The Brain Korea 21 (i.e., BK21) is a state-led higher education funding project that started in 2013. Previous literature investigating the effectiveness of the project mainly focused on massive quantitative outcomes of funded teams, and many studies reporting only self-reported data of graduate students who participated in the project. Therefore, there were not many BK21 studies that thoroughly examined the graduate students' performance, ability, satisfaction, etc. This study aims to determine the effect of the BK21 project participation on graduate students' academic performance, using objective (the number of published papers), self-rating (graduates' satisfaction), and other-rating (advisor's performance evaluation) data, which were sampled from 2013 to 2019 from a single funded team on a one-departmental-unit. The results showed that the participating graduate students had more published papers, and had higher performance evaluation scores in research, and overall abilities, than the non-participating graduate students. Further, participating students were largely satisfied with BK21 supports. This study has significance in that it demonstrates the positive influence of the BK21 project on graduate students' academic performance and satisfaction by the thorough investigation of a single social science funded team.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution era requires people to have the ability of integrated thinking, critics, sensitivity, and creativity in an integrated manner. Therefore, teaching methods are expected to become more suitable for the trend. In this belief, current teacher-leading education method should move to students' self motivating one and consist of programs in which students voluntarily involve. In this reason, this study suggests FPBL educational method model that is combines project-based learning with flipped learning by analysing preceding research and digital painting tool class was designed by applying it. As a result of applying the designed class model to the class, all of the class satisfaction, effectiveness, and interaction were evaluated positively. Problems such as limitations of project classes due to non-face-to-face classes, large amount of learning before class, and reduced concentration during class were found. Therefore, when the FPBL class model is conducted non-face-to-face, it will be necessary to further strengthen the role of the instructor, provide lecture videos summarizing the core contents, and improve concentration by providing active participation and fun using various digital tools. The result of the study looks significant by confirming the possibility of applying FPBL model not only in design education but also other educational settings.

This study is purposed to suggest the method for improving the effect of the mental health project by checking the influence of the "value and function of the mentally disabled" to the "satisfaction to current life of the mentally disabled" for the users of the daytime mental rehabilitation service in the local community, and the difference in the"satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled" and "value and function of the mentally disabled" depending on the participation into the mental rehabilitation program. With regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", the result showed that the "relation between the current user members" and "consideration about himself in usual time" were the positive influential factors out of the measuring factors for the "value and function of the mentally disabled." In addition, with regard to the "satisfaction to the current life of the mentally disabled", in case of participating to the "vocational rehabilitation program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs, the general "personal value and function which are felt by the mentally disabled" has higher significant difference in case of participating into the "social technology program", "daily life program", "vocational rehabilitation program", "leisure activity program" out of the mental rehabilitation programs than non participating.

Currently, the budget for vocational competency development training has been expanded, but the number of participants has decreased. As the budget for the Vocational Competency Development Project increases, the participation of a large number of people becomes necessary. This study aims to derive factors that affect satisfaction by selecting factors related to respondent characteristics, training institutions, training types, and job performance for satisfaction with vocational competency development training, and to study ways to improve satisfaction. Data were collected through focus group interviews (FGI), and logistic regression analysis was conducted through feasibility review and reliability analysis. As a result, in the case of the model, it was confirmed that the degree of agreement between the case actually measured and the case predicted by the model was low in the Hosmer and Lemeshow test, but the overall classification accuracy was classified as 96.0% in the classification accuracy table. As for the influence of the factors, the result was derived that the application of knowledge technology, training institution facility equipment, Business Collaboration, long-term work plan, and satisfaction with work performed have an influence in the order.

In this study, the LINC project is finished and a new LINC+ has begun. For the settlement of mutual cooperation in universities and corporations, the main agenda of LINC+ project, this research attempts to find factors that are important to industries rather than the measurement of performance closely related to universities. From the companies' perspective, it is not easy to measure how much they are benefiting from mutual cooperation, although there are quantitative performance determinants such as sales, employment and export growth. Therefore, while estimating the satisfaction of industrial-educational cooperation and simultaneously estimating the satisfaction's effect to the development of companies, we try to estimate the contribution of satisfaction towards company development through subjective indicators. Through these efforts, we will raise the credibility of government policies through the cultivation of talented individuals who are customized to the industry through the cultivation of "Industry-Leading Universities" that we intend to pursue through the implementation of LINC+ business, and small and medium enterprises. Innovative support and the cooperation of industry-universities will increase job creation and ensure consistent industry. We will contribute to the mutual development of universities and industries.

This study conducted an analysis of the current use of and satisfaction with 40 village-unit core facilities that were created through a village-building project in Busan targeting users and non-users of the facilities. The study then examined ideas to promote the availability of the facilities. The results showed that for the users, they had been using the facilities for gathering and information-sharing, and the facilities were improving the interactions among the locals. In terms of non-users, the study confirmed that any relevant fields should develop diverse programs, start promotions in various ways and establish networks among neighbors to increase the non-users' use of the facilities In addition, the study found that the village-unit core facilities are working to encourage interactions among residents and that the locals' voluntary participation in operation of the facilities are needed. The study also suggested that networks across the local communities and diverse programs should be formed and developed.

Collaborative learning encourages the use of high-level cognitive strategies, critical thinking, and interpersonal relationships. Despite these advantages, most instructors reveal the difficulties of using project-based collaborative learning; a common problem is the failure of the group to work effectively together. Thus, this study attempted to provide practical advice on group composition with self-regulation. In a college course, 31 groups with 129 students were asked to discuss and prepare the final presentation material and present it together as a collaborative work. All students' self-regulation skills were measured at the beginning of the semester, and the collective self-regulation was computed as an average of the individual scores of each group. The results of regression analysis indicate that the group's collective self-regulation shows a highly significant positive effect on group performance and satisfaction, as self-regulation predicts individual academic performance. The results also show that there is a significant positive relationship between students' self-regulation and participation in group work.

The purpose of this study is to find out the development direction of adult learners' blended learning class as a study on the class satisfaction of adult college students according to the blended learning class participation type. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting adult learners at two schools that are carrying out the LiFE project (lifelong education system support project). The analyzed research results are as follows. First, in the case of adult learners, the proportion of participating in liberal arts + major classes as a blended learning subject was 77.8%, and home was the highest with 69.8% as a place to participate in online classes. Second, satisfaction with the blended learning teacher/instructor teaching method was generally satisfied with 95.2% of average or higher. Third, 96.8% of the students answered 'yes' or higher regarding the level of satisfaction with the blended learning method. The above research results show that blended learning is one of the important teaching and learning methods in providing adult-tailored education to adult learners who combine work and study. It can be seen that the blended learning teaching method is an effective teaching method that enables interactive communication between the instructor and the learner rather than the one-way teaching-oriented content delivery class of the traditional classroom.
