벤토나이트를 혼합한 준설해사의 차수재 활용성 (Study on the applicability of bentonite-mixed dredged sea sand as a water-proof material)

  • There is a case to use dredged-sea sand as a filling material because of difficulty of obtaining required filling material for tideland reclamation project from the land. At this time, side slope erosion is occurred because the precipitation falling to the top of bank acts as infiltration water when it pass through inside of the semi-permeable filling section. This study has confirmed the declining effect of permeability by conducting permeability test to the condition of mixing of bentonite to the dredged sea-sand. And also this study has confirmed that the above processed-soil could be used as a water-proof layer to protect infiltration of water through the infiltration flow analysis.

Investigation of Noise Spectrum Characteristics for an Evaluation of Railway Noise Barriers

  • Most of the test methods used for determining the acoustic performance of the noise barriers in Korean standards address the sound-proof panels but refer to noise barriers as a whole system or their in-situ performances less. Many new types of trains with different operating speeds have been developed and produced, and civil appeals against railway noise are becoming quite extensive. Considering these latest changes of circumstances, it is necessary to investigate the current standards and specifications pertaining to railway noise barriers. In this paper, criteria for the measurements and evaluations of noise barriers and sound-proof panels are examined and experimental studies are introduced. In order to suggest more efficient methods for reasonable evaluations of the noise barriers, frequency spectrums of the noise source, the power of the actual railway vehicles, are investigated and introduced.

  • This paper discusses on the implementation of blockchain system, specifically the private system for Energy trading purpose. Blockchain is records bundled together in blocks and added to the chain after ledger is generated. All the blocks in the entire networks should be same contents and also only the permitted nodes can join the chain in the private blockchain system, thus not that same block and permitted nodes cannot be accepted in terms of proof-of-work phase. We implement the all stages which are necessary to process blockchain system. After coding the whole process, we test and conclude that the system is correctly working in terms of the functions implemented.

  • This paper discuss the Qualification Test Procedure which is composed of main functional and environmental tests for the localizing avionics and subsystems, especially the detail test approaches of General Avionics Computed(GAC) through the analysis of related technical data packages for the purpose of performance proof of final products. Quality assurance procedures are properly established with the several kinds of inspections and functional test items. They are called as process inspections, functional test, acceptance test procedure and qualification test procedure. The Qualification test procedure are composed of the analysis of original engineering design concept and shall be performed for the acquisition of the certification of the GAC's quality as well as the aquisition of the related techniques and engineering know-how items.

  • 본 논문에서는 초고층 건축물이 풍화대지반에 위치하여 대구경 현장타설 말뚝기초로 지지되고 있는 사례를 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 말뚝기초의 설계 사례는 "예비설계-검증시험-예비설계의 보완"의 3단계를 거쳐 말뚝기초의 설계를 완성한 대표적인 사례로 볼 수 있으며, 검증시험으로 2회의 양방향 고유압 말뚝재하시험이 수행되었다. 이와 같은 설계절차를 준수할 경우 말뚝기초의 경제적인 설계를 수행할 수 있으며, 이를 통하여 말뚝기초 공사비의 대폭적인 절감을 이룰 수 있을 것이다.

여성 노인의 신체활동 수준과 낙상예방 관련 체력의 상관관계 (Relationship between Physical Activity Level and Fall-Proof-related Fitness in Older Female Adults)

  • PURPOSE: This study investigated the relationship between the daily physical activity level and fall-proof-related fitness in older female adults. METHODS: This study promoted and sampled the subjects who participated in the study for 2 weeks, and developed a basic information questionnaire to select the subjects to be excluded from the research. The amount of energy expenditure through daily physical activity was examined, and the elderly physical fitness, and balance test were analyzed. The subjects were divided into group A (${\geq}1,500kcal/week$), group B (<$1,500-{\geq}1,000kcal/week$), and group C (<1,000 kcal/week) according to their daily physical activity level. RESULTS: A significant difference in the daily physical activity level (energy expenditure), Chair Stand Test (lower body strength), 8-Foot Up-and Go Test (dynamic balance), and CTSIB-M (modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction in Balance) was observed among groups A, B, and C (p<.5), but there was no significant difference in the Chair Sit-and-Reach Test (lower body flexibility) (p>.5). CONCLUSION: The increase in physical activity is an essential factor for preventing falls and it provides many health benefits for the elderly. On the other hand, considering that elderly people cannot access exercise programs easily in Korea, it can be predicted that increasing elderly people's physical activity in daily life rather than specific exercises may help prevent falls.

Application of WAK test to Identify Unstable Concrete Sleeper

  • In this study a new detection technique based on WAK is introduced that can be used for identifying unstable concrete sleeper installed in ballast by triggering activated wave on the sleeper surface. If a gap exists immediately below the concrete sleeper, static stiffness can be lower than stable case's stiffness. The concrete sleeper is assumed as a single degree of freedom system (SDOF). The static stiffness K can be obtained by iteratively calculated mass (m), stiffness (k) and damping coefficient (c) of SDOF system. Those coefficients are used to specify the ballast condition such as a gap between the sleeper and ballast. Typical test results using a small sleeper model test are summarized and explained for proof of effectiveness of the WAK test for checking unstable condition of the sleeper.

무도장 내후성 강 교량의 밀폐형 박스거더 내부의 부식에 대한 고찰 (The study on corrosion of the inner area of closed box-girder for unpainted weathering steel bridges)

  • 내후성 강재는 대기환경에서 내식성이 우수하여 강교량의 재료로 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 내후성 강은 해수와 가까운 지역, 음지 및 습도가 높은 환경에서는 안정된 녹층이 형성되지 않고, 일반녹이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 열악한 대기환경을 가지는 일본에서는 무도장으로 사용하지 않고, 녹안정화 처리를 하고 있는 상황이다. 그러나 국내에서 건설된 내후성 강은 대부분 무도장으로 건설되었고, 건습의 주기적인 반복이 일어나기 어려운 밀폐형 박스거더형으로 건설되었다. 특히, 한강수변위에 건설된 강교량의 경우, 수분의 증발, 온도차에 의한 결로 및 우수에 의한 체수 등으로 내후성강의 부동태 피막형성에 해로운 영향을 미치고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 상수도 보호구역에 무도장 내후성 강으로 건설된 교량의 밀폐형 박스거더 내부의 부식 특성을 분석하기 위하여, 육안에 의한 관찰, 셀로판 테이프 시험, 강재 두께 측정, 표면 부식 전위측정, 채취한 녹의 전자현미경 분석 및 X선 회절 분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 통하여, 밀폐형 박스거더 내부에서 불안정녹층이 관찰되었으며, 특히, 상부 및 하부 플랜지의 경우 우수에 의한 체수, 결로 및 제설제에 의한 영향 등으로 부식 정도가 심하게 관찰되었다.

콘크리트내에 표면매입 보강된 FRP의 내화성능 향상을 위한 내화단열재 열저항성능 평가 (Evaluation on the Thermal Resistance Capacity of Fire Proof Materials for Improving Fire Resistance of Near-Surface-Mounted FRP in Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 철근콘크리트 구조의 FRP를 이용한 보강에서 낮은 내화성능을 개선하기 위한 방안을 찾기 위하여, 보강된 FRP의 외부를 내화보강하는 방법에 대한 내화실험을 실시하였다. 특히 철근콘크리트 부재의 피복에 홈을 형성하여 FRP를 매입하는 보강 즉, NSM 보강을 대상으로 하였다. 실험에서의 주요 변수는 보강방법과 사용 내화재료로서, Perlite계 재료를 표면에 분사하여 보강하는 방법, Calcium silicate계 보드로 표면에 부착하는 방법, 그리고 추가로 홈내부에 Polymer mortar 또는 Calcium silicate조각을 삽입하여 보강하는 방법으로 보강한 뒤 가열로 내부의 온도변화에 따른 열전달을 관찰하였다. 실험결과, Perlite계 내화뿜칠로 표면을 보강하는 경우보다 Calcium Silicate계 내화보드로 표면을 보강하는 방법이 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 홈 내부의 에폭시가 유리전이온도에 도달할 때의 외부 표면온도 $820^{\circ}C$까지 내화단열성능을 확보할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다.

CFRP로 보강된 철근콘크리트 휨부재의 내화성능 개선을 위한 실험 (Experiment for the Improvement of Fire Resistance Capacity of Reinforced Concrete Flexural Member Strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer)

  • This paper is a study to improve the fire-resistance capacity of reinforced concrete (RC) members strengthened by fiber-reinforced-polymer (FRP). The fire resistance of the RC members strengthened by FRP was evaluated through high temperature exposure test. In order to improve the fire resistance of the FRP reinforcing method, a fire-proof board was attached to the reinforced FRP surface and then the high temperature exposure test was carried out to evaluate the improvement of the fire resistance performance. It was confirmed that the resistance to high temperature of NSMR could be improved somewhat compared with that of EBR from the experiment that exposed to high temperature under the load corresponding to 40% of nominal strength. When 30 mm thick fire-resistance (FR) board is attached to the FRP surface, the surface of the reinforced FRP does not reach $65^{\circ}C$, which is the glass transition temperature (GTT) of the epoxy until the external temperature reaches $480^{\circ}C$. In particular, when a high performance fire-proof mortar was first applied prior to FR board attachment, the FRP portion did not reach the epoxy glass transition temperature until the external temperature reached $600^{\circ}C$.
