을 살펴봄으로서 조직내 구성원들의 업무효율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하고 있다.

대학생의 자각증상과 우울 및 스트레스 대처행동에 관계 (Symptoms, Depression, and Coping Behaviors of University Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among subjective symptoms, depression, and stress coping behavior of university students. Method: The survey was carried out on a convenience sample of 298 university students. The questionnaire consisted of each scale for symptoms, depression, and stress coping behaviors. Data analysis procedure included the factor analysis for stress coping behaviors, and the correlation analysis describing a relationship among symptoms, depression, and stress coping behaviors. Result: There were significant correlations between depression and the three types of symptoms: general, psychological, and somatic symptom. Subjects using the negative-emotional-response coping and the self-control coping showed a more severe depression, and those using the problem-solvingㆍreappraisal coping and the positive-emotional-response coping showed a milder depression. Subjects using the negative-emotional-response coping complained of all 3 types of symptoms severely, and those using the positive-emotional-response coping complained of general symptoms mildly. Of five stress coping methods, the negative-emotional-response and the positive-emotional-response coping methods were related to both symptoms and depression significantly. Conclusion: This study suggests that the emotional-oriented coping method has more important role for university student’s depression and their subjective symptoms than the problem-oriented coping or social supports seeking coping. Further study needs to be conducted to help students effective coping mechanism for good mental health. Also it is necessary for university students to recognize that their symptoms are associated with depression.

HRI를 위한 사람의 내적 요소 기반의 인공 정서 표현 시스템 (Human emotional elements and external stimulus information-based Artificial Emotion Expression System for HRI)

  • 사람과 로봇의 인터랙션에 있어 정서의 역할은 중요하다. 그러므로 사람과 유사한 정서 메커니즘이 로봇에게 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사람의 정서에 대한 심리적 연구를 바탕으로 사람의 내적 요소에 기반한 새로운 인공 정서 표현 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 external stimulus, emotion, mood, personality, tendency, machine rhythm 의 6가지 정보 요소를 활용하며, 각 요소들은 그들의 특성에 따라 결과적으로 emotion 표현 패턴의 변화에 영향을 준다. 그 결과 통일한 외부 자극들은 내적 상태에 따라 emotion의 변화를 만들어 낸다. 제안된 시스템은 사람과 로봇의 자연스러운 인터랙션을 유지하고, 친밀한 관계를 형성할 수 있도록 도움을 줄 것이다.

홧병환자의 임상양상에 대한 고찰 (The Study on the Clinical Aspects of Hwabyung Patients)

  • The questionnaire which was based on the characteristics of psychological and physiological symptoms of Hwabyung patients was distributed to Hwabyung patients and normal control group. The following results were obtained. 1. It was observed in this study that the rate of occurrence of Hwabyung was higher in female and the people with lower economical and educational background. And this result was in accordance with the previous studies. 2. The personality, defense mechanism and coping strategy of Hwabyung patients was found to be inclined to yin(陰) disposition in this study. 3. Family life of Hwabyung patients was found to be worse than that of normal control group in every respect. 4. In terms of evaluation of their lives, the emotion of Hwabyung patients was characterized as Hahn(恨). And it is postulated that this emotional complex falsifies the reaction of Ki(氣) to the seven emotions(七情).

국제적인 의학교육 역량체계 비교를 통한 한의학교육에의 시사점 연구 (A Study on Implications for Korean Medicine Education by Comparing International Competence Frameworks in Medical Education)

  • In order to gain implications for establishing competency-based education system in Korean medicine education, we examined several competence frameworks of medical education developed at international or national level, and compared the basic constitution and common elements. The competence frameworks of medical education consist of seven categories of communication, professionalism, critical thinking, medical knowledge, patient care, management, and public health. Medical knowledge consists of five sub-groups: normal structure and function; pathogenesis and mechanism of disease; principles of drug and treatment; psychological, behavioral and sociological principles; and public health and lifelong learning. In principle, competencies are further divided into sub-categories or combined with learning outcomes, and the field and the level of achievement is presented per item. This article aims at summarizing the competencies of a few globally leading medical institutions with the educational standard of Korean Medicine in mind.
