Conclusions - According to the analysis, the real-time smart watch/sports wristband exerts a positive impact on one's health promoting behavior. Health awareness is increasingly promoted in the process of using the device, and the impact of health awareness and self-efficacy effects on healthy behavior is considerable.
This study aimed to develop hypertension control programs and to analyse their effects in small scale enterprises. The program was self-efficacy promoting program for worker with hypertension. The target population of the programs are 67 workers. The program was conducted for 18 weeks after a pre- intervention survey. Data were analyzed by the SAS program with paired t-test. The results of the study are as follows; First, after the program, scores on self-efficacy were increased significantly. Second, after the program, life-style change was increased significantly. Third, the blood pressure level was diminished in the program. The workers have lost systolic blood pressure by 18mmHg and diastolic blood pressure by 13mmHg. In conclusion, the self-efficacy promoting program is an effective intervention to lower the blood pressure. Thus this program can be recommended as an intervention program of hypertension in small scale enterprises.
This study was to examine the efficacy of a root-dipping application of antagonistic bacterial strains for the control of Phytophthora blight of pepper caused by P. capcisi, and to evaluate their plant growth-promoting effects in the field in 2005 and 2006. The candidate antagonistic rhizobacterial strains CCR04, CCR80, GSE09, ISE13, and ISE14 were treated by dipping plant roots with bacterial suspensions prior to transplanting. The candidate rhizobacterial strains CCR04, CCR80, GSE09, and ISE14 significantly (P=0.05) reduced the disease incidence and the area under the disease progress curves when compared to buffer-treated controls in at least a year test. The metalaxy l(fungicide-treated control) resulted in one of the lowest disease incidences among the treatments in both years. Moreover, the strains CCR04, CCR80, GSE09, and ISE13 significantly (P=0.05) increased the fruit weights and/or numbers of peppers in at least a year test compared to the buffer-treated controls. These results suggest that the antagonistic rhizobacterial strains CCR04, CCR80, and GSE09 could be efficient biocontrol agents by controlling Phytophthora blight of pepper and promoting the plant growth when treated with root-dipping at transplanting.
BP201, porcine lung tissue-derived phospholipids, consists of phosphatidylcholine as a major phospholipid species. BP201 promoted hair growth after application onto the shaved backs of BALB/c and C3H mice. Its effect was enhanced when applied together with minoxidil (MNX) in C3H mice. When the tissue specimens prepared from the shaved skins of BP201-treated and control mice were microscopically examined, the total numbers of hair follicles in both anagen and telogen phases of BP201-treated mice were significantly higher than those of control mice. The numbers of hair follicles in the anagen phase of BP201-treated mice were also higher than those of control mice. In combination with MNX, BP201 further increased the total number of hair follicles, but did not alter the percentage of hair follicles in the anagenic phase. BP201 also increased the proliferation of human hair follicle dermal papilla cells. Collectively, BP201 possesses hair growth promoting potential, which would suggest its use singly or in combination for hair growth products.
A possible involvement of maturation promoting factor (nfPF) in the two-cell block phenomenon was studied by fusion experiments. Germinal vesicle (GlF) ooeyte was fused with a blastomore from late or blocked 2-cell mouse embryos. and germinal vesicle breakdoum (GVBD) of fused GV oocvtes in the presence of dbcAMP (100$\mu$g/ml) was scored as an index of MPF aniviD. GnD was induced approximately 30% by fusion of a blastomere derived from late 2-cell embryos, but not from blocked 2-cell embryos. The rate of GVBD was changed when GV oocyte was fused with a blastomere from late 2-cell embryos which were treated with u-amanitin, puromvcin or colcemid before and after hsion: Treatment of late 2-cell embryos with puromycin (50 Is/mll but not with u-amanitin (100 Is/ml) clearly inhibited GVBD, indicating that do novo protein synthesis maw be required for the appearance of MPF activity in late 2-cell embryos. Treatment of late 2-cell embryos w기h colcemid (0.1 Is/mll doubled GVBD, presumably due to the maintenance of metaphase or mitotic phase. SDS-PAGE and twoiimensional electrophoresis revealed that there was no difference in protein synthetic pattern in late and blocked 2-cell embryos, but three phosphoproteins with 27, 35 and 46 M)a, presumsblv M-phase components were phosphorylated in late 2-cell embryos but not in blocked 2-cell embryos. It seems then that MPF activity is closely related to phosphorylstion of M-phase components in late 2-cell embryos.
The health care environment exerts tremendous influence on community health practices. Here the author mention several major factors that will influence the future plan for health service and health education; that is, economic problem, the issues of decrement of infectious disease, increment of chronic degenerative disease due to natural increase of the elderly, increased frequency of traffic and industrial accidents and the issues of medical-technological advances etc. Therefore, special efforts by health personnel should be made to develop health education and health promotion strategies on a community-wide basis. Accordingly, the flexible accessibility, convenient availability, guaranteed medical service, sufficient supply of health information, and rapidly available medicaid service for special population such as the elderly, the handicapped, the disabled and the poor are considered. Also, the financial support from the central government and local self-government and active participation of health consumer to health service are needed in Korea, The role of the health personnel is to elicit, facilitate and maintain health promoting behavior with his and her assurance for health consumers being competent and supported in the voluntary choice of their health promoting activities. The health promoting activities such as the above mentioned will be produce escalation of their life Quality among Koreans.
This study investigates the core elements of the formation and development of cluster using a multi-disciplinary approach and suggests a promoting strategy by development stage of cluster. As a sub-category of regional innovation system, the cluster has been considered as one of the most noticeable methodological argument to make the regional innovation system come true. In the meantime, this study examines the core elements of cluster shown in the theories and examples through six academic fields such as economics, geography, regional development, business administration, sociology and pedagogy and their educational back-ground. By means of establishing the incubation stage in the development of cluster, core elements are composed in the stages of birth, incubation and evolution in subsequent manner. A promoting strategy will be suggested through the implication of core elements in the reestablished stages.
Purpose. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors affecting quality of sleep and sleep disturbance among inpatient. Methods. A descriptive correlational study was conducted Participants were 200 inpatient in a hospital located in B city. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. Result. Hospitalized patient's score of sleeping quality was 38.26 on an overall scale of 60, indicating it to be higher than 'Medium (30 points). Almost hospitalized patient in this study suffer from sleep disturbances. As results of univariate analyses, Educational level, Departments, Why hospitalized, Insomnia / depression, Chronic Disease, Scale of pain, physical symptoms, environmental factors, emotional factors, and sleep promoting behavior, disturbed sleep among hospitalized. However, the result of stepwise multiple regression analysis identified that physical symptoms, environmental factors, emotional factors, sleep promoting behavior, and Why hospitalized disturbed sleep and were significant score of sleeping quality for hospitalized and these sleep disturbance factors accounted 46.8% of variance of sleeping quality among hospitalized. Conclusion. These findings suggest that hospitalized patients with poor sleep quality should have their health carefully screened for physical symptoms, environmental factors, emotional factors, sleep promoting behavior, and why hospitalized. In addition, we recommend the development of a nursing program for improving sleep quality.
Ethylene is a key gaseous hormone that controls various physiological processes in plants including growth, senescence, fruit ripening, and responses to abiotic and biotic stresses. In spite of some of these positive effects, the gas usually inhibits plant growth. While chemical fertilizers help plants grow better by providing soil-limited nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphate, overusage often results in growth inhibition by soil contamination and subsequent stress responses in plants. Therefore, controlling ethylene production in plants becomes one of the attractive challenges to increase crop yields. Some soil bacteria among plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPRs) can stimulate plant growth even under stressful conditions by reducing ethylene levels in plants, hence the term "stress controllers" for these bacteria. Thus, manipulation of relevant genes or gene products might not only help clear polluted soil of contaminants but contribute to elevating the crop productivity. In this article, the beneficial soil bacteria and the mechanisms of reduced ethylene production in plants by stress controllers are discussed.

To develop new therapy for prevention and treatment of hair loss is very important according to increase of the number of hair loss people. The aim of this study was to investigate the hair growth promoting effects of pectin lyase-modified red ginseng extract (GS-E3D). We examined antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, human hair dermal papilla cells (HHDPC) proliferation, and testoterone-induced $5{\alpha}$-reductase inhibitory effects. GS-E3D show not only 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and xanthine oxidase inhibitory effects as an anti-oxidant property, but also lip-oxygenase and hyaluronidase inhibitory effects as an anti-inflammatory property. Human hair dermal papilla cells proliferation by GS-E3D was higher than those of minoxidil or finasteride, using the positive controls. Moreover, GS-E3D exhibited $5{\alpha}$-reductase inhibitory activities after stimulating by testoterone. The present results indicate that GS-E3D has a potential to be as an hair growth promoting agent for cosmetic materials.
