This paper has investigated the cultural practices influencing business performance and integrity in selected Malaysian contractors and has discussed culture related issues to improve the management of cultural capitals in the Malaysian construction industry. Issues of current enterprise culture and applicable cultural practices, leadership styles, enterprise axiology and integrity, cultural practices and loyalty, and identification of organizational culture are discussed during the semi-structured interviews and questionnaire survey. Conclusions has been drawn that the people oriented and task oriented management style have a similar quantity of supporters in Malaysian contractors. The integrity and profit are respectively identified as the enterprise axiology in the ethical and economic perspective. The monkey culture is considered as the most applicable type for the cultural practice and the current enterprise cultures applied in the Malaysian contractors are mostly positive to both the organizations and society.

정보 시스템 개발 프로젝트의 효율적이고 효과적인 관리를 위해, 국내 정보 시스템 분야에서는 현재 CMM을 이용하여 실제 프로젝트에 적용 가능한 정보 시스템 감리 및 프로젝트 관리 항목들이 요구되고 있다. 이런 관점에서 국내 관련 프로젝트에 실제로 참조될 수 있는 모델을 제안함으로써 프로젝트 관리자는 현재 조직의 성숙도 수준을 사전에 인식하고 향후 조직이 보다 향상된 정보 시스템 능력 성숙도를 갖도록 단계적 프로젝트 관리 항목 및 감리 지침들을 수립, 본 논문은 이를 제안하고 있다.

Global conglomerates in the late 2010s are seeking changes from the existing method of financial growth into that of sustainable growth, as they are facing the age of 4th industrial revolution. In preparation for this change of the times and to stay competitive, small businesses are required to produce creative knowledge, and systematically share and store it by means of implementing voluntary and specific changes in their convictions and actions. This study aims to empirically examine how the ICT small businesses' organizational learning participants' self-leadership affect their job satisfaction through organization orientation and Leader-Member Exchange(LMX). The research sample consists of the first to third-year employees that have previously participated in the small businesses' organizational learning support project, and of learning leaders, group leaders, and group members from companies that have previously concluded the project. The results are as follows: First, the self-leadership at the ICT small businesses' organizational learning project has been shown to have a positive effect on job satisfaction. The same positive results are shown in learning orientation and LMX. Second, the learning orientation has been shown to have a positive effect on job satisfaction. Third, the LMX has been shown to have a positive effect on job satisfaction.

Many organizations have transformed their business in order to survive and compete in the future. They generate projects by creating a vision, using strategies and objectives with funds aligning strategies and make efforts to complete them successfully because project success leads to business success. All projects have triple constraints such as scope, time, and cost to be completed. Project cost performance is a key factor to achieve project goals and which is mostly related with risks among various cost drivers. Projects require a cost estimation method to complete them within their budget and on time. An accurate budget cannot be estimated due to the uncertainties and risks. Thus some additional money should be funded in addition to the base budget as a contingency reserve for identified risks and a management reserve for unidentified risks. While research on contingency reserve for identified risks included in project budget baseline have been presented, research on management reserve for unidentified risks included in total project budget is still scarce. The lack of research on estimation method and role of the management reserve have made project managers little confidence to estimate project budget accurately with reasonable basis. This study proposes a practical model to estimate budgets including contingency and management reserves for not only project cost management but also to keep the balance of organization's total funds to maximize return on investments for project portfolio management. The advantages of the proposed model are demonstrated by its application to construction projects in Korea and the processes to apply this model for verification are also provided.

Analysis of current state of construction industry functioning in Ukraine allows us to identify a number of problems having negative impact on sustainable development of construction industry, especially in terms of its organization. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to study existing methods of organization system supplying construction sites with necessary material resources. Companies can develop their own logistics departments, which independently solve logistics issues related to transportation organization and management, accounting and inventory management, acquisition and warehousing, intercommunication (ability to obtain both final and intermediate information during transporting materials). Using a complex of methods is substantiated: the hierarchy analysis method (Saati's method), the network method, the defect elimination algorithm DEA, the transportation problem that finds optimal problem solutions for construction sector with the purpose of rational supplying uninterrupted construction with building resources in the designed model "provider-transportation-costs".

Information systems quality engineering is one of the most problematic areas in practice and research, and needs cooperative efforts between practice and theory [Glass, 1996]. A model for evaluating the quality of system development process and ensuing success is proposed based on information processing theory of project unit design. A nomological net among a set of quality variables is identified from prior research in the areas of organization science, software engineering, and management information systems. More specifically, system development success was modelled as a function of project complexity, system development modelling environment, user participation, project unit structure, resource availability, and the level of iterative nature of development methodology. Based on the model developed from the information processing theory of project unit design in organization science. appropriate quality metrics for each variable in the proposed model are matched. In this way, a framework of relevant systems development and success quality metrics for controlling systems development processes and ensuing success is proposed. The causal relationships among the constructs in the proposed model are proposed as future empirical research for academicians and as managerial tools for quality managers. The framework and propositions help quality manager to select more parsimonious quality metrics for controlling information systems development processes and project success in an integrated way. Also this model can be utilized for evaluating software quality assurance programmes, which are developed and marketed by many vendors.

Project-based joint ventures are often used in the construction industry to assemble an organization that meets a client's project needs and matches or exceeds the capacities of competitors. The joint venture / partnerships provides the means for a firm to quickly add resource, political, technical, or other required strengths that will increase project acquisition. This paper sets out to study the types of joint ventures, different issues or problems while having joint ventures and the critical factors that contribute to successful joint ventures. A questionnaire was designed and administered to survey the issues and present practices of joint ventures in the South Florida construction industry. Along with the questionnaire, personnel interviews were also conducted to get first hand knowledge about the subject matter. The results are presented in the paper. These results specifically identify the overall practice of joint ventures in South Florida as well as indicate the most significant factors leading to failure or success of these ventures.

본 연구는 금년 초에 착수한 과학기술종합지식 경영시스템(R&D KMS) 개발 사업을 소개한 것이다. 본 사업은 과학기술부 지원 하에 국내 다수의 과학기술연구소와 개발사업체등이 공동으로 과학기술 연구개발 종사자와 유관기관들 간에 과학기술 지식공유 및 R&D 관리효율성을 위하여 추진된 것이다. 개발된 R&D KMS는 과학기술 지식포털, 지식저장검색시스템, 연구관이시스템 및 R&D그룹웨어 등의 4까지 부문으로 구성된다. 3개년 동안 개발된 이 시스템은 연구개발종사자, 소속기관의 연구개발관리부서는 물론 정부의 과제관리기관의 연구개발활동 및 과제관리를 효율적으로 추진하는 기반이 될 것이다.

A housing project is very sensitive the changing environment. Therefor, a housing project is the high risk. Therefor in order to be succeed the project it becomes necessary to effectively manage the risk involved in the process of the housing project. This study analysed the risk factors that involved in the process of the housing project as compared with the precede research. The results of this research are as follows : First, complete feasibility study and verification with conviction in market and environment are required. And, securing organization and specificity for simulation and variation of environment are required in the process by step. And then, complaint and flaw are required in the final stage. The results of this study can be used as the guideline to make the risk management system for the housing project.

This paper presents, with some actual cases of employing clear case, as a R&D project configuration management tool, a new methodology for the evaluation and enhancement of project performance in R&D organization. This methodology enables you to forecast future results of the project with story telling skill, to innovate R&D project execution using the concept of Technology Supply Chain with global R&D human resources, to improve the performance of each development stage based on the voices of customer, and to enhance the quality of output and to minimize risk of project with timely positioning of R&D human resources.
