  • Virtual Reality is a set of computer technologies which, when combined, provide an interface to a computer-generated world, and in particular, provide such a convincing interface that the user believes he is actually in a three dimensional computer-generated world. This computer generated world may be a model of a real-world object, such as a house; it might be an world that does not exist in a real sense but is understood by humans, such as a chemical molecule or a representation of a set of data; or it might be in a completely imaginary science fiction world. this paper describes the application of boiler digital control system MMI for power plant using virtual reality

  • As computer performance and needs of user convenience increase, computer user interface are also changing. This changes had great effects on software development environment. In past, text editors like vi or emacs on UNIX OS were the main development environment. These editors are very strong to edit source code, but difficult and not intuitive compared to GUI(Graphical User Interface) based environment and were used by only some experts. Moreover, the trends of software development environment was changed from command line to GUI environment and GUI Editor provides usability and efficiency. As a result, the usage of text based editor had decreased. However, because GUI based editor use a lot of computer resources, computer performance and efficiency are decreasing. The more contents are, the more time to verify and display the contents it takes. In this paper, we provide a new parser that provide multi view editing, incremental parsing and multiple entry of abstract syntax tree.

  • Input filter for satellite communication transponder is the interface between the antenna and the receiver. It is used to provide the selection of the uplink signals with minimum insertion loss and to prevent downlink signals form reaching the LNA. This paper is intended to provide a description of the input filter for KOREASAT communication transponder. Included are description for the electrical and mechanical design and the requirments of environmental test. In expecting the electrical performine the optimum electrical configuration ot meet all requirements are performed. Mechanical requirements are charactersed by several constraints for weight, size of the filter and its type of input output interface. The standardized environmental tests are performed to confirm satisfactory performance of the filter with respect to the requirements of vibration and thermal vacuum shocks.

  • In this paper, we propose the multimedia tutoring system that provides multimedia learning contents for english Loaming on mobile environment. In order to design and implement the system, we have developed mobile multimedia contents from contents modeling based on the types of item, but also mobile interface to provide learning contents for learners effectively under limitation of mobile environment. The contents server in this system creates multimedia learning contents as XML document for each learner and provides those to learners through mobile interface using Wireless Application Protocol at anytime and anyplace.

RF COMPATIBILITY TEST BETWEEN KOMPSAT AND TTC STATION

  • Results of RF compatibility test between KOMPSAT(Korea Multi-Purpose SATellite) and TTC(Tracking, Telemetry, and Command) station are described. S/C(Spacecreft) RF Test, telemetry test, command test, ranging test, and tracking receiver test were performed with respect to pass/fail criteria. To provide physical RF interface between KOMPSAT and TTC equipment, direct low cable and antenna-to-antenna interface were implemented. Through RF compatibility test, it was fully demonstrated that KOMPSAT and TTC equipment are functionally workable.

  • The most important instrument to declare oneself publicly in cyberspace is to use a homepage or website. Nowadays most of Korean as well as overseas art museums have their own websites, through which they provide consumers with essential information and strive to declare themselves publicly in cyberspace. A homepage is composed of various components and the most crucial component is the interface. The objective of this paper is to present a proposal to help get a program for efficient website management and consumer satisfaction.

  • In this paper we interface Tangible Devices (i.e. Haptic Devices) for 3D Virtual World based on MPEG-RoSE syntax. We called it Virtual World and Real World Interface (VRI). The VRI Technology project intends to provide virtual world information to real world and tangible experience to user of virtual world through tangible devices.

스크린골프의 몰입 향상을 위한 실감 인터페이스 요소 연구 (A Study on Realistic Interface Elements for Improving the Flow in Screen Golf)

  • 스크린골프는 단순히 실내에서 골프를 즐기는 수준을 넘어 실제 골프코스와 같은 환경을 체감할 수 있도록 정교한 센서와 3D 그래픽으로 구현하여 사용자에게 보다 현장감 있는 인터페이스를 제공한다. 이러한 인터페이스 환경을 경험한 사용자들은 골프에 대한 재미를 더 크게 느끼고 몰입하게 되는 행동성향을 보임에 따라 효과적인 실감 인터페이스의 제공은 무엇보다 중요하다 하겠다. 본 연구에서는 체감형 스포츠로서 스크린골프가 가지는 의미와 스크린골프에 구현된 다양한 인터페이스 요소를 정리하여 사용자가 필드골프와 같은 실재감과 재미를 느끼며, 스크린골프에 보다 몰입할 수 있는 요인들을 규명하였다. 감각 요소를 근거로 한 인터페이스 요소들을 시각·청각·촉각 측면에서 정리하였고, 골프존과 카카노VX 사례를 대상으로 주기적으로 스크린골프를 즐기는 사용자 FGI와 골프 프로 전문가 심층 인터뷰 등을 통해 스크린골프의 효과적인 실감 인터페이스 제공을 위한 개선 방안 및 방향성을 제시하였다. 분석결과 시각 측면에서는 야디지를 포함한 코스정보와 플레이 연출 그래픽이 몰입하게 만드는 요소임을 확인하였고, 촉각 측면에서는 실제 장비를 사용한다는 점과 함께 다양한 코스 환경과 플레이 상황을 구현한 물리적 인터페이스 실재감이 중요하게 나타났다. 특히 청각 측면에서는 보다 진보된 기술로 정교하게 구현한 필드골프 캐디와 같은 AI 캐디를 통해 사용자별 맞춤형 서비스를 제공한다면 보다 큰 재미와 실재감으로 스크린골프에 몰입하게 만드는 가장 효과적인 방안임을 확인하였다.

  • A practical method to investigate the user interface of web based Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) on the internet environment is established. Because the industrial FMS controller requires a lot of gadget, such as switch, dial, button, etc., for actual work-site flexible operation sufficiently, the user interface of the controller is significantly complex. The support for operational convenience of FMS controller can increase productivity and efficiency of the user, operational personnel of FMS. While most FMS provide their application programming interface(API) and graphical user interface(GUI) with adequate mechanism itself when used in stand alone, there is increasing demand for FMS that can operate with the intuitional user interface find virtual reality(V/R) environment. This thesis considers the intuitional user interface of Web-based FMS first, and from this, goes a step further, improves as virtual reality environment of FMS on the internet environments by using the feature based modeling technique approach and cartoon rendering. The feature-based modeling technique approach is applied to FMS line which is consist of facilities such as machining center, CNC lathe, autonomous guided vehicle, rail guided vehicle, and various controllers. In this study, the FMS established the intuitional user interface is able to obtain not only the operational convenience but also the enough productivity and significant efficiency.

  • Until now, a study on a ubiquitous sensor network has been mainly concentrated in the areas of sensor nodes, and as a results, technologies related with sensor node were greatly developed. Despite of many achievements on research and development for a sensor node, a ubiquitous sensor network may failed to establish the actual service environment because variety of restrictions. In order to provide a actual service using a ubiquitous sensor networks applied to many results on research and development for a sensor nodes, a study on a wired/wireless composite router must be carried out. However a study on a wired/wireless composite router is relatively very slow compared with the sensor node. In this study, developed a high-performance router platform supporting IPv6 that can provide high-speed wired/wireless interface and QoS, and it can provide the multimedia service Interlocking the wireless sensor network and the Internet network. To analysis a given network environment and to develop the appropriate hardware and software in accordance with this requirement.
